After watching years of Dirty Jobs the biggest takeaway from that show was that being a *Camera Operator* is a tough job! Enjoying your content as you take us through your journey!!!
You're actually not supposed to lock the pan of a tripod when leaving the camera. If you lock the pan and someone hits the camera, the entire tripod is more likely to tip over because the whole setup acts like a single solid object, whereas if you leave the pan unlocked and someone hits the camera, that kinetic energy is displaced into the pan and the camera will simply rotate instead of the tripod getting tipped over.
Absolutely loved the knowledge and experiences shared Kofi. I never heard of some of those terms. Are those adopted as industry standards? Or perhaps tribal knowledge for that specific crew? Such as the Apple box orientation, and camera “speeding”?
As someone new to your industry. I have watched many of your videos in the last month as I been setup my rig. I believe that in the next few years theirs going to be a new explosion in the industry. With you tube and pod casts the general public will be investing in equipment that will go from an action cam to a hybrid still/video camera to video(ng) cinema (ng) film cameras. like i just did with the Blackmagic 6k full frame @$1549 and 24-70mm sigma lens $899 (the older model on sale/newer model was not out). My point is what no one is talking about. One of the reasons that Nikon bought Red.is they will be going after this new market segment. The general public wants good if not great quality video in addition to still images. I see that younger people developing into the film industry. This maybe even be unintended. We all go thru our stages of life and we want to show this our personal history to our families and friends and to recall this in full 4k on our large tv's when we can no longer do these activities at the same level we did when we where younger.

It’s not much, but it’s honest work 😅
Nicely done dude! Still trying to land myself an Alexa job after 20+ years shooting haha. U the man
Haah I was lucky 😂
The intro of your BTS looks better than final works of 90% filmmaking youtubers.
Ahah I try!
Crazy, that camera is NOT locked off (pan) in the beginning, leaning all on it lol. Dont lean on the equipment kids !
Could of been over before it started
@@KofiYeboah lol.

They’re industry terms BUT depending on your region they change too 😅
