    Some other interesting facts:
-Provided that Ryan Newman doesn't find a ride for 2022, Kurt Busch will become the only active Cup series driver to have raced against Dale Earnhardt.
-From 1961-1963, Herman Beam competed in 84 consecutive races without any DNFs, a record that stood until it was broken by Greg Biffle in 2014.
-The only car number to have actually been retired for good in NASCAR is #61 in the Modified division, as a tribute to Richie Evans.
-Hershel McGriff is also the oldest driver to ever compete in a NASCAR-sanctioned race, racing in the 2018 K&N West race in Tuscon at the age of 90.
-On 7/7/07, Clint Bowyer finished 7th at the Pepsi 400, in car #07. He also led the most laps.
-When Jeff Gordon retired from full-time racing in 2015, he had competed in every single Cup race he entered. All 798 races from the 1992 finale, to the 2015 finale.
-12:55 On that note, Cassill's last-place finish in that race was preceded by a last-place finish at Daytona, becoming the first Cup driver to finish last in the first two races of a season since 1949.

July 21, 1956, Fireball Roberts won a 200 lap race on a half mile track inside Soldier Field, then Richard Petty's first 2 Cup starts were inside Exhibition Stadium in Toronto (1/3 mile track), then the next day at a quarter mile track inside Buffalo's War Memorial Stadium in July 1958

The only way Kyle Larson didn't win the 2021 Nascar Championship is with Average Finish throughout the entire season:

    Denny Hamlin 8.44
Further more, had Denny Hamlin not been spun out by Alex Bowman at Martinsville, the second to last race of the season, Hamlin would have won the Winston points championship.
