This is just me but I’ve never been into this branding thing 🤷🏼♀️ For me as a client I don’t care about logos and such if I want to hire another person to do the job. I want a person not a machine, logo seems very generic and impersonal. When it comes to websites, again as a user, I want clear and visible font without crazy overthought color combos. Hence as a creator, I use minimalist website template (black background, white font) to display my work. Since my photography is bold and colorful those type of images look the best on black background. I think a lot of photographers overthink branding too much. It doesn’t have to be complicated. This could also be my degree in IT speaking. I’ve seen way too many crazy websites with unreadable designs and my eyes still hurt ten years after 😂
I get it and even in the video I touch on that a little. Branding is good and the bigger your business gets, the more important it is to brand. However, it's not what gets you the job. It's what inches you forward in a tough situation. It's what makes them understand you better, or if they can't pick between 2 photographer or videographers - then it helps give you the edge.
