My 2010 is doing this right now. These videos save people a ton of headache and money. Thanks! Update: I ordered the door latch assembly. I noticed another issue though. I can open/close the door with the window all the way up. I looked and it's not going completely up into the seal like the passenger side is. It is sealing the glass (no water/wind getting in) but it isn't completely up. Trying to find now if there is a mechanical adjustment to move the window glass up that 1/8' to 1/4" so it's fully up in the seal.

Thank you very much. After getting a brand new battery, I did the 10 up and 10 down in 2 sets and it worked! You actually "train" the sensor. Thank goodness as I watched the replacement operation and it totally lost me. Major headache solved, thanks!!
Great vid. Window reset was a perfect fix for my 2012 that was not lowering and raising the window when I opened and closed the door.

Thanks, just fixed my window. It would only go part way down and wouldn't cycle at the top at all. Works perfectly again!

when my 2013 first started doing it I left the window just down far enough and it kept my battery good. It started working normal again about a week later then a few months later it does it again but now it will still drain the battery if i lower the window and the cycles are more frequent.

Just a warning, I had Fowler Dodge in Oklahoma City replace the latch and it cost over 800 bucks, folks. If you can avoid a dealer doing it for you, I suggest finding a shop other than Dodge or do it yourself.

Replaced door latch. Fixed window from going up and down constantly. Latch has a switch on it that connects to window circuit. Thanks for video
Where did you order your part from? I see advance auto has it forc$167..is that a lot?
@@kareemgoodwin8118 $50 on eBay. Part is called door lock actuator .can find online prices way cheaper then local stores. Some deliver next day. Some local stores probably have to order it anyway then charge you $150. Also, junkyards are open, if u want even cheaper, probably $15 there. I bought a $500 computer module for $27 in LKQ junkyard.

I don't have a challenger yet, but I noticed this happen on one of the Fast and Furious movies, Fast and Furious 7, at exactly 58:43 when Letty comes out and closes the door, window automatically goes up, after they go back in the window goes up again.
Bro did you need to change the brake to put a 22 " wheel in your dodge challenger 2011se.

OK. So I'm not tripping. One day I went start up my 2017 and I noticed that both of my windows were rolled down about a half inch and I'm certain I did not do that. I've been watching very closely to see if it happens again.

How difficult Is it to swap the latch out?
When I look up door latch assembly on Identifix, it shows the door handle. Is it the door handle or the latch that causes this? Great video btw. The relearn didn't work for me.

I have the same issue. In San Antonio, Tx it's $149 from autozone. Since this is my first attempt on working in the door any advice?

Mine is doing this and I replaced the part and it’s still doing it. Could there be a relay or something?
After further investigation you do not have to remove the whole latch just remove the cylinoid that's connected to the 1st connection change that piece out hence fixed no reason to change the whole latch you can take the new latch celluloid and put it on the old latch replacing the existing celluloid which causes the problem

@@sinclairparker2632 nope not yet. at the moment i has the window motors taken out bcs the windows kept moving when the car was off. the guys at the dodge dealership said i need new door modules. expensive, hence why i haven’t done it yet. i’m gna get a second opinion though cus they could be lying

There is a Tech service bulletin on the problem that covers 2010, 11, and some 12s, even though they know all year Challengers are affected. It should be a recall actually, but Dodge is avoiding it and there haven't been enough complaints to make it happen.

Hey guys, can you please put a NHTSA complaint, it takes 10 minutes and we can get them to recall this ok the 2013 model.
I think my door latch is bad...damnit. Well...I technically found a fix anyone can do if they can't get it repaired right away. I won't be able to fix it until this weekend.
Turn the car on accessory mode and hold the window button down for 30 seconds. Then hold the button up for 30 seconds after it's all the way up. In other words, don't count the time it takes to close the window. Now, this can cause the window to roll past where your door can close, so close the door gently. If the window is hanging to far up roll it down. Then roll your window up like normal and you will notice something rather odd happen. The window will no longer try to roll itself up again. Unfortunately, this leaves a very small gap between the window and door so it won't close all the way. If you need to go anywhere you can do this trick as much as you want. Oh...and buy a car cover so you can keep the rain out.

Replace the door latch I did it in less than 30 minutes bought it on Ebay for 120$ dealer was gonna charge me 600$

The issue is the small white sensor..Cheap part..2 screws..comes off and put on the new piece..NOT the whole module..cost for part is way cheaper then the whole module..Mine is now fixed..with the part swap..
