It's stated in one of the authors side notes that Bakugo gives people mean nicknames as a way to insult them if he doesn't like them. But if it's just someone he can't be bothered remembering the name of, they're nickname is based off of one of their physical features, namely in the facial area

To all the people saying that this ship is never happening: Yes, we are completely aware of that. The purpose of shipping is to imagine two characters in a relationship based on their interactions and personalities (sometimes even the aesthetics).

Ochako seems soft and cuddly, but is actually tough as nails. Bakugo seems arrogant and in control, but is actually an emotional wreck. What can I say? I love the way everybody in this show is the foil to someone else, and these two are such interesting inversions of each other. Even if they never get together, I cannot wait to see more interaction between the two.
Tin Watchman He actually does have emotional problems. If you read the manga (which I won't spoil it here), he's shown to actually fear Midoriya and that every time Deku does something great, it makes him feel insignificant and weak. Despite it was him that bullied Deku, he actually felt jealous of Deku's perseverance and was threatened by him. Every time Deku tries to pity him or help him, he rejects it because he can't accept being weak. In his mind, he felt belittled by Deku and while Deku was the one who got bullied, Kacchan felt bullied himself. Much like Deku but in a lesser case, he suffered confidence problems when he faces Deku. It's pretty interesting in terms of characterization.
Another reason on why people ship this is because remember when Ochako threw her jacket to distract Bakugou? Yeah well at the end of the fight it you rewatch it carefully it was still there, however at the end you see Bakugou walking in the direction of the jacket and it was in the next few seconds when they showed the full arena the jacket was gone and so was Bakugou. And when Midoriya went to check on Ochako the burnt jacket was returned to her and there was a new jacket on the table. So this could only mean that Bakugou returned Ochako’s burnt jacket and brought her a new one (or she could have gotten the new one already but the burnt jacket part makes sense)

All these haterssss *sighs* There's actually lots of fanart and fanfictions of this ship so actually quite a lot of people ship them. Also, even if it won't be canon, there's no harm shipping it. It won't endanger other ships. It's all up to the author in the end. I for one think Bakugou can help train Uraraka and make her a stronger person. Uraraka looks up to him for his strength and grit and he becomes her motivation to be stronger. She also understands him well despite not being a teacher or knowing him like Izuku and Kirishima does.

Tododeku kinda makes sense cuz the whole "it's your power" thing but even then it's iffy. And BakuDeku is just...a whole other ball park. Ik in the manga they becomes mutuals or whatever but I just don't see Deku being attracted to the person who harassed him for years, even if they do have a decent relationship now.
The thing I never got about this was the sides of it. I can understand Bakugo being attracted to Ochako. That makes a certain kind of sense, the fight they had at the sports festival caused him to respect her a lot. He remembered her name after that., and he rarely cares that much. I could see him finding her skill and determination attractive. That being said, I don't know what she would see in him. I mean Bakugo developing as a person may help this but in general I can't see what would draw her to him.

I think she was drawn to his power. During the fight he stopped her final attack with a huge blast, shocking her. I believe she is intimidated by bakugou. That intimidation leads to respect for dominance and she is attracted to an alpha male. Cheers

Bakugo was the only one who made Uraraka go all out and try her best and beyond. All of her team mates wanted her to give up and treated her just like any other love intertrest of the protagonist. The main love intertrest is always over protected by everyone and basically does nothing. They are a background character to fawn over the main character. Her fight with Bakugo was the only time where her character felt like her own because he respected her skills. Thats why I ship them and not Deku.
JukeTheMeme I feel like that’s just the narrative of her puppy love for him. What they’re saying is that her and Bakugou would make the most balanced and respectful relationship if it were to happen.. I think with a more matured Bakugou it would be soooooooo dynamic and completely loving.
There’s a little potential because of the 1v1 mainly, but in my opinion, Kirishima has the best chance for Bakugo because they’re “equals” and Horikoshi mentions that Kirishima could be the only one for Bakugo because of the mass damage he deals.

Well personally I’m a huge sucker for the edgy/angsty/bad-boy-falls-for-good/sweet/pure-girl trope. So yes, I do ship these two. I know it’s not gonna happen, but I think them being together could provide a lot of character development for both of them: some of uraraka’s kindness/understanding would rub off on bakugou, and some of bakugou’s aggressiveness/sternness on uraraka. Though at the same time I ship izuku/ochako, but that’s for another time...
Honestly, it probably won't happen or romance won't be developed for a while I think but I can see bakugou and uraraka having a relationship used as an important dynamic for character development between the two characters, maybe it would help uraraka realize how strong her feelings are for deku, etc. Probably not but I can see that happening if it was implemented. Honestly, even though I ship kacchako, I agree, I definitely don’t see him getting together with her unless Kohei decides to pull the Kishimoto Stunt, which Kishimoto created different ships for the Naruto cast, especially Naruto, though knowing he will End up with Hinata for the longest time, to bring attraction to the show, to which, I see happening. (As a lot of people only watched MHA because of the ships they saw Online) Though I could also say the same for Deku, I just don’t see him getting together with anyone, not because he is immature, but because he is too focused on becoming a hero, to the extent that he might just ignore his partner at times. Those ppl haven’t seen his parents lol, his parents also like urarak and bakugo, his mom is like so harsh to him but you can see that she’s all soft when it comes to his dad and his dad is like Uraraka all respectful and silent (not submissive but you get what I mean lol). Same thing would happen if they get together, he’s going to continue being himself but around her he’ll know where he stands and he will respect her and her boundaries.
If Uraraka were involved in developing Bakugou, I believe that Bakugou needs something to push him farther with his character development _before_ getting anything from Uraraka, that way he's sort of on his edge already. And I know this might sound crazy, but I feel like that push would stem from someone basically dying at his hands, accidental or not.. A villain, specifically. He always shouts at everyone to "Die" all the time, but he's never killed anyone and actually seems to avoid hurting them more than necessary(Well, he does go too far sometimes), and I feel like it would make him begin to question himself and how true his motives really are of becoming a hero. _Then_ that's when Uraraka comes in. Being one of the only people to truly understand(besides teachers), She gets asked questions by Bakugou she never would of expected and helps to answer them as best as she could, just barely realizing how much it would help him to change and better himself. He still wouldn't be perfect, but he would be working towards improving.

