Tempest actually was pretty much my favorite game, that along with all the 80's classics like Donkey Kong, Mouse Trap, Joust, Pac Man, BurgerTime, etc. Would love to see the Mortal Kombat games licenced from Warner Brothers and Netherrealm Studios, as MIDWAY is no longer. I am on the side cabinet art for the MK4 stand up, I would buy all 4 MK's. Anyhow, love your product! Definitely will be sharing this with everyone that I know!

Looks like theres a couple software bugs. Volume resets after reboot and you have to readjust the volume knob to "wake" it back up and there's latency in the sound. When you hit fire, the missile is already in the air by the time you hear the "zap" sound.
Would love to review one on my channel. Very curious to see how it stacks up to 1/6 figures from Hot Toys. I can already imagine a Wild Gunman unit simliar to Back To The Future II so I can display with my Marty! Best price to get one? 😁
Got mine today. Don't even care about the battery drain, as it's always plugged in anyway. Gotta know though, can i leave it on? As in the screen always on in demo mode, and the marquee lit up. Would appreciate an answer to that. Anyway, I fucking love it. Absolutely fantastic piece of work. Congrats.

If you guys are so concerned about protecting the packaging why do you mail it in a box with absolutely no clearance on any side? One ding to the outer shipping box in transit translates to a damaged product box. Ideally this should be shipped in a larger box with clearance on all sides with sufficient padding. I don't think I've ever received a package by mail that didn't at least have one corner dented.
Ah.. Ok, good to know. When he said "This is how you will receive your Centipede..." I assumed that was the shipping box. Awesome! Can't wait to get mine. I purchased one during the soft launch from the New Wave Toys website a few days ago. Any word as to when it will ship?
@@nef7939 It is a dream come true and is an exquisite piece of electronic art. A lot of love went into this thing and it shows. It is expensive but I used PayPal credit and paid it off in 4 months with no interest. Not one regret. The only imperfection is the rechargeable battery drain issue. This was an unforeseen bug but was immediately acknowledged by New Wave and they have already come up with a solution with a firmware update. This will be achieved by using a special USB cable they provide and connecting it to the internal circuit board (firmware will need to be loaded from a Windows PC). The cable and instructions should arrive by mail late November. In addition they also extended the limited warranty from 30 to 100 days. Kudos to New Wave Toys for not only acknowledging the problem but finding a solution fast and on their dime. This kind of dedication to customer service makes the decision to get the Tempest cab a no-brainer.
