And I can't begin to explain my bond with my wonderful and special brother Jakey... I didn't get to meet my dad until I was 17; I'm 26 now. When I was in middle school, I was interviewed on our local news station, and my dad had happened to see the broadcast. He told me that was when he realized he had a better chance of seeing his kid randomly on T.V than in real life. He quit drinking, and I have an awesome relationship with him and his other kids (we're really close now, actually). And in about a month, he's walking me down the aisle, which is something I never, in a million years would have guessed, and I will get my first ever picture with both of my parents in it with me. this song makes me think of our struggle.