I thought about this before too; Bakugou is failing to grasp the concept that makes Deku and All-Might more Beloved than others like Endeavor . He focuses on how powerful someone is, not how he can HELP people. Shoot, even Aizawa (if he wanted to be more public) is a fantastic example of a Hero--I think Bakugou needs to get to that point to understand why. (He's also VERY Tsundere-- 'don't protect me' but walks in the middle anyway, I honestly think if Deku had gotten to serious depression levels or was in serious danger he'd actually be super concerned deep down)
Hey, I like Ochako and Midoriya, but I have considered the possibility of Ochako and Bakugo because he was the first to acknowledge and respect her ability and potential. There is an obvious attraction between Deku and Ochako, but if he doesn't show her that he respects her soon, Bakugo could slip into her heart. Ochako already showed an understanding of Bakugo which helped Midoriya concoct a successful rescue plan. I acknowledge the possibility.
Bakugo was the first and the last to respect her because she lost and didn't get paired up with anyone else. And are you assuming Deku doesn't respect Uraraka because he never mentioned it? And Uraraka never helped Deku with the rescue plan, you're assuming that Deku has no knowledge of Bakugo and didn't notice the fact Bakugo hangs out with Kirishima a lot. Now, Kacchan went into the fight assuming he would win, but he didnt take it for granted and took her seriously. Deku tried to be a white knight and explain to her how best to use her own quirk (manspalin, anyone?) and she shut that down, and then used her quirk in a way he hadn't anticipated. I just cant cheer for Deku and Ochako. He doesnt seem to see her as a person. Bakugo, so far, seems to be the one who does.

It is stated several time that Horikoshi is heavily inspired by Spiderman and has shown the similarities at times in the story with Izuku’s personality and Bakugo’s prodigal and inherited arrogance from Peter and Harry respectively. Ochako definitely is MJ and will be shown to have a liking for both Peter and Harry and a different dynamic with both. Obviously its going to Izuocha endgame but there will definitely be a lot of Kacchako moments to give the fans satisfaction. IMO IzuOcha is super boring and Katsuki’s development would only get better if he worked/partnered with Ochako.
I really hope he goes that route, it'd be interesting to see. You're right about the fact that Izuku and Ochako will most likely end up together, and like they're cyte or whatever so I don't mind. It's like he's melting two marshmallows into a big mushy marshmallow. But it'd be such a fresh breath of air if Kacchako ended up together because I feel like they could both balance out each other and make a more interesting dynamic. Johanna Nilsson I think that once Bakugou gets more development, he will become more mature and more calm (not completely tho lol) and he will be more resepectful. Uraraka will probably notice this and have a conversation with him in the future either when they are heroes and they need each other's help or just for the sake of talking. She might see something in him that she had never seen before. Something hidden. This might cause a love triangle between Deku-Uraraka-Bakugo which could be very interesting.
Alexis Plummer let's just leave this kind of love triangles and too much romance stuff in fanfiction. I prefer shounen genre stories like this to be less in the romance side. Pinch of romance is alright.
I personally feel like Midoriya x Uraraka is too cliche, I feel like I've seen it a lot before - the protagonist falls for the first girl he meets and she just happens to be this really great girl with almost no flaws and is also really sweet so he gets to play the hero (look at the second OVA for proof) - so I think that the lovely quirky (pun intended) Tsuyu is a better match for Midoriya as, while they haven't had much screen time together, they are both adorable. As for Bakugo and Uraraka, I like them better as they have a mutual respect for each other and she knows how to deal with him.

If BNHA switches it up and pairs Tsuyu with Izuku and Uraraka with Bakugou, I will have no qualms about it :3 their dynamic works, it just needs development. ShoujoKairi Narusaku was the minority in the Naruto fandom. Ichiruki was the majority in Bleach fandom since they would bash about anyone who didn't acknowledge their ship. Many Izuocha fans will create a shit storm in the west if Deku gets with Tsuyu. I mean , some already convinced themselves to ship Tsuyu with Bakugo to feel relaxed around them.

