I finally got a chance to make it using the 3d printer and it works awesome. Some blades like my swiss army champ are easier to read than others and project a very nice dot. Other blades project more of a distorted arc but the angle is still predictable. Thanks Felix - you are truly the macgyver of bushcraft!
distorted dots mean that the edge is not flat but convex -- as a result of poor angle control or using a belt sander. that is the beauty of this tool, you get the quantitative number and the quality of the edge

Happy Friday Maestro Felix. Thank you for another interesting video. Hi Felix, first of all thank you for the nice video. I purchased the 3D model but I seem to have problems scaling it to the real size. Can you please tell us what units are the STLs made in and what is the appropriate scaling factor? Thank you!
I guess where you bought this model, there ich a email for questions... i have no idea about 3d sorry!
Hi@@FelixImmler , thank you for the suggestion. I contacted the creator and I got all the needed details. Thank you again!

@@ddfeder In short, a scale factor of 10 solved the problem for me.
