Сhicago needs Centers and defensemen, especially right defensemen. But Demidov is okay at least.
Ducks LOADED by left defensmen. They will pick Levshunov and they dont like to draft Russians from Russia.
Jackets needs center to help Fantilli and they need center HARD. They will pick Lindstrom. They dont need right defenseman. They already have Jiricek and Caulemans.
Montreal need ceter so yeah, if Lindstrom will be available - he will be not - they will pick Lindstrom.
Buium to Utah is okay.
Ottawa need right defenseman. Catton is still okay pick but they need to be much better in d zone, especially on the right side.
Seattle is okay to draft Dickinson but more realistically they will not see him available.
Iginla to Calgary is okay. ish.
Devils and Esierman? Seriously? They already have Holtz - one way scoring shooter. They are 12th in scoring after all this injuries this year. And they have zero depth on center position.
Buffalo? Helenius? Did you heard about their previous picks? They will draft right defenseman if there will be available RD.
Cmon. You can and should do much better.

Chicago needs a veteran center.. not just another prospect. Just like we need a veteran defenseman 1.. not prospects. We have a bunch of prospects and rookies. We have no wingers bud. We have 4 top 3 d prospects and 3 top 4 prospects . 2 could be number 2s.. we have literally no wing prospects .. seemed to have overlooked that we have bedard moore nazar green ludwinski all signed center

@@grayramsey7035 Yes, a stud d-man will surely fill our organizational need. I read that Eiserman doesn't seem like a Grier type of pick. However, it's fun to imagine Eiserman playing on a line with our upcoming playmakers from the system. Get someone with elite shooting skills to take advantage of space that guys like Celebrini or Smith can make.
Silayev is a lefty. Duck’s GM said it will be a righty
Silayev played mostly on the right side in the KHL this year. Besides… Ducks probably go forward at #3 anyhow.

I would be calling Columbus, Montreal, Utah, Ottawa.... Buium and or Parekh should be at those positions.... swap for their present #1 pick and add their 2026 #1 for the price of swapping.
Really solid mock I like your take on Detroit that Connelly Kid is special for sure but I think knowing better Yzerman's favorite profiles it Will be Brandsegg-Nygard to me and honestly I would be Really pleased with that pick up
Connelly does not fit the Yzerman metric at all and will be scrutinized in the combine interview probably interviewed by Draper to see how Trevor answers the hardest questions thrown at him as he has character and immaturity issues galore. Not a great defensive forward, not physical at all shying away from the tough areas to gain control of the puck, takes bad penalties too.
Now if he turns into Matthew Tkachuk then yeah okay we have something to aim at and totally a swing for the fences pick.
Otherwise the Detroit pick screams Brandsegg-Nygard or Greentree.
Zeev Buium just takes control when he's out there. I watched him play at the NCHC frozen 4 and he was just so impressive. I could see he sneaking his way up the order.
As a habs fan I would pick Cole Eiserman over Cayden Lindstrom but any of them would be good. Even Iginla would be good

The Devils picking Eiseman at 10 makes no sense, after the failure of Holz why would they pick another player with a good shot and no defence or compete ?
tough spot for Flyers in your draft. They probably would prefer a forward, preferably a center, but don't see them passing on both Parekh and Yakemchuk in your scenario, unless they really like Sennecke.

It's not anywhere near last yrs draft class (talking about Top 50 or 60) but all in all - it's a pretty good draft class.

I saw him play in the final game of the U20 Worlds last week. He was amazing to watch.. Right up, that is, until his head shot body check. He doesn't need to do that. He's a great player in his own right. Unfortunately this cost his team bigly. He must be feeling that. We all make mistakes in life. Hopefully he can learn from that mistake because, as someone who has had multiple concussions playing hockey, it's not something I'd wish on anyone. Trevor needs to control is on-ice emotions. It's tough, I know. But, to be the best he can be, he needs to do it. The whole US team has me worried a bit. They have some amazing players. And although I was rooting for Canada, I did feel very sorry for them when they lost. Because right up until Trevor's hit and expulsion, I thought they were the better team.
I wouldn’t surprise if chicago goes for size like lindstrom or a big D because they are so small already.
The Blackhawks can add the necessary size element with their No. 22 and No. 34 picks. At No. 2, talent wins out over size considerations and Ivan Demidov fills a major need - someone who can actually score goals. As mentioned above, the combination of Connor Bedard with Demidov makes him an obvious choice. If I am wrong, Artyem Levshunov would fill a need for a top line defenseman.
I keep going Demidov in my mock drafts, but Levshunov is always a very close second choice.

Agree. It's either-or with choosing one of these two Russians at pick No. 2. KD's decision will hinge on: 1. Who has the highest ceiling? 2. Will there be any difficulty in getting Demidov to leave Russia for the NHL? 3. Whether to emphasize defense or offense in adding to the current draft pool. Frankly, the current prospect pool is much heavier on defense than offense, which is why I would take Demidov over Lefshunov.
Chicago more than likely goes Demidov at 2 but who do they take at 20?

(No seriously, even if they are still in very early phase of that rebuild, i think they'll land a D with that second pick, one with size, and oomph even more so than pure size, and a strong defensive proficiency to his game to complement guys like Cagnoni & Havelid, that's what they are missing the most so ... an Adam Jiricek maybe ?)

I disagree about being set at center, but I do like the other guys you mentioned aside from Connelly.
Flyers gonna trade up for Dickinson or demidov or use panthers pick let’s say 26 and 36 , plus 25 2nd for 11

He would really fit well in Utah with their past success from Yandle, Chychrun, OEL, Etc.