I don't ship it, but man, this shipping makes sense to me, and I think it could bring lots of character development, specially to Bakugo. Maybe Ochaco would be the person that would help him become better, and when he realize this, maybe some feelings might show up? XD But yeah, my current opinion about kacchaco? It brings both kind of a character development. If Bakugou respects her, he won't abuse her. He can help Ochaco become a better hero by making her challenge herself and she can mellow him out. On the other hand, Bakugo has serious anger issues, so I think a relantioship wouldn't work out at all. I do like the idea of someone influencing another to change their point of view, tough, so I think that Ochaco kinda brings this more respectful side of Bakugou we don't see much. Pretty neutral with this ship. It's still better than IzukuxOchaco, tough. At least kachaco brings a reciprocal development to both. EDIT EDIT 27/02/19: Okay, my opinions have changed, I think Izuku and Ochaco fit much more perfectly with each other and they're a very fitting ship with good chemistry, but, by now, it's being terribly executed sadly. Ochaco was basically reduced to a love interest. I still ship both, Dekuchaco more than Bakuchaco, and I'm rooting more for the former than the later because I think they would get along better due to personalities, but, the way the canon portrays the ship, eeh, kinda irks me out.
The way I see the relationship dynamic working is that Bakugo and Ochako push each other to their limits and make each other better. Bakugo is still fiery and wild but Ochako can handle it and keep up with him cause she's fiery and wild to a point herself. I think that this quality in Ochako and her being able to keep pace with the way Bakugo himself acts while the majority of others cannot is what would peak Bakugo's interest. From what we can see the people that can keep up with Bakugo's personality the best is Kirishima and Bakugo's mom. Bakugo seemingly has no interest in romantic or sexual relationships, choosing to favor his dream of being the #1 hero. It seems like until he can find someone that can keep up with who he is as a person and also who he is as a hero, he's not going to give anyone, same or opposite sex, any thought romantically. This is where Ochako steps in. She's the only girl we see that keeps up with not just who Bakugo is as a hero, but also who he is as a person. And with Bakugo being that tough macho kind of guy, I can completely see him having a really subtly caring side where he can appreciate certain cute things, so when those feelings start to develop, that side of Bakugo is one that pops out every so often. Cause we all know Ochako is cute as fuck. Edit: In addition, we have never seen Ochako work so hard until her fight with Bakugo. So when they were fighting and he said her actual name, he actually acknowledging her strength, and during that time of the fight people were already doubting that she cannot go against him but he didn’t doubt her especially when she almost won by crashing him with whole bunch of rock flying down on him.
I personally favor the Bakugou x Uraraka over the Izuku x Uraraka. When I first saw the show, it was obvious in the beggining Izuku and Uraraka had a connection. But overtime I saw Izuku change, he wants to be a hero more than he wants her, or anyone for that matter. He doesn't display the same thoughts and feelings Uraraka shows. I think at some point, she'll confess and he'll choose career. Now here's why I like the Bakugou x Uraraka. It's not cliche, it has some spark to it, and it has a lot of potential. They respect each other greatly after their fight during the Sports Festival. And I feel like they can start to see something in each other that other people can't. Bakugou could see the vicious determined fighter in her which he admires, and she could see a softer side to him. They could challenge each other, in a way to make themselves better, both trying to be like the other. She could be attracted to his determination, but unlike Izuku, Bakugou could show some attraction in her tenacity. Remember this is just my opinion.
It makes you wonder what the point of the author having her crush on him so soon or vice versa even is..on one hand if they do become a couple thats boring cause it wont occur until much later on which wont make fans happy and you introduced it so early so its just bland as a ship then you got if they don't become a couple you smoked screen some set up and clear feelings they do sorta have but like we say those feelings can change of course as you age and change but like what a waste of a gag that is then it seems like bad writing unless they have a huge falling out date other people...this is why if deku and ochako are going to be a couple they needed ochako to be a tsundere or a mean girl to him a little early on and not crush on him cause it means more when he wins her heart....or vice versa I guess but your not doing that with the hero ...
it's like the same debate back in the years of dragon ball w/ Bulma and Vegeta . Everyone stated that he was aggressive and violent for Bulma but she saw him differently. As much as Vegeta was rough around the edges she knew his potential and he saw hers. He protected her but knew she could already defend herself without his help. idk, I just think it's dumb to be angry at people who ship this because now you make it sound that ochako is weak and its not right when she fights hard just like bakugo. bakugo isn't even abusive nor does he come off like a person who doesn't know better. He has anger issues but it's mainly cause he really doesn't have much places to throw anger in a professional way. does this make sense ? ship it or not, ochako and bakugo is a younger version of bulma and vegeta in my eyes lol and they can be together or they couldn't . They Are strong and talented also they see each other that no one else can see them and it's for who they are regardless of others thought on them.
Another point that really helps thus ship float is that He changed her after their fight. She decided to go to a heavily combat related internship to learn to be a better fighter her drive changed drastically. Nothing between deku and her had caused this level of change
I can see them become partners in the future. She's one of the few people who knows that Bakugou is scared of Deku. I'm hoping for more interaction between them in the future as well as a team-up. Ochako can float Bakugou and Bakugou can go full on Ironman mode.
If you read the manga, in this case i think you don't. Uraraka noticed that the reason Bakugou is always mad at Deku is because he"s afraid that Deku will be stronger than him, and he knows that it's going to happen because the fast growth that he has in mastering his quirk

Izuku and Uraraka just feels really bland and like the obvious main character ship that we see all the time. I feel like for Uraraka and Izuku they’d be better off with people they’d have real dialogue and similar interests and actual development. I see Izuku with someone like Mei Hatsume (note I’m just saying someone “like” her) because I feel like he needs someone with more intellectual stimulation cause he’s a thinker and a problem solver and Mei for example can feed that and I can see those too having long conversations while she builds (enthusiastic with his interest in her work) and he comes up with some or uses some of her inventions. Then again that’s just an idea not really a ship. But with Bakugou and Uraraka there could be some really passion and spirit put into that kind of relationship. I feel like they could talk and she could really calm him down and help him think a lot and he could push her to be her best just like she always wants to be so be the hero to get money for her parents. It just makes sense to me. And it’s so much deeper and dynamic and just fits more than just the simple “main boy X main girl” ship that we ALWAYS SEE.
The more I think about this pairing, the more I can see it being a thing. Bakugo, on some level, respects strength and he recognizes that Ochako isn't weak. He's set the teachers as some kind of bar he needs to reach, and so attempts to defy them only to be pulled back into line. And he's directly antagonistic to Todoroki and Izuku because they're threats to his own self image. But Ochako is in that sweet spot, where she's strong and determined, but not a direct threat to his idea of his own strength. It's not perfect logic, but I think it could work, especially with the dynamic his parents have.
Sovereignwind I agree 100% eventually he might, just might be interested in her even if he may not be mature enough 4 that. And if Bakugos mom is aggressive like him and his dad is more gentle like uraraka their relationship could deepen!
The relationship can come to friendly, interactive terms between the two, but I don’t believe it would reach any further point than that. Bakugo mean demeanour is there because he was spoiled like hell, but he still recognizes anyone’s strength and will respect that (tokoyami, uraraka, etc.) by using their names. At the current rate, Bakugo is developing into more a respectable person, and perhaps he can become romantically attracted to someone equally spoiled. For Ochako, it’s going to be hard to have her genuinely create romantic feelings for Bakugo when more and more interactions with Izuku happen. Readers can’t forget the lasting consequences Aoyama has had on her during the final exam arc. Her feelings for Izuku are growing more and more realistic. Her interactions with Bakugo are friendly, but not in a romantic way. Should she miraculously generate romantic feelings, it’d have to compete against the boy who saved her life in the UA academy hero exam.

