The leaders make it look so effortless! Ian Holmes just dances over the scree.Sure i just spotted Geoff Briggs of Pennine fell runners emerging out of the mist, great video by the way i must do this race and brush up on my navigation skills!!!
Not sure why blaharns dislikes your music choice like to know what it is.Done this race 8 times over last decade or so.great to see Jebby and other elite fellsman at there best. Please organise better weather next year!!
WOWOW!! I am a distance runner from the Netherlands (which is f***ing flat) but I now want to go to a fell running match! This is beautiful! So... let's see where and how I can join, and start moving my butt to train for something insane like this :)
@@fuzzyfilumz Hi Richard, makes sense. I've surfed Aaron Slack in hiking boots, but this is another skill level! Thanks for the quick reply, that's much appreciated.
@gvsgaius British "Fell (Hill) Running" is very different to what you will experience in Europe/USA. The races can be over much rougher ground. You will not see many International races going down scree slopes.
If the IAAF recognize fell running, why don't they have a world championship yet like they do for outdoor and indoor track and field (including race walking and the marathon), half-marathons, or cross-country?
keep coming back to this vid, its awesome and the music aint too bad either!

We have a pretty good runner in Pennine Fell Runners from Holland!
what shoes would be good for this? Normal fell running shoes, or something sturdier?
Hi
Thanks for the question.
They are wearing normal fell running shoes but it’s not uncommon to have to stop at the bottom and empty out stones.
