OMG I wasn't expecting this but this is the video I NEEDED right now, such a comfort film for me, as a matter of fact in a few months at my wedding my dress is a recreation of Emily's dress!
1:46 they have a stigma to New-Money Families which Victor's Family is given their lucrative Fish industry providing them with much wealth. Something Victoria's Old-Money family is falling behind on. It's a marriage of convenience for both Parties as Victor's family would save Victoria's family from poverty while Victoria's family would give Victor's Family a higher status in Aristocratic society.
Emily couldn’t be with Victor in the end, not because of death, but because she was in love with the idea of marriage rather than the person she was trying to marry. I absolutely adore this movie because it sends the message that in the end you have to be happy and content within yourself. “You” have to be enough.
Great choice for October spooky month! Love the singing in this as well as the story but the ending was bittersweet. You really felt for her and the selfless choice she made.
He may have directed it, but the characters and story were all Burton. The only reason he handed it over to Sellick is because he was busy with Batman Returns.
When I was 5 years old, I saw this cartoon on a CD and I was so impressed by how beautiful it is, but at the same time frightening. That's when I fell in love with Burton's films.
I'm so happy that you enjoyed this movie. :) My husband and me used the vows from this movie for our wedding, the wine, the three steps and the candle. lol I was so nervous that I needed help lighting the candle. XD
I like both movies equally, I think credit goes to this movie for a more mature story and more fleshed-out characters Nightmare Before Christmas has better songs, I do like Corpse Bride's songs though, especially Remains of the Day
I've got another recommendation for movie that's sort of a Halloween/ Christmas crossover. Hogfather from 2006. It's a little long as it was originally a 2 part miniseries, but it's good, and almost no one else has reacted to it.
You guys should definitely react to Coraline as well ! can't say how much I got scared as a child watching these movies and yet still loving them so much
Tbh I still hold hope that they'll make a prequel film about Emily, i know the song told us plenty but theres many many years before that transpires. Live action, animated, or what i honestly want is the movie to be in stop motion
Love love Love ❤️ ❤️ ❤️ this movie I was scared when I first watched it and I was hoping it would end differently to how I thought the story was going I’m so glad I did but I felt so sorry for Emily in this movie it was truly great being a kid and watching this 😀
The corpse bride is my favorite movie, but i also love nightmare before christmas too.. they both have their magic though.... but the corpse bride takes the cake for me
This is An apples, and oranges argument. Both are entertaining in they’re own way. Both are given the artists loving hand.Tim Burton is bringing back A lost art. You might want to try his stop motion version of Frankenweenie next.
I’m kinda sad that this doesn’t have the same amount of fanfare that nightmare before Christmas got back in 1993, maybe this was because corpse bride was released back in 2005 (correct me if I’m wrong).
I would say Corpse Bride is better than The Nightmare before Christmas, both are very good in their own ways but I in my opinion watched more of this movie growing up and loving this one more. The songs in this movie are fantastic and the one where the skeletons tell her death is the best song in my opinion.
4:44 lol sometimes you need to just layback enjoy the movie, you try to make predictions on so many of the vids while watching, don't jump ahead, you need that priest to hit you on the head too lol "pay attention!"
I've watched Corpse Bride three or four times, but TBH, while it's a decent movie, I'm not sure it's something I really needed to see more than once. Considering how much work went into the animation, I feel a little bad that I don't like the movie more, no matter how much I try to force myself. Maybe it's not entirely fair to compare the two, but I definitely prefer The Nightmare Before Christmas; Halloweentown is just way more interesting than what little we see of the Land of the Dead.
So fascinated by the comments here. Many strongly prefer this to The Nightmare Before Christmas, others very much the opposite. I wonder why? I know I was overwhelmed by TNBC's music, and still am, but am underwhelmed by the music of The Corpse Bride, although I enjoy the story. And people call Emily beautiful, while I am disturbed by her bones and maggot friend (although I love that he sounds like Peter Lorre).
Guys, when is the reaction of #kgf2???and make sure that ur editing vl be good, coz so many scenes are in topnotch than 1st one!!so hope u vl react soon!!!!
There's something weird about Emily's death. Lord Barkis said he was bethroded years ago but it takes at least two years for a corpse to become a skeleton, so it means she's not dead since a long time
In a short answer; no, it's not better than nightmare before christmas. It's a decent movie, but Nightmare before christmas is a classic on the same levels as a christmas story.
This was movie was... ok. Nowhere near as good as the other stop-motion films. You guys should watch Coraline, Frankenweenie, Kubo, and ParaNorman. All absolutely fantastic films.
Please do not take this poorly but you remind me of Sally in NBC oddly enough, especially when you are wearing bright red lipstick. Perhaps I have watched NBC too many times.