Let's be real, OchakoxIzuku will probably happen ... but that doesn't stop me from really liking OchakoxBakugou. I really don't like how people think it would be an abusive relationship, though. I mean, right now Bakugou is in no condition to fall in love (he's an egoistical 15 year old whose sole focus is to become the number one hero), but have you heard of character development? He has his own sense of justice which will most likely grow once he gets older. I think it's kind of rude to his character arc in general to think that he would abuse someone he loves. But in any case, whatever the mangaka ends up doing, I can live with because none of the pairings are bad.
As a non/half/kinda shipper, I can say, I look at it the same way I look at all Bakugo ships (except Kiribaku, because Kiri has a place in Bakugo‘s world): If you look at it from the outside, it looks abusive and like there was no love, but if you dig deeper, you can actually feel the love and concern for each other.
How can he get character development from a character he doesn't even talk to. Don't you think if Uraraka wanted to look deeper into him and "fix" him, she'd have to be around him?

I've seen a lot of shippers change his personality to make their ship work, regardless of who he is shipped with. It happens with all of his pairings, not just kacchako. As a Kacchako shipper, I don't think it's Ochako's job to "fix" him, but in order to be with her he needs to grow and develop himself first. The ship, to me, needs this growth in order to work and that's one of the reasons I like it. It forces the characters, especially Bakugou, to mature and become better people. I don't think the same can be said for KiriBaku or Izuocha (which are cute but i'm not getting into that lol)

Izuku and Ochako's dynamic as friends is great, but that's where things end for me. it LITERALLY could have been any other girl in class who saved him from face planting and i bet that fans would have immediately supported it. Izuku had apparently never talked to a girl before and would have blushed hardcore regardless of which girl it was. Also, I'm biased because I love Katsuki's bad boy persona and love a good couple with opposing personalities.

This is one of my favorite ships from this series. I love it with all my heart. But sometimes I’m hesitant to talk about liking with both people and online and my friends who watch it. It’s something that people would look at and immediately think “what, that’s a stupid ship” and not look deeper into it. I get not understanding a ship, but unless it’s a ship that is blatantly abusive or there’s too much of an age gap, let people ship who they want to ship! The whole point of shipping is to have fun and get more enjoyment out of characters they love.

Obviously I like ururaka and deku being together but as the writer is such a huge fan of Spider-man I can definitely see the writing going in the direction of deku diverting much of his attention to being the best hero and as selfless as possible, leaving ururaka alone and bakugo, being Dekus revival in a sense go in to be there in someway that makes sense. Just like how Harry Osborn was there with MJ before peter got there. That’s to say eventually deku will get with her as deku grows as a person but I can easily see bakugo and ururaka getting together for a short time, and I think that relationship could grow bakugo as a character.
Narcotic yes of course, however the difference between Deku and Bakugo is that Bakugo isn’t finding his confidence and the hero that is within him. Bakugo knows the man he is, he has his confidence to the point of a god complex. While he does have some inner turmoil, deku on the other hand has lots more on his plate than any other character, from the weight of one for all, learning to wield it, becoming the #1 hero, and growing into his super hero place, Deku doesn’t have as much availability emotionally as say Bakugo. Please note, I do know that Deku and Ururaka have feelings for eachother in the show, and that they will likely end up together. I’m simply justifying why this couple is something id find entertaining and a good arc for Bakugo and ururaka for the reasons stated before.
I don't see Ochaco putting up with what Bulma tolerated. Plus Bulma was always a little on the loose side. She's LUCKY Vegeta developed the way he did because one night stands do not normally work out like that (or ANY relationship founded on sex).
Uraraka shouldn't end up with Deku, because it would be used as an excuse to cheap out on her development. She's not written as well as she deserves to be, and that kind of one-demensional seeming crush won't help. I can see how Izuku and Uraraka could end up together, and it could be really good, but it needs to be written more seriously.

During the sports festival, she only came up with that smart plan because Deku is really good with that, and he pushes her in a way. Deku is a positive impact, even if she thinks of him too much. Positive in a way that he urge to be a hero is more in a logical and strategic way. Bakugou isn't necessarily inspiring, kind, or friendly. One of the traits that separate each other. And really, what will benefit Uraraka in the relationship? Can you see them getting lovey dovey when they don't even interact? really, for me the characters clash in a way that It wouldn't work out, and it would just break their complexity just so Bakugou could blush at a person who is scared of him and wanted nothing to do with him.

Also, after that fight (in the manga and omakes), she has been shown to not fear Katsuki anymore, and say things straight to his face as well. That is also a great way to display to readers that she's grown and matured as a character. They haven't really brought each other down since their fight, and have only been used as fuels to show each other's personal growth. Now, don't get me wrong. Again, I don't really ship Katsuki and Ochako together as lovers, I just think it's a more interesting and unique dynamic. And I only think so because whenever there is Ochako and Deku interaction, it's predictable writing. Ochako and Katsuki's chemistry during the fight was not romantic by any means, but it was unpredictable, interesting and fresh. What I truly want is for them to see each other eye-to-eye and be on the same level, either as friends or as friendly rivals. I don't care much if they date or not, that's fine either way. TLDR; I'm not that passionate about them and I don't think of them as boyfriend and girlfriend, I just enjoy their interactions. Being meta, their scenes usually showcase Ochako being mature and growing. Ochako's scenes crushing on Deku have mostly shown more of the same. Welp... That's it.

