You are legend Yanfly! My units are quite max but I was able to clear this SSS level with ease following your advice for each level. I just beefed up my sniper stacks with ranged specialists like you said and cruised through each level. Thank you, thank you, thank you again!!
Can't believe I didn't find your guide sooner! I've missed many weeks of Data Supplements as I hated this mode and couldn't get past stage 5 at best. Went straight through with your guide, godsend!

Top tier Guide, i went from getting stuck at floor 3/4 to clearing the hole map, after 3 days i finaly got the secret medal but i was alot of pain lmao ^^

Do you have any suggestions for alternatives to Weedy s1m3? I’ve got s2 and s3 on her as options, but perhaps vanguard stacks are enough to compensate for just sL7 on s1…
Any CC should be work, I even accidentally use her S3M3 water cannon with full vanguard buff to push slightly Croc and worked well
But it's more effective if u use more slow CC like Irene, Bibeak or any stun/stopper skill (not sleep)

Weedy isn't needed here btw. I completed the run with GG + Suzu without using any pushers.
Used Blaze instead for additional damage when needed.
It's funny how it's easy from stage 1 to 5, then 6 and 7 are RNG hell and then 8 is easy again. It feels like those are placed there just to make you fail the trim.
After 7h of try, I finally did it.
Well, as I don't have GG and Skalter, support unit -> GG, map 6 is a pain in the ass. If as me you are stuck here, try to get a Saria. With her s3 you can easely clean a wave.
If you can, after Suzu and GG, build a Chalter s3 (where is deployed Skater, facing right).
If you face her a 2nd time or you can bring her from the recuperation area, keep Flametail in hand with her s3, if your Mudrock fall, deploy her. My Mudrock, even with a 4 vanguard + 1 defender equipment was able to be beat by some mobs because I can't beat them 'quickly' enought (as said, no Skalter). Flametail will be 2-shot while her skill is not active, but will quickly generate it (so: dodge everything and block 4).
Bagpipe s3 can help too (where is deployed Flametail, facing top).
Floor 7 consistently fucks me up.

Yo thanks for this, as always! Question: how many stacks is max stacks, and does Angelina work as a replacement to Suzuran (Never rolled/got her)
5 is max, meaning the 6th one will get it all.
You can use Angelina but it's a lot harder to make due with since she has to wait for her skill to recharge unless you mean S1. I never tried it with her S1 but I don't think it'll work nearly as well.
I've tried and it's doable but hard. You need ptilopsis + ranged vanguards (beanstalk/ blacknight) to put down to help her get her SP up to minimise downtime. Early on, the waves are easy enough for her but late game the enemies get so tanky that her skill runs out too early so high downtime can mess up your clear. You either select the ranged vanguards initially and gamble on having less traditional ones or pick the traditional ones and gamble on getting ranged ones later. Ranged tile specialists can also help here.

Could you use FEater S1M3 instead of Weedy? My Weedy is M6 but I've never touched her S1 because why?
can susuran be replaced by angelina, or mudrok by horn? I don't have wise and suzuran :(
Protip: Elysium is amazing for the early stages of any map. -1 DP cost on Snipers is great, and he can print DP on S1 or provide AoE slow on S2
Sure do love when I make it all the way to the final map, and the game refuses to give me my healer, so my GG dies to the boss' second pass and I just lose.

Is there any other operator, who can replace Goldenglow?
Might be difficult since not many casters work with ASDP+ well, since every caster that's not Steward have per second skill charge, and I don't think Angelina can nuke out the same kind of DPS. MAAAAAYBE try Amiya since she gets +3 SP on hit, but then you are dealing with random stuns whenever her S2 ends, and her S1 is a fairly generic ASPD+.

There's another Irene/Mudrock strategy floating around so I just used Irene instead of Goldenglow and it worked fine
@@saturn_illus got all the medals with this strategy with Dusk s3m3 replacing GG. Harder a bit but doable

Is it necessary to clear this run to get material for operator's module upgrade? I mean bonus dmg and hp sounds great, but I don't have enough 6* operators to clear the run, then if I fail and start again it will like playing rogue-lite mode though?
If you dont have enough six star ops, then it isn't worth it. Modules are incredibly expensive and the LMD and mats required are best used to get more ops to par.
No. You'll get some materials whenever you decide to stop the mission

IS is gravy. Story is gravy. R18 has been gravy since CC5 (early days for acct).
... but this nonsense makes me want to stab my eyes out. Feels like I've brought up too many E2-42 units without getting masteries. And I've ignored most 4*.
Feels like I need masteries on 20 units to get this mode functional. Bah humbug.
And on top of that I need to do some Masteries for CC10 prep.
what is the logic of choosing op between maps ?
Is no skill activations a hidden medal or is this just a guide to complete the SSS easier?
tapped out on lt-5 here. dual lanes are hell on this mode. i'll try again with a stolen suzu but i already got all the mats for this cycle so im not too preoccupied with succeeding LMAO

Don't block Big Hammer dude in bottom, he does AOE dmg when attacking

7:35 i feel the total opposite, i failed a lot at floor 7 due to not enough blockers in time or leak later then lose
and floor 8 due to boss cant be killed well using few units, didnt think of that filling out decks to reduce chance or stoned deployed ops
finished everything in 2 hours since launch tho, but not all medal haha

You know...hot take...I prefer SSS to IS. Still after months can't get my head around IS, this...while the enemy health is annoying to all heck, I can deal.
I just pretend IS doesn't exist. Not even remotely interested in wasting 60+ minutes on it without continues. Failing on the last level and having to start completely over again is just ridiculous. Plus the text for the missions is just too small and annoying to read on my tiny phone. Games should be fun and IS just isn't any fun at all. I'm usually a completionist, but after investing over 2 years into Arknights, I debated quitting the game because of how much of a chore IS is. It's like getting fired from work, but then getting called in to work anyway, without any pay, just for fun. Uh, this isn't fun. At all. Who tested IS? It sucks. So, yeah, I just ignore it's existence.
I like SSS a lot more than IS for the sheer reason that you can retry a stage if you fail and not have to go all the way back to the beginning
you’re just bad, Is is pretty easy once you know what to do. Granted Is is more of a chore to grind.

IS is much easier than SSS even on the 1.2x multiplier difficulty setting, but I still prefer SSS, just more fun
