Hardcore Fan of Archive since 2004 ... trip hop progressive rock ... most underrated band i found... ' Call to arms and Angels ' brand new LP is a true masterpiece ! so popular in Europe ... 42 schedulded this fall 2022
Archive es una excelente banda, la disfruto mucho! Gracias por este video.
Wow!! I’ve never heard of this band, that was such a good listen, gotta a very OK Computer sound to it, will be checking out more Archive, thanks for the introduction Jon 👍🏻
Love that you have reacted to Archive! I used to listen these back in early 2000's and the track 'All Time' from their Londinium album was a favourite of mine for a good while. I hadn't heard their later stuff so this is great.
Archive is a 25 years old band now. They started as a trip-hop band. Their first album Londinium is one of the best trip-hop album ever made. Then they evolved more to progressive rock with amazing song like Again, Lights, Fuck you and the album Controlling crowds where this song is from. Then they moved a bit to electro rock but the recipie is often the same with very long songs with repetitive melodies, very slow build-up leading to a climax in the end. If you want to discover the band the best soing is again (I advise the live version from Eurockéennes de Belfort). Glad some youtube reactors finally decide to get some interest to this very under-rated band.
Great song Jon. Looking forward to making my way through their records for the first time.
Arguably the best band of this century.
Never heard of this band (well, collective!) before but really enjoyed this track. Thanks for sharing, both!
Saw Archive 2 times live. 2 Evenings i will never forget
Wow awesome analysis and reaction!
A similar sound from around the same time as Archive's debut album is the group from Bristol 'Day One' and the track Autumn Rain is well worth a listen. 🎶👍🏻
This is a new band for me, I never heard of them. I agree with Wonderboy, it reminded me of Radiohead, in a good way.. I need to hear more from these guys. Thanks Jon, something new to explore.
That was really good, I've never heard of this band before but definately will be doing some more delving. I was getting Kraftwerk vibes when that rhythm section kicks in half way through, really good.
Not enough Archive reactions on YT such an amazing band and such underestimated. I kept posting comments here and there to spin the spinner but no luck sk i am so happy to see this. Should have been live in athens version thouh
Please do it for lights or again