He is shown more tame when insulting her compared to everyone else. Ochako called him cool to his face and looks up to his strength. My problem with the Deku Ochaco ship: Basically already married with being a future hero. For all I know, he has not shown to have any romantic interests at all. To him, Uraraka is a very close friend who is also a very attractive girl his age. Despite that, Ochaco still has a huge crush on him that has evovled from the big admiration she has for him. Her picture of him is quite similar to All Might's. So... She is a fangirl, I guess. I just do not see how Deku will ever need someone as close as a lover to back him up in life. That is a different story with Bakugo. He is not aiming to heroic. He is aiming to be #1. His path is not one of being a symbol, but one of challenging everyone. He is a strong believer in ones own strenght and believes that one should do everything in their own power, before crying out for help. With this in mind, it is save to say that Bakugo will have a harsh time ahead of him. Just like Endaevor, he might end up as the eternal 2nd, struggeling to keep up with One For All. He will also be under constant fire from the public for not being "heroic" enough. As such, he will need someone in his life to support him. To reassure him and remind him of his own words. He already has someone like that with Kirishima. But the guy sadly is not the brighted light around. Uraraka is support personafied. Psyching people up is what she does. And she knows herself how to not go down, no matter how bad the situation might be. It is not that I see these two specifically to end up together, just that I believe that Bakugo will be in need of a person like her in his life to keep his head up while the weight of his +2 position and the criticism of society presses down on him.

Tin Watchman He actually does have emotional problems. If you read the manga (which I won't spoil it here), he's shown to actually fear Midoriya and that every time Deku does something great, it makes him feel insignificant and weak. Despite it was him that bullied Deku, he actually felt jealous of Deku's perseverance and was threatened by him. Every time Deku tries to pity him or help him, he rejects it because he can't accept being weak. In his mind, he felt belittled by Deku and while Deku was the one who got bullied, Kacchan felt bullied himself. Much like Deku but in a lesser case, he suffered confidence problems when he faces Deku.
It's pretty interesting in terms of characterization.
Another reason on why people ship this is because remember when Ochako threw her jacket to distract Bakugou? Yeah well at the end of the fight it you rewatch it carefully it was still there, however at the end you see Bakugou walking in the direction of the jacket and it was in the next few seconds when they showed the full arena the jacket was gone and so was Bakugou. And when Midoriya went to check on Ochako the burnt jacket was returned to her and there was a new jacket on the table. So this could only mean that Bakugou returned Ochako’s burnt jacket and brought her a new one (or she could have gotten the new one already but the burnt jacket part makes sense)

There's actually lots of fanart and fanfictions of this ship so actually quite a lot of people ship them. Also, even if it won't be canon, there's no harm shipping it. It won't endanger other ships. It's all up to the author in the end. I for one think Bakugou can help train Uraraka and make her a stronger person. Uraraka looks up to him for his strength and grit and he becomes her motivation to be stronger. She also understands him well despite not being a teacher or knowing him like Izuku and Kirishima does.

The thing I never got about this was the sides of it. I can understand Bakugo being attracted to Ochako. That makes a certain kind of sense, the fight they had at the sports festival caused him to respect her a lot. He remembered her name after that., and he rarely cares that much. I could see him finding her skill and determination attractive. That being said, I don't know what she would see in him. I mean Bakugo developing as a person may help this but in general I can't see what would draw her to him.

Bakugo was the only one who made Uraraka go all out and try her best and beyond. All of her team mates wanted her to give up and treated her just like any other love intertrest of the protagonist. The main love intertrest is always over protected by everyone and basically does nothing. They are a background character to fawn over the main character. Her fight with Bakugo was the only time where her character felt like her own because he respected her skills. Thats why I ship them and not Deku.
Can you please take in mind that she was thinking about Midoriya when she was fighting Bakugou.

There’s a little potential because of the 1v1 mainly, but in my opinion, Kirishima has the best chance for Bakugo because they’re “equals” and Horikoshi mentions that Kirishima could be the only one for Bakugo because of the mass damage he deals.

Well personally I’m a huge sucker for the edgy/angsty/bad-boy-falls-for-good/sweet/pure-girl trope. So yes, I do ship these two. I know it’s not gonna happen, but I think them being together could provide a lot of character development for both of them: some of uraraka’s kindness/understanding would rub off on bakugou, and some of bakugou’s aggressiveness/sternness on uraraka.
Though at the same time I ship izuku/ochako, but that’s for another time...
Honestly, it probably won't happen or romance won't be developed for a while I think but I can see bakugou and uraraka having a relationship used as an important dynamic for character development between the two characters, maybe it would help uraraka realize how strong her feelings are for deku, etc.

Honestly, even though I ship kacchako, I agree, I definitely don’t see him getting together with her unless Kohei decides to pull the Kishimoto Stunt, which Kishimoto created different ships for the Naruto cast, especially Naruto, though knowing he will End up with Hinata for the longest time, to bring attraction to the show, to which, I see happening. (As a lot of people only watched MHA because of the ships they saw Online)

Those ppl haven’t seen his parents lol, his parents also like urarak and bakugo, his mom is like so harsh to him but you can see that she’s all soft when it comes to his dad and his dad is like Uraraka all respectful and silent (not submissive but you get what I mean lol).

He has an explosive personality (pun kind of intended) but I highly doubt he would be an abusive boyfriend/person.
If Uraraka were involved in developing Bakugou, I believe that Bakugou needs something to push him farther with his character development _before_ getting anything from Uraraka, that way he's sort of on his edge already.
And I know this might sound crazy, but I feel like that push would stem from someone basically dying at his hands, accidental or not.. A villain, specifically. He always shouts at everyone to "Die" all the time, but he's never killed anyone and actually seems to avoid hurting them more than necessary(Well, he does go too far sometimes), and I feel like it would make him begin to question himself and how true his motives really are of becoming a hero.
_Then_ that's when Uraraka comes in. Being one of the only people to truly understand(besides teachers), She gets asked questions by Bakugou she never would of expected and helps to answer them as best as she could, just barely realizing how much it would help him to change and better himself. He still wouldn't be perfect, but he would be working towards improving.