React to The Haunted Mansion movie next
Another news The Dos Cavazos walk the earth 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
The most horrific part is that he must have burried her ALIVE, meaning she slowly suffocated to death and didn´t die from the blow to the head.
OMG I wasn't expecting this but this is the video I NEEDED right now, such a comfort film for me, as a matter of fact in a few months at my wedding my dress is a recreation of Emily's dress!
that's so cool, i bet it looks stunning!!! i hope you have a lovely day :)
Emily is just so likable. This is my favorite stop-motion movie
“When I was a kid I thought she was the prettiest girl ever” same girl same 😂
Victor is voiced by Johnny Depp and Emily is Helena Bonham Carter. Victoria is Emily Mortimer.
The parents are great Tracey Ullman and the brilliant Paul Whitehouse one the one hand and Joanna Lumley and Albert Finney on the other
Emily Watson
1:46 they have a stigma to New-Money Families which Victor's Family is given their lucrative Fish industry providing them with much wealth. Something Victoria's Old-Money family is falling behind on.

Fun fact: Jack's singing voice is Danny Elfman, the composer of all the music in the movie
And he’s Bonejangles voice too
His speaking voice is Chris Sarandon, who played Humperdink in The Princess Bride, and the vampire in Fright Night.
I love how Victor is so ticklish when the spiders are fixing his suit. It must have made for a fun wedding night.
Emily couldn’t be with Victor in the end, not because of death, but because she was in love with the idea of marriage rather than the person she was trying to marry. I absolutely adore this movie because it sends the message that in the end you have to be happy and content within yourself. “You” have to be enough.
The priest was voiced by the beloved Christopher Lee. RIP ❤
Great choice for October spooky month! Love the singing in this as well as the story but the ending was bittersweet. You really felt for her and the selfless choice she made.
One thing I love about this movie is that the underworld and the dead folks were livelier than the living. Meanwhile in the living world is so gloomy
That’s actually an amazing reversal of that concept cuz usually the underworld is gloomy while upstairs it’s more colorful and lively
Nightmare before Christmas is more of Henry Selick than Tim Burton… you should check out Coraline, is a masterpiece ❤
I just wanted to write exactly that. Go Coraline!
It's also really creepy.
He may have directed it, but the characters and story were all Burton. The only reason he handed it over to Sellick is because he was busy with Batman Returns.
@@Rocket1377 yeah, well, I preffer the things he has done over Burtons
When I was 5 years old, I saw this cartoon on a CD and I was so impressed by how beautiful it is, but at the same time frightening. That's when I fell in love with Burton's films.
I still think Emily is the prettiest character ever
This movie is my childhood. I remember it line for line and frame for frame.
I'm so happy that you enjoyed this movie. :)
My husband and me used the vows from this movie for our wedding, the wine, the three steps and the candle. lol I was so nervous that I needed help lighting the candle. XD
Oh, really ? That's cute. You were line Victor during the training
That song, Tear to Shed, slays me every time 😣😭
Fun fact, the maggot is a parody of famous actor Peter Lorre. Both the look and voice.
I'd say it's definitely up there with Nightmare before Christmas
You know, for being in the ground for 30 odd years, she still looks really good. She must have been a real stunner when she was alive.
you should watch paranorman next! it's also stop-motion, and it's made by the same people who made coraline.
Great reaction!
“I have one condition: no shitting in the bed”
Bwahahahahaha GASP! Hahahahahahaha
😂🤣
I see what you did there. 😆
“Is it better than Nightmare Before Christmas”
Answer: No, But Corpse Bride is really good though.
I like both movies equally, I think credit goes to this movie for a more mature story and more fleshed-out characters
Nightmare Before Christmas has better songs, I do like Corpse Bride's songs though, especially Remains of the Day
I love Tim Burton movies. You guys should react to Edward Scissorhands, Sleepy Hollow, and Big Fish.
I've got another recommendation for movie that's sort of a Halloween/ Christmas crossover. Hogfather from 2006. It's a little long as it was originally a 2 part miniseries, but it's good, and almost no one else has reacted to it.

