Hey, brother - thank you so much for this video. Noticed a sweet burning smell on our 2003 Honda Odyssey after driving on the freeway - leaking blue coolant from the plastic top of the radiator. Thanks to your video, I was able to do a job I would never in my right mind think I could ever do. Thank you for sharing your skills and wisdom for other folks to learn from and save a lot of money in the long run. You are much appreciated!
I did it with your video not as easy as you but for being a plumber not a mechanic it was pretty good fine it' took me me 2 days but I'm proud of myself thank you
@@CRAPO2011it is a 2004. It was a “OEM”. But it came from the junkyard. We ran into a deer. I got the whole replacement front end from the junkyard. The junkyard radiator didn’t last too long. But it did get us by.
It comes right out without removing fans, bumper ,headlights if you're patient and careful. Remove the brass intake and outlet fittings and it very quick and easy. Do the same for the new fittings and put them back on after the radiator us seated. Its a tight spot but very doable even with large hands . The fittings can be installed from under the van.

Love your huge garage space, how many miles do you have in your 04 odyssey ?
Thank-you, it was probably low 300,000 miles at that time. The transmission went out a few months ago.
Where do you get the attachments to the radiator to do the burping?
Amazon or Harbor Freight

Total... maybe three hours. Not bad
@@RocketGarageServicethank you! I will try this weekend.

I’m about to do the same work. How long that it took you to replace it?
2-3 hours, after I knew what I was doing.
Thanks for the heads up.
Was that an OEM Honda radiator that failed in one year?Hows is the denso aftermarket Radiator holding up?
So both OEM radiator lasted years!!!! The denso is great. Still working great
What brand was the radiator that failed in one year?
didn't have any issue with mounting tabs? Yours is a 2002?

@@RocketGarageService ahhh thanks for clarifying,I saw it Had Honda embossed on it👍
Could you have taken the radiator out with the fans still attached?
I am sure you could, but it would cause more work or damage then its worth. Fan were really not that bad to take off.
I've seen videos with the fans on the radiator put in and taken out.

Cut the core ?? Wow
Facts!!! I will do a trap door for a fuel pump. Not cutting the radiator support out.