I thought about this before too; Bakugou is failing to grasp the concept that makes Deku and All-Might more Beloved than others like Endeavor . He focuses on how powerful someone is, not how he can HELP people. Shoot, even Aizawa (if he wanted to be more public) is a fantastic example of a Hero--I think Bakugou needs to get to that point to understand why. (He's also VERY Tsundere-- 'don't protect me' but walks in the middle anyway, I honestly think if Deku had gotten to serious depression levels or was in serious danger he'd actually be super concerned deep down)

Hey, I like Ochako and Midoriya, but I have considered the possibility of Ochako and Bakugo because he was the first to acknowledge and respect her ability and potential. There is an obvious attraction between Deku and Ochako, but if he doesn't show her that he respects her soon, Bakugo could slip into her heart. Ochako already showed an understanding of Bakugo which helped Midoriya concoct a successful rescue plan. I acknowledge the possibility.

It is stated several time that Horikoshi is heavily inspired by Spiderman and has shown the similarities at times in the story with Izuku’s personality and Bakugo’s prodigal and inherited arrogance from Peter and Harry respectively. Ochako definitely is MJ and will be shown to have a liking for both Peter and Harry and a different dynamic with both. Obviously its going to Izuocha endgame but there will definitely be a lot of Kacchako moments to give the fans satisfaction. IMO IzuOcha is super boring and Katsuki’s development would only get better if he worked/partnered with Ochako.
I really hope he goes that route, it'd be interesting to see.
You're right about the fact that Izuku and Ochako will most likely end up together, and like they're cyte or whatever so I don't mind. It's like he's melting two marshmallows into a big mushy marshmallow. But it'd be such a fresh breath of air if Kacchako ended up together because I feel like they could both balance out each other and make a more interesting dynamic. The thing is, as someone who ships this, I know that this ship is not happening. Uraraka is more then likely to end up with Midoriya, and Bakugo will probably not end up with anyone. It's just that I think that this ship has a lot of potential and is a lot more interesting then Midoriya x Uraraka.

Johanna Nilsson I think that once Bakugou gets more development, he will become more mature and more calm (not completely tho lol) and he will be more resepectful. Uraraka will probably notice this and have a conversation with him in the future either when they are heroes and they need each other's help or just for the sake of talking. She might see something in him that she had never seen before. Something hidden. This might cause a love triangle between Deku-Uraraka-Bakugo which could be very interesting.
Alexis Plummer let's just leave this kind of love triangles and too much romance stuff in fanfiction. I prefer shounen genre stories like this to be less in the romance side. Pinch of romance is alright.
I personally feel like Midoriya x Uraraka is too cliche, I feel like I've seen it a lot before - the protagonist falls for the first girl he meets and she just happens to be this really great girl with almost no flaws and is also really sweet so he gets to play the hero (look at the second OVA for proof) - so I think that the lovely quirky (pun intended) Tsuyu is a better match for Midoriya as, while they haven't had much screen time together, they are both adorable. As for Bakugo and Uraraka, I like them better as they have a mutual respect for each other and she knows how to deal with him.
But that being said, I'm always open to a love triangle as long as it isn't the main plot *Cough* Twilight *Cough*

It brings both kind of a character development. If Bakugou respects her, he won't abuse her. He can help Ochaco become a better hero by making her challenge herself and she can mellow him out. On the other hand, Bakugo has serious anger issues, so I think a relantioship wouldn't work out at all. I do like the idea of someone influencing another to change their point of view, tough, so I think that Ochaco kinda brings this more respectful side of Bakugou we don't see much. Pretty neutral with this ship.
It's still better than IzukuxOchaco, tough. At least kachaco brings a reciprocal development to both.
EDIT EDIT 27/02/19: Okay, my opinions have changed, I think Izuku and Ochaco fit much more perfectly with each other and they're a very fitting ship with good chemistry, but, by now, it's being terribly executed sadly. Ochaco was basically reduced to a love interest. I still ship both, Dekuchaco more than Bakuchaco, and I'm rooting more for the former than the later because I think they would get along better due to personalities, but, the way the canon portrays the ship, eeh, kinda irks me out.

The way I see the relationship dynamic working is that Bakugo and Ochako push each other to their limits and make each other better. Bakugo is still fiery and wild but Ochako can handle it and keep up with him cause she's fiery and wild to a point herself. I think that this quality in Ochako and her being able to keep pace with the way Bakugo himself acts while the majority of others cannot is what would peak Bakugo's interest. From what we can see the people that can keep up with Bakugo's personality the best is Kirishima and Bakugo's mom. Bakugo seemingly has no interest in romantic or sexual relationships, choosing to favor his dream of being the #1 hero. It seems like until he can find someone that can keep up with who he is as a person and also who he is as a hero, he's not going to give anyone, same or opposite sex, any thought romantically.
This is where Ochako steps in. She's the only girl we see that keeps up with not just who Bakugo is as a hero, but also who he is as a person. And with Bakugo being that tough macho kind of guy, I can completely see him having a really subtly caring side where he can appreciate certain cute things, so when those feelings start to develop, that side of Bakugo is one that pops out every so often. Cause we all know Ochako is cute as fuck.

In addition, we have never seen Ochako work so hard until her fight with Bakugo. This is where the "pushing to the limit and making each other better" comes in for her.