Chicago would be stupid to pass on Levshunov but if they do, Anaheim gladly take a RHD. CBJ will take either Demidov or Lindstrom. Iginla goes to Habs. He's a "fit" as a player and a person. Only Verbeek can upset the applecart. He could take Iginla if Levshunov is gone

As a part-time Leafs fan ("part-time" because I also like other teams like the Panthers) I would love to see Toronto get Carter George. Like the ocean needs water, Toronto needs goaltenders. The U20 IIHF final game proved what a great goaltending force he could be for Toronto. In a word: spectacular! Speaking of the same game, let's talk about Trevor Connelly. He might be a great player, but I'm not sure if any team will want to hire someone who takes forceful headshots at their opponents, especially one that cost the USA a gold medal. He needs to calm down his on-ice emotions. In this new world of concussion awareness, teams are no longer looking for enforcers. Sure, stick up for your own team members, but what he did in that game is inexcusable.

PS ... I'm scared looking at the US team though ... they were awesome (if it just hadn't been for Connelly's hit, USA should have won and they deserved it). I know USA and Canada are arch-enemies on the ice. For me the arch-rivalry is more against Russia I think than each other. We are more or less the same ... we like the same culture and we think the same on other issues. Russia does not. So if it's Russia vs USA, go USA go! (However, if you're playing Canada, I'll always support Canada; but there will always be respect to the US squad. They're great players, even Connelly (although, as I said, he needs better control of his on-ice emotions).

Are the experts outsmarting themselves with Eiserman? I mean, he's seventeen. Are we to believe that he'll never improve his defensive abilities? He's the best at the most important skill you can have. He's got decent size and adequate skating ability. I don't get it.
He did mention recently he didn't want to change for anyone. That could be interpreted in many different ways. I'm sure the GM that'll end up picking him will have addressed that with him in his interview though.
The fact that he’s a cherry picker exaggerates his offensive production and makes him a liability defensively.
the habs need to trade the jets pick and some assets so they can move up an take sennecke. if they can leave the first round with lindstrom and senneke habs top 6 for the future is SET

Blues definitely wont pick Greentree or a winger if Jiricek is available. If there's no good D-men available and they "have" to pick forward, I think they're going with Bransegg-Nygård.
Helenius will be the best player in this draft, just watch.

The top 13 is about the same thing for everyone but everyone has different list which tells the equality of the prospects from 4 to 13. I think Celebrini, Demidov & Levshunov are locked top 3. Then probably Lindstrom is top 5 for sure but outside that, you have different type of prospect but with the same kind of talent. For exemple: Silayev is a giant D, Dickinson big good 2way already, Buium great skater with great offensive and good defensive, Parekh with some crazy offensive upside but risky on the defensive part. Even 14, 15 and 16 are the same player that I have. I've seen Brandseg-Nygard, Hage, Jiricek 15-16 but it can be anyone from that ''next range of prospect''. I really wonder who is going to be the 1st ultimate reach. Like a player ranked 35th going 17 or something like that. Might not happen but there's multiple tier of prospect with a lot of equality this year which doesn't sound that way every year.
Yeah lots of play after Celebrini...could go any which way after him. Demidov or Levshunov at 2? Lindstrom 3 or 4 or 5? Where does Silayev go? Some saying Iginla at 6? Gonna be a wild ride at the NHL Draft this year!

Ducks need more offense but if they do take defense it better be Levshinov or Dickinson. Silayev is large and a great defender but his offense prowess is extremely meh. Levshinov or Dickinson will both be great on the power play as well while Silayev again very meh. Hopefully Verbeek can quit obsessing over height.
Dickinson wouldn't be a PP QB in Anaheim with Mintyukov and Zellweger in the fold

@@James_Ford4815 No he wouldn't bc he's not nearly as creative as Minty and Zelly, those two possess elite skill and offensive instincts unlike Dickinson. Plus there's already a huge logjam on the left side of Anaheim's blue line, LaCombe and Fowler are there too

Iginla is not a bad pick if the Habs are interested in him and he comes from good bloodlines that knows what it takes to play under the pressures of playing in a Canadian market. No matter the name, Habs definitely need to draft a forward at #5.
Sabres have 3 1st round centers in the minors next season. They'll take Yakemchuk or Parekh or whichever dman is still there. Their dmen prospect depth is weak.
If Buffalo makes the pick, I'll vomit. We need to TRADE this pick and a prospect for NHL talent right now.

That chart is for draft year PPG in the NCAA. Lane Hutson played with the U18 NTDP program during his draft year.
in no way shape or form is or will silayev and levshunov be better than zeev buium and greentree literaly showed how average he is this u18 wc so how is he at 16 when players like brandsegg nygaard, leo sahlin wallenius and especially cole hutson are tremendously better and hutson should be top 10 no question about it.

I don't think blackhawks would take Demidov because they would have to wait a year for him to come over.
Levshunov and Lindstrom shouldn't be in the nhl next season either. Waiting a year isn't much of a factor in deciding the pick
Very logical. Someone always reaches . Just worry the Russians will be held Hostage. Demetov looks good with only one year left. Just worry he will reup. Personally I think the 6,7 Russian is a project who will just be defensive minded.
Ducks taking Silayev 😭 silayev is not good
Their draft tendency leans towards more skill with their defensemen with earlier picks. They normally draft later for defense only guys. Noah Warren was someone that they picked earlier than normal.
