No way known any body would wanna ride in such an ugly car , thats ugly , straight to crusher in my opinion , shit Lincolns were never behind a CADILLAC in style and looks , and i,m a chev man , but give me the ford version everyday over this terd , who cares about maitaining of it if i got it ,, it will be destroyed on purpose

@@kirkacola7942 i love Lincolns for starters,,, and love CADILLAC too just not this one ,
its way of the mark compared to earlier model's and as i repeat its not a grabbing car by its looks , may well be the wheels I don't like the most about this model its just not the wheel this car needed to set it apart ,, they look like a basic model entry level sports car wheels , knob in middle of wire style suited caddy much better and retains its former look by the wheels and front grill , and stacked up/down rear tail lights ,
thats my impression of a bold big Cadillac Brougham should be , this car sadly just looks like a streatch d regular car ,
Lincoln s put a round shape to them and it just worked in regular car or extended wheel base version,
and as a limousine yea suited it well too the Lincolns and we have a few here in Australia as Limousines,
even its wheels suited the car ,
designer's of your Cadillac shouldnt be involved with designs no more after this one for reasons i,ve already said , but you are right such a low mileage car as this is should be driven by a get away type family , but no good off road ,,,
have idea convert it to 4wd frame of 2500 Hd truck then run the big v8 diesel in it, streatch tail shaft to readr diff ,,, another thing we hated was CADILLAC front wheel drive really F,T wtf

To me opinions are like buttholes everyone has one and pretty much most of them stink like this guy's crappy opinion. If I had to guess he probably rode in quite a few before he was done with school he sounds like he may have came from a high-class family or a good bit of money without working for it. And yes he's probably thinking my opinion stinks. However I am not on a man's channel trying to take a crap on the subject of a vehicle that many people like as I have been told in the past if you can't say something nice don't say nothing at all. He sounds very self entitled and that s*** don't work here...... This man works very hard to get stuff done on his channel and to bring good content to the viewers but destroying a vehicle on purpose that looks this good sounds like a rich person that doesn't like a lot of things in life possibly including their self. So don't push your anger towards people that do not deserve it this man works hard for a living as far as I know and is doing a great job at his career. Me myself I am 36 paralyzed live in my parents basement and three vehicles and no house and that's real and just because I don't like everything in my life doesn't mean I'm going to take it out on this good man trying to bring a good video I would say maybe not finished third grade but definitely go back to a childhood and get your ass spanked many at times and learn manners because just because you do not like something doesn't mean that you have to be disrespectful or act like you're on a pedestal regardless of how much education past experience or job positions you have had. If you don't like something just say I'm not big on that style or the look of the vehicle and then let him know that he got a good deal for a low mileage vehicle that runs so good. I love this channel I am in love with that limousine and I cannot wait to see more videos on it. I love this limo I wish I could live in it I'm paralyzed it's not like I have to stand up in it LOL if it were mine it would be my RV LOL some people appreciate things that they have because other people may not be so fortunate. People destroying stuff just because it doesn't meet their expectations or it doesn't tickle their fancy why destroy something so nice if a person doesn't appreciate it then give someone else a chance to appreciate it that actually likes it instead of destroying it it's wasteful ignorant and dumb in my book..

It’s not the cooling system that causes these headgaskets to go bad, it’s actually a design flaws in the head bolts where they slowly back themselves out and thus creates a headgasket leak.

Car Wizard or Hoovie did a feature about this issue... Apparently later ones have the modified head bolts/studs from the factory. Given the age, it should be safe enough. 😉

97-99 are the worst years of the northstar longevity. They started using Dexcool which becomes acidic overtime. GM rates the coolant at 100k miles and doesn't follow a calendar schedule.. Causes almost 100% failure. 2000-2003 cars will last if maintained but have been known for blowing up without flushing coolant. 2004+ is really solid
If you flush the coolant enough it reduces the chance of having corrosion build up on the head bolts. typically is fine if electrolysis took its place with no corrosion from the coolant to reverse the effects. They will last damn near forever. I've seen a funeral home hearse with 19k miles that had blown head gaskets. some make it 180k some make it 15k. depends on how often the coolant is changed Randy is 100% right. Awesome purchase. If the head gaskets ever go bad try using thermalweld its significantly more effective than bluedevil.. Unless you want to fix it the correct way with head studs.

that northstar motor is a highly underestimated engine. It wasn't a bad engine, just a bad design. I currently have an '02 Deville DTS with 183k miles, and still going strong on the original headgaskets and headbolts(which are the real issue). the check coolant light is a common issue on these, and only way to fix it, is with a new coolant resivoir(about $60 on amazon here in nc).
don't worry about others knocking you for buying it, you want it and can afford it? buy it and enjoy it!