I personally favor the Bakugou x Uraraka over the Izuku x Uraraka. When I first saw the show, it was obvious in the beggining Izuku and Uraraka had a connection. But overtime I saw Izuku change, he wants to be a hero more than he wants her, or anyone for that matter. He doesn't display the same thoughts and feelings Uraraka shows. I think at some point, she'll confess and he'll choose career. Now here's why I like the Bakugou x Uraraka. It's not cliche, it has some spark to it, and it has a lot of potential. They respect each other greatly after their fight during the Sports Festival. And I feel like they can start to see something in each other that other people can't. Bakugou could see the vicious determined fighter in her which he admires, and she could see a softer side to him. They could challenge each other, in a way to make themselves better, both trying to be like the other. She could be attracted to his determination, but unlike Izuku, Bakugou could show some attraction in her tenacity. Remember this is just my opinion.

Izuku and Uraraka just feels really bland and like the obvious main character ship that we see all the time. I feel like for Uraraka and Izuku they’d be better off with people they’d have real dialogue and similar interests and actual development. I see Izuku with someone like Mei Hatsume (note I’m just saying someone “like” her) because I feel like he needs someone with more intellectual stimulation cause he’s a thinker and a problem solver and Mei for example can feed that and I can see those too having long conversations while she builds (enthusiastic with his interest in her work) and he comes up with some or uses some of her inventions. Then again that’s just an idea not really a ship. But with Bakugou and Uraraka there could be some really passion and spirit put into that kind of relationship. I feel like they could talk and she could really calm him down and help him think a lot and he could push her to be her best just like she always wants to be so be the hero to get money for her parents. It just makes sense to me. And it’s so much deeper and dynamic and just fits more than just the simple “main boy X main girl” ship that we ALWAYS SEE.

The more I think about this pairing, the more I can see it being a thing. Bakugo, on some level, respects strength and he recognizes that Ochako isn't weak. He's set the teachers as some kind of bar he needs to reach, and so attempts to defy them only to be pulled back into line. And he's directly antagonistic to Todoroki and Izuku because they're threats to his own self image. But Ochako is in that sweet spot, where she's strong and determined, but not a direct threat to his idea of his own strength. It's not perfect logic, but I think it could work, especially with the dynamic his parents have.
Sovereignwind I agree 100% eventually he might, just might be interested in her even if he may not be mature enough 4 that. And if Bakugos mom is aggressive like him and his dad is more gentle like uraraka their relationship could deepen!
The relationship can come to friendly, interactive terms between the two, but I don’t believe it would reach any further point than that. Bakugo mean demeanour is there because he was spoiled like hell, but he still recognizes anyone’s strength and will respect that (tokoyami, uraraka, etc.) by using their names.
At the current rate, Bakugo is developing into more a respectable person, and perhaps he can become romantically attracted to someone equally spoiled.
For Ochako, it’s going to be hard to have her genuinely create romantic feelings for Bakugo when more and more interactions with Izuku happen. Readers can’t forget the lasting consequences Aoyama has had on her during the final exam arc. Her feelings for Izuku are growing more and more realistic. Her interactions with Bakugo are friendly, but not in a romantic way. Should she miraculously generate romantic feelings, it’d have to compete against the boy who saved her life in the UA academy hero exam.

Let's be real, OchakoxIzuku will probably happen ... but that doesn't stop me from really liking OchakoxBakugou. I really don't like how people think it would be an abusive relationship, though. I mean, right now Bakugou is in no condition to fall in love (he's an egoistical 15 year old whose sole focus is to become the number one hero), but have you heard of character development? He has his own sense of justice which will most likely grow once he gets older. I think it's kind of rude to his character arc in general to think that he would abuse someone he loves.

I think that can be said for most Bakugou ships tho. I've seen a lot of shippers change his personality to make their ship work, regardless of who he is shipped with. It happens with all of his pairings, not just kacchako. As a Kacchako shipper, I don't think it's Ochako's job to "fix" him, but in order to be with her he needs to grow and develop himself first. The ship, to me, needs this growth in order to work and that's one of the reasons I like it. It forces the characters, especially Bakugou, to mature and become better people. I don't think the same can be said for KiriBaku or Izuocha (which are cute but i'm not getting into that lol)

Izuku and Ochako's dynamic as friends is great, but that's where things end for me. it LITERALLY could have been any other girl in class who saved him from face planting and i bet that fans would have immediately supported it. Also, I'm biased because I love Katsuki's bad boy persona and love a good couple with opposing personalities.

I kinda ship Bakugou and Uraraka. Not saying I Don like Midoriya and Uraraka. I like both ships, but I can imagine Bakugou and Uraraka as father and mother. Like in season 3, Uraraka was yelled at by Bakugou when she said "Wow bakugou I didn't know you could cut so well" or something like that. It seemed like they were a couple working in a kitchen and it is cute.

I personally don’t ship Ochako with either Bakugou or Izuku, I view her relationship with Bakugou as mutual respect and maybe even mutual dislike. I also don’t like Izuku with her either for most peoples reason being it’s pretty predictable.

This is one of my favorite ships from this series. I love it with all my heart. But sometimes I’m hesitant to talk about liking with both people and online and my friends who watch it. It’s something that people would look at and immediately think “what, that’s a stupid ship” and not look deeper into it. I get not understanding a ship, but unless it’s a ship that is blatantly abusive or there’s too much of an age gap, let people ship who they want to ship! The whole point of shipping is to have fun and get more enjoyment out of characters they love.

Mr.Death EU I agree 100% with what you said. Obviously I like ururaka and deku being together but as the writer is such a huge fan of Spider-man I can definitely see the writing going in the direction of deku diverting much of his attention to being the best hero and as selfless as possible, leaving ururaka alone and bakugo, being Dekus revival in a sense go in to be there in someway that makes sense. Just like how Harry Osborn was there with MJ before peter got there. That’s to say eventually deku will get with her as deku grows as a person but I can easily see bakugo and ururaka getting together for a short time, and I think that relationship could grow bakugo as a character.