can't say how much I got scared as a child watching these movies and yet still loving them so much
Definitely agree that Harry Potter is both Halloween & Christmas.
I always liked Corpse Bride much more than The Nightmare before Christmas.
Tbh I still hold hope that they'll make a prequel film about Emily, i know the song told us plenty but theres many many years before that transpires. Live action, animated, or what i honestly want is the movie to be in stop motion
17:27 He’s a lightweight 😂😂 you know cause he’s only bones
Can you react to cyberpunk edgerunner
Remember watching this film as a child absolutely delightful film by far in the top 5 lists I think
When you said “it’s a childhood favorite” I felt old 😢
Love love Love ❤️ ❤️ ❤️ this movie I was scared when I first watched it and I was hoping it would end differently to how I thought the story was going I’m so glad I did but I felt so sorry for Emily in this movie it was truly great being a kid and watching this 😀
For me, the nightmare before Christmas is the best of the best, # 1 classic always
I agree, mostly because the music is much better and there's more fun to it. But this story is still special and memorable.
@@glowormrdr6183 oh yes this story and movie is a great piece of work in my love for art and film as well.
I miss these kinds of Tim Burton movies! They have always been my favorite!
Slow clap for the "shitting in bed comment"
If you don't mind me asking, where was the lost wedding ring? XD
I know! He didn't say!
Yes. Yes it is.
The corpse bride is my favorite movie, but i also love nightmare before christmas too.. they both have their magic though.... but the corpse bride takes the cake for me

I’m watching both of those movies soon. I’ll soon be able to answer this question 😂
I’m kinda sad that this doesn’t have the same amount of fanfare that nightmare before Christmas got back in 1993, maybe this was because corpse bride was released back in 2005 (correct me if I’m wrong).
I love nightmares before christmas but I have to say that yes , corpse bride is better.. the music, the characters, just the story is so good.
I slot Harry Potter as a Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas Movie
I love this movie and the songs are great!
I would say Corpse Bride is better than The Nightmare before Christmas, both are very good in their own ways but I in my opinion watched more of this movie growing up and loving this one more.
The songs in this movie are fantastic and the one where the skeletons tell her death is the best song in my opinion.
Tim Burton always knows how to make a good movie
I love this movie 😍
And next, you guys must watch Coraline 😊

I definitely think NBX is more rewatchable, and has better songs. Corpse Bride's colour palette is also a bit too monochrome at times.
The answer is YES: this movie is better than “The Nightmare Before Christmas”.
I do like TNBC a lot, too.
I love this movie but Nightmare before Christmas will always be the Goat for me
Mob and my hero 😅
この映画大好き
Y’all should give cyberpunk: Edgerunners at try I think y’all would love it ❤
#KUBO and the Two Strings by the makers of Coraline next please 😭😭

Great reaction! While I really like this movie, I kind of find the finale kind of unsatisfying!
You guys should watch Sweeney Todd, is my favorite Tim Burton movie, is a horror musical what can get better than that ♥️
Yes watch Nightmare on Elm street! (original) !!
Guys, when is the reaction of #kgf2???and make sure that ur editing vl be good, coz so many scenes are in topnotch than 1st one!!so hope u vl react soon!!!!
Will yall react to she hulk??
Honestly, I like watching both of you but Kacee is definitely more the type I’d watch movies with. No offense Anthony
I do prefer The Nightmare before christmas. The story of Corpse bride doesn’t grip me.
This is way better animated than Nightmare Before Christmas but I don't like the story or music as much.
There's something weird about Emily's death. Lord Barkis said he was bethroded years ago but it takes at least two years for a corpse to become a skeleton, so it means she's not dead since a long time

how about watching korea movie?
taegukgi (korea war)
Corpse Bride = Underrated
The Nightmare Before Christmas = Overrated
growing up as an outwardly gay boy, miss Corpse Bride was so stunning to me
This was movie was... ok. Nowhere near as good as the other stop-motion films. You guys should watch Coraline, Frankenweenie, Kubo, and ParaNorman. All absolutely fantastic films.
Watch Coraline now
Please do not take this poorly but you remind me of Sally in NBC oddly enough, especially when you are wearing bright red lipstick. Perhaps I have watched NBC too many times.
Movie isnt that great, YOU NEED TO WATCH CORALINE!!!!! best stop motion film!!!
