    Sadia speaks the truth.
    Women cheat at a real emotional level. I had a close to sexless marriage had opportunities to cheat and fill that void , but always had my family in my mind and never got close. Had I cheated it 100% would be a physical thing.
    My wife cheated and I entertained forgiving her for a minute. I’m glad I didn’t … her disrespect of me was off the charts. You can’t repair something especially with someone like that.
    My now ex-wife after cheating went to further lengths taking my home and my kids off me. She has tried to replace me with this new guy in my kids lives. I have spend the last two years fighting her in family court I have won but unfortunately she has damaged my daughters. On top of all this I pay for psychologists to help my girls.

I’ve spent many years in therapy and I’ve met dozens of psychologists. Even though that sounds like a lot of time, I still spent the majority of my time at home with my family. What I’m saying is, the psychologists can help and are a good outlet and resource for your daughters but you, their father, are going to be around them for the vast majority of their days. Know that they will not understand why their lives were so shaken up and they will not understand why you had to do what you had to do legally. It may take years for them to understand. But the most important thing is that you spend time with them, you play an active role in their lives, and you do your most important job: being a good dad. Be the man that they need in their life.

      The problem with most of you people reacting here are broken that's why you'all thinking he's not making sense. He doesn't disagree with that but he disagrees for the fact that not every woman , some women yes not all women in General this is his argument and I support him. If you're agreeing with this then what you're saying is all women are the same and if that's the case then what's the point of marriage, you're saying marriage is useless cause every time a woman cheats you have to ditch her, how many are you going to ditch cause forgiving her is useless cause they are all the same they will still cheat even after you forgive them so what's the point being with them when you know if they cheat that's it, don't you think if that's the case it's better to be alone? .. so to think that people can't be truly sorry for their wrongs and can't change says a lot about your emotional health. Healing is important, when we completely heal we leave room for error cause now we know that people aren't perfect and perfection is what harbors unforgiveness and resentment.

      For me it’s knowing that i don’t own my partner. That the rules of dating aren’t biologically or genetically hardwired. And that the mating hardwires can be triggered at any time. So you have to date people who are really intentional about creating and maintaining their integrity. Even attitudes like “nice guys” are extremely dishonest, even if unintentionally. So you have to be real with yourself and with who you’re dating at all times. Even then, someone might cheat. This French model girl i dated several years ago told me how safe I made her feel because i never tailored my answers to her, or acted in an ingratiating way. You wouldn’t think that I made her feel safe because of the disagreements we had, but we argued well and got our points across. But she said she would never find someone like me that she trusted so much. Even the little things like not pretending to not be annoyed by her when she got on my nerves. She’d make complaints, and then I stopped telling her the truth. And i could see the shift in our relationship, and compare, i could see that even though she complained her hardwires were still responding positively to me. But when I became dishonest in how i felt, she started to disconnect. If You cannot be honest with a woman, 100% honest, she’ll check out emotionally and mentally. Even when she complains about things that you self assess as truthful, reasonable and empathetic responses, keep doing it. If she truly doesn’t respect your honesty she wild leave you. And if she’s not seeking sex then you’re not telling the truth enough.

      It's not only against intuition. It's against nature. Simple as that. Men will cheat on women due to physical aspect (hotter girl, lack of sex in relationship etc. but he will not lose respect for his partner/wife).Women will cheat due to emotional reason. She stopped respecting her husband/partner as main provider and career. She will give her body to someone who is better (according to her).
      Check what men or women are being afraid of whenentioning about cheating? Women as men if he loves the other women. Men ask women if she finds other guy more sexy (better body) or bigger wealth. This is simple projection. Women know emotional connection is nail to the coffin (as their reason for cheating is emotional) and can forgive men if it's not emotional cheating. If you will take cheating women back she will lose all the respect to you. Doesn't matter what she will say. Don't believe in what women say but in what they will do.
      And I will repeat myself here, but you should forgive your woman for cheating, as bitterness and rage or desire of revabge will consume you. However you should never forget how you felt because of her.

She is the adorer in this case and the man is the adored. She is chasing him. When a woman cheats, it is the opposite, and that does not work. When a man is scared of his girl cheating again, displays insecure behavior etc. She is going to see him as beneath her in an interpersonal sense. The power dynamic where a woman is above her man means she will not be turned on by her man, not attracted to her man, and be more willing to disrespect that man, not least because she isn’t afraid of losing the relationship any longer.

    When my ex cheated on me she felt no guilt but only regret she got caught. She even said to me she thought it would just run it’s course without me ever knowing. While she was having her fun while giving me a sexless marriage I was working my ass off to provide a home for our family. I do believe she had a lack of respect for me as well of some sense of entitlement to have whatever she wanted on a whim. Perhaps I should have gone outside the marriage to get my needs met? Instead I had a sense of duty and responsibility to my family so my needs came last. I’ve always said it amazes me what grown adults will do to F up their lives.

