"Fundamental Dividing Principle" from "Rhizomes of Insanity".
Earlier this year, Fractal Universe released their new full-length, Rhizomes of Insanity, via Metal Blade Records, and toured across Europe in support of it. During their album release show at Le Gueulard+ in Nilvange, France, on April 19th, 2019, the band recorded their performance, where they played Rhizomes of Insanity in its entirety, along with some fan favorites. Shot by Vincent Tournaud, the complete live show will be posted soon. See below for the full set list:

Rhizomes of Insanity hits as hard intellectually as it does sonically, affirming the French quartet's place on the progressive death metal map. "'Rhizomes of Insanity' is a concept album based on a thought experiment around the concept of insanity," asserts vocalist/guitarist Vince Wilquin. "It questions the origins of it, and tries to define where we set its boundaries with 'reason'. It eventually questions its place in our modern society and surmises that it has turned into an intrinsic, unavoidable but also necessary part of it and of every human being, which we're trying to repress at all costs." From start to finish, the album is an immersive, complex yet wholly accessible collection rich in melody, invention, and packed with decimating riffs - wielding ten tracks, all of which hit their mark.
Next year, Fractal Universe will hit the road again in Europe, this time with Obscura, God Dethroned, and Thulcandra. Fractal Universe comments: "We're stoked to be part of this amazing line-up alongside Prog-Death giants Obscura as well as our Metal Blade label-mates from God Dethroned and German Death/Black heavyweights Thulcandra!
This is a huge opportunity for the band and we're looking forward to meeting old and new fans all over Europe! Special thanks to Kult Management and Obscura for their trust."
