A lot of ships have missing damage pipes, fine, we are getting Maelstrom. However, putting the power plant in the most vulnerable spot is just bad. This will still be a problem, maybe even a bigger one, with Maelstrom. Once again, CIG didn't put any thoughts in this: _"Let's put the power plant where it looks nice"_
Carls Jones, COO of CIG, has left his position after 10 years according to his LinkedIn account. On his farewell post he states that he helped CIG raise over $1B in revenue from crowd sourcing and investments. So I guess we can now use a nine figures as a record number in funding to this ongoing project.
The nuclear reactor is in the bottom rear and the torp blast radius is 50m, enough to destroy it, so 1 torp there will disable the Polaris immediately, also the front I think something is wrong, the Polaris seems to be ultra durable or randomly die in 1 or 2 torps from the front

I was thinking it was going to be how many ships firing torps does it take to lick a Polaris “PDC’s be damned” after watching I am thinking 5 from at the rear.
Want to see which size missile minimum would one hit to polaris. I started 4.0 using competition powerplants until a single taskforce was disableing me

Excellent test. Good data for strategy management during combat with the Polaris
This video convinced me to hang on to that Eclipse for the time being :D
Soon to be probably the only viable solo ship left

Woot you killed a Polaris!! Dam it will take weeks to buy them all back
This is how small ships are taking down Polaris when leaving stations.

@Camural CIG: "let's put the most vulnerable part of the ship in this totally exposed area"
from my limited testing, when power plant hits zero, boom, no matter the hull hp. pre-engineering thing maybe? fun video
The 10 front might be planned, due to armor thuckness/ shape. tho I'd love to see weapon, module and glass dmg.
are you going to make a video on the item duping from ship claims including fps items in 4.0?

I wonder if one qdampening vehicle in damping range still prevents Polaris from nav Mode . . .
Great Tests ! lol

Is the Polaris suffering from the 890J syndrome?🤔
The Polaris is a facetank now.
So my Retaliator goes after a Polaris from the rear. But still need to get past the Point Defense.
Dumb fire at close range
@@Camural Kind of eliminates the need for long range guided weapons. Might as well use fighters. :)
you don't need torps - just use small ship and aim for the bridge or hangar = insta kill. CIG refuses to fix ramming.
Mighty S4
Interesting, the weak stern is bad
Wait is the game playable now ?
nope now with 4.0 you either belong to the lucky ones who can "play" or you belong to the rest who is shut out
That radar looks stupid
