dude... thats exactly what he's doing. sound effects? thats all natural man, he's not molesting or changing with effects at all. if anything he's taking alot of these other awesome songs which are doped up with effects, editing, and warping, and purifying them. taking a REAL voice and putting it to the music. It's true that HIS sound is the nearly the same in all of his covers, but thats why he's so amazing.. he's able to take almost any song. give it his own REAL sound, and its beautiful.

Wow - I didn't read the title very closely and it took me a while to realise this was a cover and not actually Third Eye Blind singing... that's an amazing effort!
This song means a lot to me. Two people in different time told me that they wanted to take their lives. One girl called me just before she was going to do it and I was able to hold her on the phone line until she calmed down. She's living a happy life now. The other, a guy, accidentally met me just before he was going to see his parents for the last time..and meeting me made him see the silver lining again. The way you guys play and sing it gives the song a much deeper meaning to me! Thank you!
As someone who is diagnosed with major depression, reading this with the song in mind had me break down in tears. Thank you for saving those people, I know what it is like to want to die and this song is like a savior for those moments. I hope you are well, your story is very heartfelt

You can't say a cover is better than the original. I bet the boys at boyce avenue would openly appreciate the fact that they did not write this song, only covered it, so essentially there is no way in which is it better. The vocal range might be better in this cover, but the songwriters version always reigns supreme.

They're 90's stuff is actually quite a bit more in alignment with their sound on their original album. At least, in my opinion it is. But either way, ALL of the stuff they do is amazing. They have this amazing ability/talent to take a song and cover it and make it theirs without changing it to much or into something unrecognizable. You can still recognize them and they're still true to the original but they've still made it their own and that is just amazing. They're soo talented.

I've run out of compliments for these guys. The percussionist does a masterful job here. Great guitar work as usual. It amazes me how sharp he is with the acoustic, nailing all those subtle licks from the original songs. Obviously practice makes perfect, but damn he's good.!!!

Hopefully it doesn't sound like I'm dismissing this wonderful production. But I'm pretty certain correction was used, as it's used pretty much everywhere due to the availability of the software. But anyways, I don't know how to point it out dingwei7. For about 2 years of my life I thought I was going to be an audio engineer and practiced doing home recording with people that were willing to let me record them. And having played with pitch correction, you began to pick up natural pitch shifts and unnatural ones.

Song hits hard now for me. The last year’s been rough for me and my friends. We all got into drugs and drinking, and have all been pretty suicidal. My friend went ballistic one night after an accident and tried stabbing me. We don’t talk anymore, but this song makes me think of what we all had before the issues. I miss how things used to be.
