I really appreciate how you chose a commuting student... A lot of people (especially incoming uni students) feel that if they're not at the hub of it all they aren't really getting the college experience. College is different for everyone, and this long commuting style of study is becoming more and more of a reality.

As a current 1st year Business/Management student who commutes 90minutes each way to go to university, I agree.

This is great and very "good vibes yay" but it might be a little bit unrealistic as it really cuts short just how much of your time reading and research will take up in your LLB (bachelor of laws). Readings per class per law subject will generally take up about 6 hours (including note-taking). For the past 5 years there have been two classes (seminars) per week, and you will generally do 2-3 law subjects at a time.
In years 1-3 you will likely mix law courses with courses from your other degree and keeping up will not be so challenging - you will have ample time for internships, etc. However, if you chose to continue your full-time load in later years (you have generally finished your other degree by then) you might find your free time cut short, and your priorities tested. This is also where some people (but not most!) either switch to part-time study loads or drop the degree. Luckily, there a ton of people in the same trench as you, and it's the people closest to you that will keep you going. Although, this does mean that if you're planning to work 5 days a week and cram all of your subjects on 2 days - you might end up miserable and addicted to caffeine (that being said, if you have a real incentive anything is possible). It is very important for your mental health and grades to allocate time to do a LOT of serious self-study if you want to do your law degree successfully.
Feel free to contact me for any more info on LLB at UNSW.

      Hi Ivan,
I absolutely love UNSW and intend to apply for an undergrad degree in business. I understand that you have quite a bit of knowledge on LLB at UNSW, but I would be highly obliged you give me an idea of what the campus culture and students, in general, are like (that is, competitive, chill, high spirited, and so on...).
Also, feel free to leave any other University recommendations.
      Thanks!

D Ray in Australia, a combined Arts/Law degree is 5 years! they're undergrad degrees done at the same time. she probably transferred into it or went on exchange etc, hence the extra year :)