Narcotic yes of course, however the difference between Deku and Bakugo is that Bakugo isn’t finding his confidence and the hero that is within him. Bakugo knows the man he is, he has his confidence to the point of a god complex. While he does have some inner turmoil, deku on the other hand has lots more on his plate than any other character, from the weight of one for all, learning to wield it, becoming the #1 hero, and growing into his super hero place, Deku doesn’t have as much availability emotionally as say Bakugo. Please note, I do know that Deku and Ururaka have feelings for eachother in the show, and that they will likely end up together. I’m simply justifying why this couple is something id find entertaining and a good arc for Bakugo and ururaka for the reasons stated before.

Uraraka shouldn't end up with Deku, because it would be used as an excuse to cheap out on her development. She's not written as well as she deserves to be, and that kind of one-demensional seeming crush won't help. I can see how Izuku and Uraraka could end up together, and it could be really good, but it needs to be written more seriously.

yes finally, someone understands, not that ochako and deku isn't cute but its cliche and boring and feels extremely forced. i truly think bakugou and ochako would not only be a better pairing but one that could actually happen, and i am hoping it will be an end game pairing.

How would this ship ever happen?? Like, showing respect doesn't mean you automatically ship them, its honestly really stupid. Uraraka strives to be more like Deku, which means that Uraraka would remind Katuski too much of Deku for him to ever like her as a friend or romantically.

I don't really ship either, but if I am to pick one over the other, it'd definitely be Kacchako. Her character growth in that fight against Katsuki was incredible, and she earned his respect as a fighter. Now let's compare that with her constant thinking about Deku, and being jealous with every interaction he has with a girl.
That's not only boring and uninteresting, but makes her admiration for Deku be more detrimental to her growth than helpful.
I honestly think this wasn't Horikoshi's intention, but her crush on Deku is really pulling her away from much more interesting aspects of her arc and story.
@@luluanthem The problem with Kacchako is that it will destroy both of the characters. Uraraka is straightforward and doesn't really say things in a sense Bakugou or anyone would take it lightly. And she's a nice person but if she really wanted to befriend and change Bakugou, she can't be afraid or dismiss his behavior. Kirishima is both.
Her admiration for Deku will help her. During the sports festival, she only came up with that smart plan because Deku is really good with that, and he pushes her in a way. Deku is a positive impact, even if she thinks of him too much. Positive in a way that he urge to be a hero is more in a logical and strategic way.
Bakugou isn't necessarily inspiring, kind, or friendly. One of the traits that separate each other.
And really, what will benefit Uraraka in the relationship? Can you see them getting lovey dovey when they don't even interact? really, for me the characters clash in a way that It wouldn't work out, and it would just break their complexity just so Bakugou could blush at a person who is scared of him and wanted nothing to do with him.

It's kind of cute she looks up to him, but the real interesting part was when Deku admired her for coming up with the plan on her own. Thing is, after that, she still admires him but he's not focused on her at all, and their relationship doesn't seems to advance.
Bakugou isn't nice or kind AT ALL indeed, but inspiring? He is incredibly determined, a skillful fighter and one of Deku's biggest inspirations. He outwardly has stated he might idolize All Might, but Bakugou was his much closer and more personal source of inspiration.
Also, after that fight (in the manga and omakes), she has been shown to not fear Katsuki anymore, and say things straight to his face as well. That is also a great way to display to readers that she's grown and matured as a character. They haven't really brought each other down since their fight, and have only been used as fuels to show each other's personal growth.
Now, don't get me wrong. Again, I don't really ship Katsuki and Ochako together as lovers, I just think it's a more interesting and unique dynamic. And I only think so because whenever there is Ochako and Deku interaction, it's predictable writing.
Ochako and Katsuki's chemistry during the fight was not romantic by any means, but it was unpredictable, interesting and fresh.
What I truly want is for them to see each other eye-to-eye and be on the same level, either as friends or as friendly rivals. I don't care much if they date or not, that's fine either way.
TLDR; I'm not that passionate about them and I don't think of them as boyfriend and girlfriend, I just enjoy their interactions. Being meta, their scenes usually showcase Ochako being mature and growing. Ochako's scenes crushing on Deku have mostly shown more of the same.

Diana Wilson what doesn’t make sense to you? They both mutually respect one another, Ochako is one of the few characters that bakugou doesnt call by an insulting nickname. He is shown more tame when insulting her compared to everyone else. Ochako called him cool to his face and looks up to his strength. It’s fine if you don’t ship them, just stop ignoring the character building between them since the tournament arc

My problem with the Deku Ochaco ship:
Basically already married with being a future hero. For all I know, he has not shown to have any romantic interests at all. To him, Uraraka is a very close friend who is also a very attractive girl his age.
Despite that, Ochaco still has a huge crush on him that has evovled from the big admiration she has for him. Her picture of him is quite similar to All Might's. So... She is a fangirl, I guess.
I just do not see how Deku will ever need someone as close as a lover to back him up in life.
That is a different story with Bakugo.
He is not aiming to heroic. He is aiming to be #1.
His path is not one of being a symbol, but one of challenging everyone.
He is a strong believer in ones own strenght and believes that one should do everything in their own power, before crying out for help.
With this in mind, it is save to say that Bakugo will have a harsh time ahead of him.
Just like Endaevor, he might end up as the eternal 2nd, struggeling to keep up with One For All.
He will also be under constant fire from the public for not being "heroic" enough.
As such, he will need someone in his life to support him. To reassure him and remind him of his own words. He already has someone like that with Kirishima. But the guy sadly is not the brighted light around.
Uraraka is support personafied. Psyching people up is what she does. And she knows herself how to not go down, no matter how bad the situation might be.
It is not that I see these two specifically to end up together, just that I believe that Bakugo will be in need of a person like her in his life to keep his head up while the weight of his +2 position and the criticism of society presses down on him.
