Held his own against a guy that’s definitely out of his weight class, not a bad fight. Bush league move from Deslaurier to keep throwing with Greer pinned on the board and with the refs having already stepped in, but what else can you expect out of a guy that’s awful at everything but fighting.
Greer got a little beat up towards the end thanks to some classless hits while he was bent over the bench, but actually wound up making deslauriers look a little disheveled. This was 100% not a fight that he should have taken but did better than one could have anticipated.

Edge to Deslauriers, but Greer held his own. Nic is a heavyweight, and Greer isn't. Boston doesn't have a heavyweight this year, as Nick Wolf is down in Providence. It's weird seeing the Bruins not have a true heavyweight because they have always had one. Frederick can fight, as can Forbert and Foligno, but they wouldn't be able to match anyone with guys like Reaves, Lucic, or Curtis MacDermid without a call up.
Forbort almost never fights and we have Hathaway. Maybe not a true heavyweight but the dude can scrap. So can Cliffy for that matter. Frederic as well like you said. I don't think most people know who Nick Wolff is.
Won't matter as much in the playoffs - but Foligno (if he comes back), Greer, Frederic, Hathaway, and sometimes Clifton.......we can hold our own better than in years past.
Typical Philly move to keep throwing after the linesmen step in. Greer is a boss for standing toe to toe with one of the least talented players in the league.
Cam Neely, Milan Lucic, Terry O'Reilly, Lyndon Byers, and Jay Miller never did that. Oh, wait... they did. ' Greer has always been a bit of a pest, and Deslauriers made him pay the price.
Yet another example of the anachronism that is Tortorella. Sending out goon’s for another meaningless game in a meaningless season. Coaching in the wrong decade.

This has nothing to do with this game, Greer ran both flyers goaltenders and boarded deangelo in their last meeting he deserved every punch
@@Giventothegrave 😭😭😭😭😭
That’s all that philly plug can do
which is a helluva lot more than that pussy spot picker Greer
Two awesome uniforms

Would you say the same about Shawn Thornton? Deslauriers is certainly a better skater and had a better snap shot than he did.
he's in the NHL....you're in the kitchen at mcdonalds......lol
twit

A 185 lb heavyweight this is definitely the new nhl
Looks like Philly is still drowning….hahahahaha
Fights are fake now with the visors on

yeah because Greer is always confused with Leon Draisatl

Yeah, in the back of the head nonetheless, that can easily paralyze someone

Way to go A J.
Gotta love a sport that lets the players duke it out for awhile in between play haha
This goes back..I forget the incident though
That fight was the only thing the Flyers won today...
This year
Respect Greer for standing up to Deslauriers but that was a mismatch.
If you're going to drop the gloves and fight, why don't they drop the helmets to?
Love Greer for throwing even if he gets goaded into fights at dumb times like this now and then.
The flyers don’t have a great 4th liner. Deslauriers got 12 points. But he sure can fight
Calling Deslaurier a Heavyweight says everything anyone needs to know about the current play in the NHL.
.... And calling Reaves the Champ, Pffft.
I love Greer (not like that)
Decent tilt. Refs preventing guys from defending themselves. Nothing new.
Win Nic D, the refs saved Greers life at the end !!! Love it.
Not too bright are ya?
Take fighting out of the league and Deslauriers is working at a carwash. Greer held his own against a heavyweight. Well done A.J.
