I ve had the 3008 as an interim solution for about half a year - and was almost crying when I had to return it. Such a fine car! Such a beautiful car! And so good to drive. Well... in MOST situations. Had the 130 PS 1,2l Petrol. A realy nice engine, and what I would never have expected: Absolutely suficcient even on the motorway. Runs easily 180 to 190 km/h without much effort.

I just recently got the 308 SW 120 hp diesel, and my god I have been blind. They make such good cars These days, that an VW seems completely overpriced.
3008 and 508 are the best looking cars in the segment, they are cheep and feels well built ..

We have one of these Peugeots - we love it but have a couple of little issues. The radio is hopeless in staying on channel on FM as we can’t get DAB in our area. Also when breaking and parking the gearbox jumps and you have to be careful you don’t hit the car in front, anyone know why please?

Great video. I have the Peugeot 3008 GT line petrol 1.6 THP 165bhp with the EAT 6 speed automatic gear box and been driving it for nearly 6 months now and it’s an absolute dream to drive and look forward to getting behind the wheel everyday. I can understand why this car got the European car of the year award. It’s the first SUV vehicles that I’ve ever had and also my first ever automatic. It’s nice that they have now upgraded the gearbox but won’t trade it in just for the sake of an extra 2 gears. This is a perfect long term vehicle which is comfortable and full of gadgets which is future ready. Great review 👍

Watched Purley on the 6 Vs 8 gear review. The majority of autos when loaded up jerk a bit up hills. The difference will be less revs in top gear but I suspect the gear ratios are closer together so 6 the in eat 6 will likely be 7 the in eat8

Hi also love the interior/exterior of the 3008, question though, there was brief MENTION the PADDLE SHIFTERS in the video implying they made little addition to SPORTS, your thoughts on THE actual PERFORMANCE & EASE OF USE of these, I know many ppl would use just for SPORTS driving and/or TOWING (apparently):
    Paddle Gears:
Q1. Simple as selecting M (Manual in front of Eat8)?
Presumably as many GEARS as the Auto ie, EAT6 or EAT8, right.
    Obviously/of course:
    LEFT PADDLE = GEAR DOWN
    REAR PADDLE = GEAR UP
Q2. GEAR INDICATOR on the iCOCKPIT?
Q3. GEAR UP INDICATOR on the iCOCKPIT ?
This was available on earlier models of the 3008.

Good, informative review, we have just test driven the new auto petrol & I was quite surprised by how smooth it was as I was expecting a bit of jerkiness in change of gears, but I was only going on reviews from the 6 speed version. We have opted for the 1.6 petrol over the 1.2, but I must say even the 1.2 still has a bit of poke to it, so we can't wait till we get our's though we opted for the Allure over the GT Line, but for me personally I just think the Allure offers better value for money, wish I had put it in Sport Mode just to see any noticeable difference.

I think this car is number 1 on my shortlist. Despite diesel being demonised, I need that power and torque to tow a caravan, electric cars are light years away from making good towing vehicles, so goodness knows what is going to happen to the leisure industry when petrol and diesel cars are banned? The 3008 is the most attractive car in its sector and makes other similar vehicles look as dull as dishwater. Well done Peugeot, another customer will be coming your way soon.

Not something I did with 2 weeks of driving a 3008. Plus 4 motion has kept me going in the recent heavy snow. The 3008 is a great car for the money but theres a reason the VAG cars cost more.

Juat gone from a 2017 3008 2ltr BlueHDi GT Line Manual to a 2019 3008 GT, the auto is super smooth and its a proper auto, not a dsg box, on the road the car is exellent, i really dont know why you would waste your money on a VAG group car when this offers so much more, there is a reason the 3008 won car of the year back in 2017 and an improved engine and gearbox line up helps keep it ahead of the rest.

The petrol 1.6 T is much better than the Diesel 2.0 T, it's faster, its in-gear performance and pick-up is better, and as the engine is lighter the car responds better when turning and it's smooth and silky to drive. Its performance is the same as the old 205 1.9GTI a cult classic if ever there was one. It may do less mileage on fuel but the driving experience is just much better. If you get it with the traction control it will also go where no other std two wheel drive will go in the snow and that's saying something for a auto front wheel drive car.

  • @fivish

Its good they stuck with the torque converter and not gone automated manual which is always a bad idea. However, the official MPG is ludicrous as always and 35mpg is more like it.

The lack of all wheel drive.
The passenger seat is a poverty pack manually operated job, even on the top of the line model.

People say this is a great review, I disagree, it was rubbish. In all your videos you constantly show the same clip of the car driving on a road 2 or 3 times over and you do this with 2, 3 or 4 clips, it's so repetitive and boring. You also seem unable to join up words to make a sentence, like...a......child,.......you .....say......one.......word......at....a.....time. Then we get a big, grown up ......sentence.... of......5 .....words. Get a new presenter NOW.
