The way the air ripples around the beams, I would expect it to do more damage to the environment. Maybe you could find physics objects near the beam and apply some force to them, like they're being pushed by the air currents this thing is producing?
I like that idea. Especially if it's a bit lighter, just nudging things. If you make it too powerful it just ends up looking like he hit those objects.
they look cool, it adds variety with all their different units, and there's no reason not to use them that's what i think anyways, idk exactly why the developer has chosen to use them

for the gatling anims you could have used and modified the gantling gun anims from hl2:survivor the japanese arcade version of hl2, which had gatling anims for the playermodels

No way. That would go against the name of the suppressor. His whole job is to supress you and keep you in cover.