I have a 2000 cadillac deville. If your car is not overheating and running fine, you're gonna need a new coolant resevoir. The coolant level sensor is built into the coolant resevoir and is the only way to replace it. Luckily they range between 50-70 bucks. Once replaced that "check Coolant level" should disapear. Congrats.

I've had 5 northstar powered cadillacs, a 96 Eldorado, 99 Deville, 98 Seville STS, 2001 Seville SLS, 2005 Deville, never had the headgasket issue. One odd issue, 4 of them had ignition switch problems which caused a number of ancillary issues. I have several Lexuses and a Mercedes, but definitely miss that era of Cadillac.

  • @Localyhated

Hey Randy that gas cap issue is a evap issue..something between the tank and the front of the car..my 07 Pontiac grand prix says the exact same thing..got to remember these were parts bin cars so alot of sensors and parts you can find on just about any gm car of the same category. Mine happens to be the fuel tank sensor it sits on top of the gas tank in the back. Should be the same on that cadi you just got. But those are great cars if like you said maintained regularly . I'm super familiar with all gms and I been watching you for a long time like I had mentioned way back not to long ago about the Tahoe you had back at the farm and then you only had I think 40 k subs. But yeah man check out the gas tank sensor and check your fuel filler neck make sure it's not leaking from around the tank and anything associated with that..otherwise that light will come and go ..usually will go out after you drive it down to about three qaurters of a tank of gas and comes back on at half or a little below..just saying it's nothing to worry about just the sensor freaking out lol..great purchases my guy happy to see how far you have come.

i had a 98 hurst (based off the Deville) like this, and i loved it. mine was funeral retiree, too. the biggest issue i had, is popping the coolant hose going to the back heater going over railroad track that i would bottom out. i ended up just bypassing the rear heater system. i had that thing for like 3 years. by the end of its life, i had no ac, no heat at all, but i drove it until it died. i would love to get another one. the good thing about funeral retirees, they were normally taken care of properly, as they do want the bereaving families to be in a nice comfortable car. having to buy premium gas does suck, but at least when i had mine, it was to bad. i did put 87 in it one time, it out of habit right after buying it, and i knew pretty instantly, not to do that again. it ran so rough. of course my kids loved it. i ran IT service calls in it, and the conversation you have with the customers were great.

Randy don't consider it. Pull the trigger on getting tire machines. I live in the eastern plains of colorado 50 minutes from Colorado Springs. I did this 10 yrs ago refurbished some older used machines, they are now 26 or 27 yrs old, and the convenience, time and money saved absolutely justified the purchase. Now i just order my tires online.

Sometimes when you spray white in base and laquer the basecoat can yellow a bit which is what that could be . I imagine it's had a couple of scrapes here and there in its life. They probably blended the base in and laquered the whole door.

The yellow discoloring on the paint is from iron in water from irrigation system that was spraying on the limo. TIP: Use one part toilet bowl cleaner and one part water and spray on the stain and wash off the limo. Wipe off with cloth. The best toilet bowl cleaner is to get “The Works” from Wal-Mart. Hope this helps Randy. I had the same issue with my truck.

The sensor on the coolant reservoir is probally bad.Just top off the coolant with dexcool if that what the cadillac requires or you could bypass it with a paperclip?.if i was closer i buy that limo from ya!, i mean i dunno what i will used it for? Bur why not XD

@@mattcat231 in all my northstars i usually flushed coolant at about 75k to 100k since i dont like same fluids being in same engine for too long even if it says that on label. Maybe thats why never had problems with 3 of them. Only thing that had to keep an eye was oil level and on all of them had ro add about half a quart every 1.5k to 2k miles but thats it.

    • @mattcat231
      @mattcat231 2 года назад +1

@@norbkowa I have an 03 Oldsmobile Aurora with the 4.0 Northstar, and a 2004 Cadillac Deville (was a funeral family car from 2004 to 2006 before i bought it, not limo, just a base Deville). My coolant gets changed every 50k miles, my Aurora has over 320k miles on it, and my Deville is sitting currently at 246,629 miles. My Deville does have the half case leak, and I use about 2 quarts per 5k miles. My Aurora only uses a quart per 5k, and the rear valve cover is starting to seep a little. It has always run 1 bar above half since new, and my Deville runs right at half on the temp gauges. I also have run 15-w-40 Rotella diesel oil and Wix filters in them since i got them (the Olds was my mom's car bought brand new, i did all her work and maintenance, and i now own it). Both Engines are SPOTLESS inside, and have great oil pressure and not even a tiny lifter tick like most Northstars!
