I would like to see you guys bridge into some Emo music people assume that means sad and emotional but it doesn’t. Sometimes it hits a certain spot people don’t understand I think she would, you should check out The Used - Taste of Ink. There is a spot of release in metal, emo and rock music in general of being allowed to be angry, crazy and misunderstood that people don’t understand sometimes. The lead singer of this band is an incredible person. I went to a meet n greet of theirs two years ago. My friend Zach who passed away when I was a teenager showed me blue October. And I went to see them on Zach’s birthday & told them about it. They signed a poster, telling him happy birthday. And announced they were bringing the house down in his honor during the show. He stood in front of me and sang “I hope you’re happy”, holding my hand basically the entire performance. Meant the world to me. I felt like Zach was right there beside us. Never felt anything close to that in my life. Justin is amazing.

I Love Justin. I have seen them about 8 times. I've even taken my daughter who at the time was 6 to see them. When he playred Jump rope he pointed to her and said "this is for you little angel" And I have a video on youtube of it. I have done meet and greets and i even saw him eating dinner before a show in VA And he told my wife to come in and take pics with them. Truly Awesome person!

You can tell the love between you both. It's such a rare thing these days. My wife has had to sacrifice somethings she would be doing if I didn't suffer from mental illness. God Bless you both.

I absolutely love that it brought out that emotion in Jai so quickly, I cry every time I hear it and I’m a 56 year old guy with 2 grown kiddos. Justin has been through some dark dark times, like I have, like a lot of us in the Blue October family have. I listened to this song 100’s of times when I went through my divorce, I know it by heart and it’s my favorite song by Blue October. I’ve seen them perform it 3 times live as a band and I saw Justin perform it on his solo tour, it’s absolutely incredible 🥰 (I’m crying now 😏)
I have severe ptsd and anxiety from serving in 2 wars. There are a few songs out there that have let me live a happy and beautiful life. It took a long time for me to understand exactly what Justin is singing about. It's wonderful how bright and beautiful life is. I hope you get past it and can thrive!!!

I feel very similarly to you when in comes to anxiety, when I hear this song I feel better, but the fear always seems to creep back in, and we have to constantly renew our strength to overcome.
Jai, he overcomes the fear every day still. He talks about this in many interviews. Pay attention to the words.
This man has gotten me through so many hard times in my life. Ex wife,kids and everything else life has to throw at you.
Seeing him on the open book tour was a deeply moving experience. Won VIP tickets. Got to meet him, get a poster signed and and right before his manager was about to take a picture I said "weird how we've got are arms around each other like we're old friends" he said "awww we can be friends!" and gave me a full on hug so I matched it and ended up with a great picture and memory. Fear may be my favorite Blue October song as well, great choice for a reaction video. Love you guys!

My fav band of all time. So underappreciated or known.....best lyrics and performances and no one, no one, connects with the audience like Justin. I grew up maybe 10miles from him in Alief, TX back in the 80's but never heard of him then...and apparently he was pretty big locally. Was introduced to him 5 years ago by a friend and now I travel to see them as much as I can.

I also deal with anxiety but thankfully the meds have kicked in. Prescribed Xanax mainly for long drives, don’t even need to take it anymore. I pray you get to the same point
I truly love you guys.. this one got to me cause my daughter suffers from anxiety and it breaks her down hard sometimes.. it’s easy for someone that doesn’t have it to just brush it aside but for someone that truly suffers.. it is earth shattering.

I’m just seeing this reaction video but this made my day. Blue October is my favorite band and Justin has many songs that spoke to my life, but this song “Fear” in particular helped me tremendously overcome everything he addresses in their music: depression, addiction, rejection, social anxiety from lifelong subjection to abuse. I give all praise to the Most High God in Christ Jesus, but thank you for this, I cried with you sister Jai. And brother Half, God bless you for holding down your queen and family.

I love Blue October and Justin because the music is written from a genuine heart.
I listen to this every morning and anytime during the day that I need it. It gets me through my day and helps me to understand that my mental health is something that only I can do anything about. Outside triggers are out of my control. I take it a day at a time. Music is always a great escape and really helps.
I love you guys- your reactions are always real and honest. I love the vulnerability and love that you both show with one another. It's a beautiful thing! I'm not sure if you caught it, but at the end of the song, in the quiet part, he does essentially tell you to pray to get through things. He sings,

Justin wasn't always a real believer but had a life-changing moment in rehab that helped him find God and himself all at once. He tells about it in his Open-Book Tour, and it gives me chills every time. I cry almost every time I hear this passionate acoustic performance because I know his story (and mine) and I'm so damn proud of him (and me- and now you too, Jai) for persevering! Remember- We have survived ALL of our hardest days so far!
I love your channel. Your reactions are so real. And I completely understand about your struggle with anxiety. It's so hard trying to get through those fears. I have such horrible social anxiety that its a struggle to just go to the store. But having someone by your side that supports you is great to have.

Being a woman who was recently in a domestic violence relationship for many years, this song gave me the strength to get out and it became my first and last song on my playlist almost every time I worked out and went jogging.

WOW! I had never heard that song before watching this reaction video and I am so glad I got to watch it with Jai! I wish I could hug her, I battle with anxiety and I also battle with depression(MDD) I hate it, I hate that I can't control it or make it go away. I hate that it can affect the people that I love... like Jai said to know that your issues are/or may cause the people that you love most from being able to live their life the way they want to live it and to be able to do the things they enjoy doing without them having to question what they can or can't do because they are concerned about your anxiety. It doesn't matter how many times we are told it's okay to not be okay all of the time or that they'll always love us just the way we are (hard to believe when we sometimes feel like we don't love ourselves so HOW can someone else truly love us) and we do exactly what Jai started to do.... questioning if we should be in a relationship because we feel like our problems will become their problems and when you love someone you never want to feel like you are causing them to miss out on things in life that they enjoy doing because of how it will affect you. Are we holding the person we love the most back from being the best that they can be and that causes us to have anxiety about our relationship....will they one day get tired of altering their life to appease us? I am and will be praying for Jai to overcome her anxiety! Much love and respect for you both! Your videos have been so helpful for me in times of depression, y'all never fail to put me in a better mood and to give me a good laugh session. Justin, that singer has suffered from severe depression and anxiety his whole life and eventually went to rehab where he eventually reforms God and learned how to love himself and his family.
I truly feel this man says God use me as a vessel to share whatever part of my pain and passion you need to reach your children with your message of hope and faith.. and when you hear it it rocks
