One thing about Paul naschy movies is that he always kept his movies full of attractive women, not that other horror films don’t, but the actresses he used were always particularly appealing and in a very adult way, and he generally kept them prominently in the action, not just as femme nubile or the weak fiancé who needed protection. They usually ended up directly in battle with or assisting the monster protagonist/ antagonist.

It's always great to see the lovely Betsabe Ruiz and in a substantial role for a change, I think it's the biggest one I've seen her in usually she's a bit player getting bumped off early but she's quite a fine actress too as her maid scene in the second Blind Dead film shows, clearly she should've had bigger parts (no pun intended) in her career. incidentally, fun to see her bedfellow Govenor from that film appear with her in this film as well.

Dracula...Mr. Hyde...Hannibal Lecter...Darth Vader...The Terminator...and , yeah, this voice-dubbed numbnuts warlock too, I guess. For as long as I can remember, I have always rooted for the bad guys to win. That's because bad guys or evildoers or villains usually get to dress in all black & masks & capes. Plus they get to SKULK. Or to phrase it another way---bad guys get to be COOL. Whereas the damned do-gooders are always running & leaping & sometimes even flying around in white pants or red tights and always look fresh from the gym. I think that's why I generally identify with the bad guys: I'm not the least bit athletic, I'm usually overweight, and I can't wear light-colored clothing because--well--I'm a sloppy eater.
But here's the up side: I can skulk with the best/worst of them. In fact, I'm convinced that I can skulk every bit as well as the baddest of badass skulking motherfuckers. I know I can.
