i actually really like the chairs with the table and the gold frames behind it!!! everything melts into one big, cozy and luxurious vibe!
And if she still wanted the turquoise vibe she could add like a small throw on in of the chairs or a pillow or something
The outdoor sofa definitely needs to rotate to maximise the space, i feel like its closing it off
FOR SURE!!! I was literally just thinking the same thing - one side of the sofa needs to be against the window so you can look OUT at the view rather than straight at the window

Also to anyone watching feeling sad about how beautiful the flat is, it’s normal to have second hand furniture and buy the cheapest items from Amazon in your first flat - this is exceptional to have such a beaut space at 20 xxx

Chairs would look a lot better in brown to go with the stand of the table
i think because your table is round, the chairs should be a bit more rounded too. also if they were the same wood colour as the table it would look *mwah* chefs kiss :)
she could even possibly find the correct shade of paint and paint them
I feel like a nice plant in that corner could really add some warmth to the space!
in that corner under the frames you don't necessarily need anything but a nice little (maybe black wood) wine rack that could hold a couple of bottles and look quite fancy would look nice. the rest looks AMAZING!!!

you should put dried/ fake cherry blossom in the vase! it will add to and compliment the oriental look 🥰
You should put a bar cart under your picture frames in the kitchen! You can display your beautiful cocktail glasses, some nice bottles/decanters, maybe a candle or coffee table book, it would look so nice and fill up the space well

With the chairs i feel like if you're already not sure about them then they are not the ones. Find some that you are so in love with!

Yeaaa I’d definitely hang something to hide the red wall, the sheer thing with fairy lights could be good or something like that I love that idea and the tree actually maybe a cherry blossom

I loooove the style and vibe you’re going for but I can’t stand the layout of the balcony 😭 it makes it look so small and the sofa doesn’t look like it belongs in that position at all! and I don’t think the chairs go with the table 😖
I love the dining chairs don’t get rid of them!!! They tie in so well with the vibe you’re going for, plus you could always add some sage accents / pop a sage cushion or throw over one of the chairs
The chairs are so pretty but i think the space would really come together if you put a rug under the dining table!

Hey girl, I’m sure you didn’t mean harm but wanted to comment so you’re aware! The word oriental is considered problematic as it’s quite an outdated term with association to problematic ideas held in the past. It was used by westerners to connote an exotic other, and also misleadingly groups together so many different countries and cultures. Hope that makes sense and please take this on board!

Hey Flossie, I think the dining chairs suit the table, if you added some cushions that match the wooden accents of the table it might tie the area together! A leafy plant in the corner would be lovely too x
I think you should turn the balcony couch around if it fits! So the longer side is against the red wall and the shorter against the window

baby I moved into my own place just over a year ago and I’m STILL finding little ways I could settle in more or make it feel cozier, etc. I think esp because design is something you enjoy and are creative about, it’ll prob never feel “done” for too long. But it’s important, at least for me, to know what to focus on and when. That might help with the feeling of overwhelm… watching this felt like watching myself from a year ago hahaha. Be gentle with yourself, you’re doing so great
i feel like flossie can't choose what style she wants her apartment to be and thats where she is running into problems with like hating things and things not looking good together

The dining chairs look good, just get a rattan hanging lamp to match them and it’ll tie them in more
I love the dining area! Defs keep the chairs it all links together nicely. I reckon change the outside couch if you can. Have the long part against the windows it doesn’t quiet make sense to sit down and look into the apartment opposed to the view.
It also repeats the direction that the interior couch faces, shaking up the direction furniture faces gives each space it’s own experience :))

Just want to clarify some things in a constructive way: using the term oriental to describe objects/things/people is problematic because it promotes the idea that Asian people are "exotic", this then paves the way for other racially based slurs/stereotypes and frankly it carries baggage that non-Asian individuals cannot fully understand. Please read up on this topic more, you use this word a lot.
yes ^^ obviously its quite a commonly used word, but Orientalism by Edward Said helps clarify the problems associated with the idea of the "Orient".

living for this vlog, i LOVE home videos and everything you got looks amazing!!! Love the idea of a white dressing room! Also, I say go for the sage green dining chairs bc that it would bring a really nice pop of color into the room! Plus (personal opinion) the wood of the chairs kind of clashes with the wood of the table and kitchen cabinets.

you could make those kitchen chairs outdoor chairs around a little table so that you can find new ones you love and these aren't wasted and you don't have to go through effort to return. Also i think you need solid chairs (not woven or patterned) since the table is so beautiful, you don;t want the chairs to take away from it
