It's not that common that a review gets me to completely change my mind on a figure. Most of the time the video will either be the final push for me to get something I was considering but hesitant on, or the final nail in the coffin vindicating a decision to avoid the purchase. This time, however, I went from thinking "Eh, if I see it in person I might, but even then probably not," to "Oh wow, I NEED this!" You did a fantastic job with this video, Jason!
2:28 I do like the platinum version more because of the classic look & the red underneath the silver panels of the right arm look like muscle fibers. 9:31 Also this is an AMAZING kitbash!
🎉 Hi Jason, I'm really happy to see your video and got a really nice surprise to see that you follow my suggestion to have the height of the figures in cms. I know it's a little detail but it really help collectors outside of the states to know the product. For this I give you 10 points 😁
Thanks so much! It was a great suggestion. I'm here to help y'all make the best purchasing decisions you can for your collection, so the more info for the most people, the better!
I'm particularly obsessed with the S-shield on this Cyborg Superman 😂 It ticks all the boxes for me in terms of shape, size and general execution. Reminds me a lot of how it was drawn in the 90s, especially by Jon Bogdanove :) Thanks for going the extra mile with all those part swaps! 👍👍👍
I love this figure and was able to find the platinum version as well. I prefer the platinum look better. The only gripes I have is I think his normal arm is too short/small and his legs are way too long. Proportions are off just enough to mildly annoy me every time I look at him. Thank you for another awesome review!
Honestly, I could care less about pinless joints. Since I like to customize, going pinless makes it harder to parts swap. Unless the elbow joint itself can pop on and off. I kind of want to see that head with a fully armored Ghost of Krypton Superman.
I have this figure on order and I am really hoping they send me the variant version. Knowing Amazon though they will probably send me the new John Stewart Green Lantern figure, which they have done 2 time's.
Why have you not reviewed the eradicator to go with superboy, steel or cyborg superman jason and when are you gonna review the black and white hush batman to compare him next to TDKR Superman and 1st appearance Batman?
Black and White Batman *should* be my next video. If not next, then the one after it. As for Eradicator, like I said it's a version I don't like, and at this point only available on the aftermarket. For me to review a figure that has been around so long, that I do not like, and is so expensive I will never even break even on it does not make sense. If and when McFarlane makes a 90s version, I will. But otherwise, I will not be reviewing it. Sorry. If all you want is to see how it scales, it's just Hush Superman with a new head, cape, and trunks.
good review, looks cool, is on my list (but not that high with Superboy and the still not released Steel), I recently ordered the final missing pieces for my Frost King, John Stewart
Do you like any of the McFarlane versions of these? I do. I wish Mafex, and Mezco were 7 or 8 inch figures. That way, everything would be the same scale. Thanks for the video. Still remember the day my dad bought them for me.
Agreed! As a variation, it's a good one. And the story is not only personal, but the drama is higher. Especially as she is really trying to rescue him.
Does anyone know the height of Cyborg Superman Zor-El in the comics? Superman is 6'3", is Cyborg Supes supposed to be taller? I got mine just a week ago and before opening it I immediately could tell his legs were longer than the usual figure. I'm happy I collected him, but disappointed in the scaling. I wish McFarlane gave more of a damn for us collectors.

I really REALLY appreciate the thorough part swaps and examples on all the Supermen! You really are for the people. 👏🏼
The “pivot” might be my favourite part of these reviews haha!
Thank you! I really enjoy them too
It's Ross' favorite too
This will be my Hank Henshaw until McVarlane releases an actual Henshaw... When that happens, he'll go back to being Kara's Dad
Sounds like a plan!
My thoughts exactly!😊
Same here. 😂
Tha last kitbash goes crazy hard. Itd be out of my usual 6 inch scale, but I'd definitely buy that if ut were on shelves
Thanks so much! Yeah, I had a lot of fun with that one
DUUUUUUDE...what great ideas you came up with, with those part swaps, thats why we watch you my boy!🧐
Thanks so much! Glad you enjoyed them
That hand is crazy!!
Yeah it is!

Also this is an AMAZING kitbash!
Thank you! Yeah, if I can I want the platinum
These are awesome! Dammit, Uncle Robo! You've just convinced me to get all of these! 😅
While I am very flatted to be confused with one of the best in the biz, I am not Robo lol
Well done sir!
Thank you!
RIGAMAROLE DONE ✅✅ love this figure!!!
Thank you as always Joe!

I was happy to get this. Repainting the metal parts with metallic marker really elevates this figure.
I bet that looks great!

You're very welcome!
The batwing parts look soo good in this guy as the right arm and left leg

Glad you enjoyed it, and very happy for you that you managed to nab a Platinum Edition!
That kitbash is pretty good and would probably work better with the Platinum, but ya know, Platinum Chase.
Agreed. If I find that Platinum I am nabbing it
I passed on this figure. That was until I saw the Platinum version at Target and it looked so much better to me that I had to get it.
I watched the video because I love the channel but the possibility of customization had me seated taking notes like I owned the figures 😅

Really? Wow that's terrible
@@5POAFigureReviews I tried to order the Superman Blue figure with the plastic man piece twice and got John Stewart instead.

Head swap or arms swap eh! 😉😂😂😂😂😂
And a few legs!

Can you use a headswap using flashpoint superman and injustice superman
I don't have Flashpoint Superman, sorry!
@@5POAFigureReviews damn well can you review it in the future
Even though I still prefer Hank Henshaw, I kinda like that this is Kara’s father. It makes it more personal.
Agreed! As a variation, it's a good one. And the story is not only personal, but the drama is higher. Especially as she is really trying to rescue him.
Hey Jason, if you're still working on the Tim Drake Robin kit bash, I'd still love to see it.
I am hoping to revisit it in September
Got it price matched at Target for $19.99
That's awesome!

I did some Googling but I can't find a height on the Zor-El Cyborg Superman, only Hank Henshaw.
@@5POAFigureReviews Thank you for trying to find an answer. I appreciate it.
Wished todd did the animated movie one
They seem to have dropped off on the Animated stuff, outside of the DC Direct reissues
Great version of Zor-el Cyborg Superman. Hank Henshaw version will never beat DC Direct Return of Superman Cyborg Superman.
I personally won't be picking up this one up, maybe if I see the platinum personally I don't like the designed one that much.
Def not gonna be for everyone
Day 35 of asking for bane the musical
Lol
April fools was real
Indeed it was lol
Pins don't bother me.
They don't bother me either, but I am very excited to see them try new things and step up their game, and I know a lot of collectors prefer them
I feel he should be blonde
