I played this a couple months ago on my ps2 for about 15 minutes, never touched it again. This game was forgettable af but i shouldnt expect too much from an early ps2 game
Game was utter garbage. Remember asking my dad to get me this at a Target store since it was on sale for 20 dollars and bought it thinking it was a racing game. The introduction even implies it. Only to realize it's those "collect all the coins in the map and proceed again". Car physics were weird too like a go kart. Who gives a "free mode" yet gives a time limit.
I remember being SUPER disappointed because the game actually wasn't about the TV show Topgear... I never got past Rome because the game was so damn boring
Tbh, the intro hyped me so much. But after starting the game i was disappointed back then. Midtown Madness, Midnight Club and even driver 1 on ps1 had a better free roam mode that this. And it even had the opportunity for it... It was also so slow. Sigh.

I give this game a 10/10 on the realism scale.
Driver 1 on ps1 was more realistic.... The driving felt shallow, crashed cars fly arround..... It's not realistic at all.

The Top Gear series had so much potential, but after TG3000 everything was just a big letdown...
top gear rally on gba is one of the best racing games on the system though
Unfortunately this is still better than alot of the crap budget titles that came out on the PS2 between 2006-2010.🤦

My sister and I would go on free roam and just drive normally. Following the road / traffic lights. No idea why but was a blast at the time.

Try italien job on ps1. Was better in every way and even had a free roaming mode, without a timer btw.

A silly game. The really bad thing in this game is to have the Top Gear name on it. I wasn't believing, but indeed Kemco approved this.
