Update Your Cub Cadet ZT Seat Springs - Smooth Baby!

Updating the Cub Cadet ZT series seat springs. I love this mower, but the seat springs are unacceptable. Spend just a little more and get a mower seat spring - designed to be a mower seat spring, as an original equipment part.

Worked great. The parts fit great. Did not use water. Just place a towel over the tank; when done, most of the shaving stayed on the towel. Easy clean-up.

Thanks man. Great idea. I agree, for $3,400 zero turn mower you would thing cub cadet could spend the $2 and put actual springs on the seat.
Those plastic tabs give none. Like sitting on bricks.
My pasture is all torn up with holes from my hens scratching and if I hit one just right it’s painful.
Will do this.

First, thank you for doing the research on this. I tried to use a needle nose to remove the original "springs", to no effect. Upon closer examination, CC would not have put the large holes in the frame next to the "springs" for no reason. I inserted the short end of a 5mm Allen wrench into the hole and very easily leveraged the clip closed.
