Stitch Con sounds so fun - and to have so many stitchers nearby! Absolutely gorgeous shawl - and I say a wonderful gift! (Insert muppet arms as I scream and run to email you! I’m so excited. Thank you!!!) so many fun wips and Sal names - I need to work on that! Such fun haul all around! Sir Thomas is very intimidating and I love it sooo much!

I just loved the way you combined the Artsy Housewife patterns Grace & Peace into one stitched piece….so I purchased them and am attempting to do the same…. I have a whole new respect for your talents & for all the creative juggling you did to make these pieces fit together….thank you for the inspiration!!
The Baubles pattern is STUNNING, Amity. 😍😍😍 always loooove seeing your updates and what you’ve been working on. I’m so jealous of your baby critters, especially the raccoons. Sooo cute!
Sir Thomas is so tempting. I would love to see it in person at a shop to really get a feel for the beads and rainbow braid! Can't wait to watch your progress and possibly even join in on a SAL! Thank you for including your haul section from Stitch Con....that's one of my favorite parts! A SAL for Beloved sounds good too (I plan on just stitching the birds also and mine is kitted and ready).

I am a huge A Song of Ice and Fire fan, I spend hours listening to theory videos and I'm even designing patterns inspired by the books. I love the beginning of the show and am loving House of the Dragon so much. I can rant for hours about all the fake history of the world so much more than real world history. Love the video and all the haul!!

At least once during every video of yours I laugh so hard I'm in tears. Thanks for bringing the joy. Amity, the bauble is beautiful! I love your pattern style, please keep making them! I'm hoping to be able to attend a retreat someday, it sounds like a wonderful experience.

Hi ladies! So glad to see that you are back with another great video. I loved the pic of the raccoon kids and the baby skunk video. Did you know that skunks have poor eyesight? They chased off the raccoon as they see it is a threat. The foot stomping thing is a precursor to the smelly assault that would follow. Skunks don't see humans as a predatory threat since we tend to give them a wide berth. A number of years ago, there was a beautiful skunk who visited our backyard nightly. I used to feed it good-quality German hot dogs by calling it to me (I named it Stinky) and tossing the hot dog to it. Over the course of a summer, i was able to feed it by hand. Sadly, one day, it was hit by a car in front of our house on our busy road. It was a sweetie.
I'm happy you've found patterns that you like in the ones i sent you, and glad they will be made. Especially Sir Thomas, which i bought a few years back; what the heck was i thinking?
You're going to Stitch North? Is there a particular weekend?
Amity, i hope you feel better and that your finger heals (maybe have your dr look at it?). And Erinn, i share your reticence about higher count fabrics, though i'm going to give it a try soon.

Hi Donna!! Great to hear from you (as always!) I had never even thought about getting to the point that we could hand feed one of the skunks, but now it's definitely a goal! Sorry to hear about Stinky. Glad they got to enjoy some time with you and some quality German hot dogs.
We love all of the patterns you sent - it was a struggle to decide which ones to start first! I'm so excited to see Amity's start on Sir Thomas. I didn't realize what a large pattern it was. It's going to be beautiful!

I was so eager to hear about your trip to Stitch Con. Glad you both had a great time. It was so cute to see your eyes especially Amity when you were talking about Game of Throne, blue eyes and slashing,fun, dragity things, fire, lol. That shawl is gorgeous. I always such a hard time trying to find the right bauble for my project bags. Wow! The stain class frame on one of your charts was amazing. Too cute, matching jackets. Your label should have a bird or birds on it.

Sometimes I get the giggles at your edited spots, trying to imagine what you two were doing and whether it was so scandalous it had to be cut out. Ha, ha, ha! And I died laughing at that Cauldron fabric story. That’s a gorgeous piece of “dirty” fabric! I would have celebrated too!

Oh my goodness!!! My grandma completed the same tapestry finish you purchased from Etsy (first one shown) when she was pregnant with my dad in 1952. She had it framed and displayed in her home until she passed. My mom recently offered it to me! I also think it is such a beautiful design!

Love those Bauble birds! Another fun video ladies. For Amity and the smelly fabric, there is a product called MaryEllen's Smell Away. I believe I found it at Joanns. It is a spray and does help get rid of smells in fabric. I am happy to see you are going to start Sir Thomas, I am about 3/4 of the way through him. You will love it!.

I stitched the purple bat by Barbie. It was a fun stitch with Cobweb Corner and flosstuber Helen D last year. I stitched it in black on mottled orange fabric. I love it. Oh dear you two are a hoot and all of the SALS, and love your new pattern Amity! I traveled for my job via airplane for work for about 30 years and I truly believe high altitudes affect your chewing gum! Mine really never lasted that long to be honest, I was always chewing on take off and arrival, and it was so nice to be able to pack a cross stitch project in my suitcase to work on while away! Cross stitch is so portable! 😁 Amity you are not alone, I don't watch tv, so not Game of Thrones for me either, no idea what it is even about!

You two just crack me up. I got to spend some time with my sisters,who live opposite corners of US, and we sounded like you. Game of thrones story: it seemed every time I walked in on my son and friends [adults] there were unclothed people on the huge screen we have in our media room. Finally, in season four I saw an iron clad woman and the boys clapped because finally I can believe they were watching a real show. I did see season four before we went to Dubrovnik where a lot of it was filmed. ‘Fun’ is not an adjective for this series--still laughing.

I love the pattern Schitt's Creek sampler you designed, bought it as soon as I saw harborstitcher's post of it! All my cross stitch patterns are organized in SC binders that I have scoured the internet to find. You guys rock!!
How have I never thought of trading craft skills before??? I knit, crochet and cross stitch but am always in need of stitching project bags, that is a brilliant idea! I'll have to see if any of my sewing people are up for a trade, I can knit them some socks to keep their feet nice and cozy!

OMG, I canNOT watch your videos without 1) laughing my head off and 2) wanting to buy things!! I keep reminding myself, "I have cross stitch at home...I have cross stitch at home..." LOL I have to get my version of "Stubborn" finished, then I can share in my next video.

I've always admired Sir Thomas (possibly my favourite Glendon Place chart...) but I don't think I can commit quite that much time to a turkey lol (even though I am a signed up bird nerd). Speaking of birds, Bauble Birds is beautiful, congrats on the release Amity! When I saw your names announced for Midsummer Stitch I was so hoping to get the chance to meet you both, but your slot is 2am-4am here and I just can't handle that - time zones suck :( Fingers crossed our paths may cross at another point in the event.

I'm going to keep an eye out for broken-paned stained glass at the antique stores around me in case I think I can frame a bauble in it! Might be difficult, but what a great idea.

Everyone needs a Bauble or two for their holiday decor.
A friend of mine is a prolific knitter (I knit, too, but I’m slow and have too many other hobbies to get much done). She recently gave a pile of shawls to my mom’s independent/assisted living facility. They gave them out and the ladies there were thrilled to have them. ETA: Bauble Birds is lovely! 💚