    I feel like they’re talking about two types of infidelity. Matt is talking about the “accidental” one timers that may border on SA. Someone gets drunk and someone else insists too hard or doesn’t resist hard enough. The next day no one is sure how it happened, only that it did. Shame and regret.
    Sadia is talking about the “affairs” where there is the repeated choice to deceive, over and over. Any sort of “shame” only comes about from the embarrassment of being exposed or ultimately rejected.

    This whole conversation boiled down to the fact that men and women love differently. Women mostly love what her man represents to her as a man. His character, status, his physical standing. She will continually compare him to other men to validate these things. Men love more individually. Men usually see the things they are attracted to about her to set her apart from other women. She's the special one to him.

    The thing is, men value respect above love. Why? Because love is selfish, respect puts others before yourself.
    If you choose your own feelings over the emotions of another, you can love them all you want, but that means that love, or the direction you're focusing it towards, is only temporary.
    If you respect someone, you always value their emotions, their desires, and their trust more than your own fleeting satisfactions.
    If you break trust, if you discard respect, the love has no meaning. Its no different than defining your emotions based on the direction of the wind.

      @SWOTHDRA Месяц назад +1

      Respect and loyalty, I would say. Love is nothing, women say a lot of things but its pretty simply. If she loves you, she wants to have sex with you. If she loves you she would not cheat ever. Love is just a word, it means nothing. Its a feeling and feelings change. To prevent a relationship from falling apart their need to be boundaries, based in logic.

    She explaind it perfectly when she said, that the cheating shows that the relationship doesn't mean the same thing to both partners.
    When you love your partner so that you would never cheat on them, but they cheat on you, then it PROVES that they don't love you the way you love them and never did most likely.

    8:54 Forgiveness and restitution are two different things. This guy is conflating forgiveness with the idea that you should accept anyone's behavior. That is not the case. A man still have to rest on his laurels.

    Ppl are missing the point. Cheating is wrong for both sides,however, the kicker is, how are they wrong, and in what sense?
    Sadiq is right, both genders' wrongs are different. Whether u wanna forgive or not that should be taken into consideration.
    I've known guys who have regular "fun" trips but stays "loyal" in their relationship, meaning still care and love their spouse and kids (if they have) the same. Treats them the same as if nothing happened.
    Can't say the same for the other way around though. I thk probably due to females are usually more emotionally involved.

    • @SWOTHDRA
      @SWOTHDRA Месяц назад

      Exactly this, men and women are not the same. We can "cheat" and still love our wifes. Women can only be loyal to one man at a time. So if she aint sleepong with you in a marriage, she is sleeping with somebody else.

    i think she is right, especially with the masculinity part. Media tries to portrai a new way of masculinity which, in my eyes, is actually weak with no backbone and women like the idea of that but dont respond well to it though. sure forgiveness goes a long way but as soon as you, as a man, disrespect yourself in front of a woman your not masculine anymore. might as well change your gender (pun intended)

    It’s not brave…it’s foolish to forgive and try to continue a marriage. If someone cheats they have lost respect for you….they don’t see you as valuable and an equal. They see you as beneath them and not worthy. If they reconcile there is no trust and cannot be ever. Even years down the line there will always be some degree of angst when the cheater doesn’t answer the phone, goes on a trip….or isn’t in a normal mood. There will be questions in the back of their mind….

    Remember men you can’t give someone something they can’t give themselves respect, loyalty, love, it’s our job to vet these women see take them on dates with and without money, there true colors for you come out quickly, and it’s your job to inform them about some boundaries others you don’t speak of and when they cross those just politely let them know you are no longer interested

    Matt completely dismissed that one crucial element every human must have: ACCOUNTABILITY.
    Around the 7:23 mark when he speaks about honour, if there is any feeling of being honourable left, the woman needs to make a peaceful split happen and help make the transition to both their new lives without each other as smooth as possible. That's the honourable thing to do. What Matt suggested is endorsing selfish behaviour.
    Also, forgiving a cheater is just going to fester resentment inside the heart of the person cheated on which is unhealthy. You cannot just invalidate and wish away the feeling of resentment. Matt needs to be less idealistic and be more realistic about how the human mind works. This is what Sadia who is a psychologist understand and Matt who is not, don't understand. So obviously this makes the couple staying together to be a bad idea. If the cheater truly "love" her partner which is already hard to believe at this point, she would work together with him to find a way for them both to move on peacefully without each other.
    I would only slightly disagree with Sadia, I believe it is equally as bad for men to cheat although she did say there's not much hope of coming back if the men cheats. Men should 100% be equally as accountable for their actions just like women are expected to. And as for Matt, he is good when it comes to courtship advice. Relationship maintenance is a whole different ball game than courtship.

      I 100 percent agree with you. forgiving and forgetting are two different things. as humans we never forget anything that caused us trauma and pain it’s that simple. we try to deal with it and move on but it’s impossible when we continue to see the source of that trauma or pain.
