I actually just graduated high school 1994 I was with my best friend, we met Rene and was bumped to front row. Those were the days man. Just a thought……. “ for the fans” why can’t all of the cast that participated in “The JANET” world Tour 1993 go back to Janet and ask for whatever the cast got from The All for You HBO Special and The Velvet Rope HBO Special combined because the Janet tours did last a lot longer. And then release it if all agreed. There has to be something that can be done. This tour deserves to be released for the fans and not to mention THE HISTORY OF WORLD TOURS. Children today have NO idea what world tours are supposed to be. Lol

I heard he was super jealous on video shoots too, like on the Love Will Never Do video, which had Antonio Sabato Jr. and Djimon Hounsou in it. Basically jealous of any other guy that was close to Janet in any capacity.
Out of Janets background singers I remember you the most! And it was mind blowing to me that Patrice Rushen on of my favorite artist was the musician director for the Janet tour! Sad that she was fired! Makes me sad! I can’t wait til your next video! ❤️🙏🏾

We love Janet so much...I heard that Janet always smells so good...and that she is a sweetheart. I know she can get a bitch told if she wanted too, and I remember there's a clip on youtube where she's going off on Jermaine, but she sounds so sweet with it, so much so it's funny and you just wanna give her a big hug. I was in a group as a background singer for a good friend of mine, and I recall the backhanded and underhanded behavior of the background singers, especially those women, they kept up more mess than the law would allow and out show was only for one night, but the rehearsals is where the ego's where...and the band members tried to tell my friend who was the lead singer how he should sing the song, and it didn't end well for him, my friend had to let him go, he was keyboard player....So I know and hae a first hand account of how those ego's of people doing these shows can be. Rene was a motherf**ker I see. I will give him this though, he knew how to market Janet and had great idea'...but that shady behavior took me out. How is he going to tell you not to sing when Janet told you to sing...she was the money maker, not him. He was on her payroll. Then the snake tried to sue her, well di and go millions, but that's fine, Ms. Janet prevailed and went on to make millions more. I think Rex Salas is related to Janet, I think her brother in-law? I love Janets work ethics, though she does work hard, dances hard and I appreciate her for bringing us 40+ years of entertainment...She is and always will be the Blueprint and Icon. Yes the ciicnattian beautiful hotel did you go to the 150Th floor to overlooks the city? Very beautiful they got the the magnifine veiwers to see the city and did you go underground to the shops it a pretty cool place ..miss Cincinnati they had a club called Bogarts where singers performed Prince once played there under the red hot white and blue band my friend knew who it was because the colors created purple but yes many wonderful places to hang mt Adams forest Park downtown Cincinnati was cool also :) x💜🙏💜✨😊🤗

This was an awesome video!!!!! Since you joined, could you give us insight into why Janet didn't perform as much on tv as she did the other tours? I'm wishing she did "If" more than once and they may pop up at a performance in another country or something.... Like I'm JUST seeing footage of her doing Rhythm Nation and Miss You Much and they're all overseas.
Omgsh I came across a Rene Elizondo interview on RUclips and I kind of skipped around, it was crazy cuz I landed on the Janet part so I didn’t have to listen to him for the whole interview. lol Anyway,it was kind of sad how he described first meeting Janet because the focus was how it led him to writing 36 songs, directing videos, traveling etc. and then he briefly said “and Janet and I were married as everyone knows ” 🤦🏽♀️ Looking forward to pt. 3 tomorrow 👏🏼
I do recall watching the Rhythm Nation documentary and seeing Rene "teaching" the Rhythm Nation moves to the dancers I think including the choreographer Antonio? So, this just added to it. Interesting...

Rene was a control freak and a manipulator in my opinion. He was a jerk to many people, I was just one he couldn't control. I'm glad you got front seats!!! that's a really good question as to why they let her go, did yal ever find out? It was actually surprising to me to find out that she was the original MD in the first place. I know Rex Salas was the tour MD once it kicked off. I have SOOOO many questions about this because I've been intrigued with the janet. tour since I was a kid in 93. Were the song arrangements that yal actually used for the show the same ones that Patrice created, or did they get changed? I'm totally shocked to hear what you said about Rene as well, because every interaction that I had with him as a fan was always amazing, and have only heard similar stories to mine as well. Do you have anything as far as pics/videos from the production rehearsals? I would soooo love to see them since very little is shared bout this tour since she never put it out for a retail release 🙄 I know a fan leaked the audio from the rehearsal sessions a few years ago and yal sounded great. Most of all, thank you so much for posting these two vids and sharing with the fans. You didn't have to, but you shared a lot.
@@NastyBrkdwn I'll just say this, I honestly don't think it was a decision that came from Janet. Janet has never displayed anything to me other than a good heart and integrity. The arrangements Patrice created were primarily used. Later when new arrangements were required, Eric Daniels (keyboardist) was usually the genius behind those. People were getting credit and holding titles they didn't deserve.

I've now listened to all three, and very much looking forward to a session on working with MJ, how he was different than Janet, how rehearsals and touring might have run differently, did you find same 'personality issues' working with his team. I think you were VERY RIGHT to tell the MD you would not correct the drummer. That was waaayyyy out of line for him. After all, his job title was musical DIRECTOR -- so his job is to DIRECT. Generally speaking, in all work environments there are people who, due to character flaws, will CHOOSE -- consciously or unconsciously -- to throw a wrench into the harmony of the workplace, and can affect the outcome if the behaviour is not stemmed immediately. These folks are not team players. Would love to hear you drill deeper into the minutia of what makes a successful touring artist; what average work day is like in rehearsal, and on tour,;what HABITS do you cultivate that make you successful, both on and off tour. Loved hearing you refer to GOD as the provider, and would like to know more about how you nurture that relationship as an artist, and a man. Thanks for these videos. I think they are useful for those who want to up their game professionally and personally!
I try to believe there's good in everyone... But I just didn't see it in him. it's No secret that he and I were not buddies. I honestly feel like I can get along with anyone unless they choose to not get along with me. Sometimes, I wondered if it was jealousy, control issues or something else. Not sure of percentage but definitely more than The Rhythm Nation Tour, There was a lot of full out dancing on those tours. Ballads were live. But isn't it funny that Today it's totally accepted for Artist to have their lead vocal supporting...
Yes, I give Vocal lessons daily to clients from all over the world. After touring and being the Vocal Coach on 2 MTV P DIDDY Show and the Vocal Coach on NBC’s The Voice, I went back to my private practice and Loving it!
This is not meant to be a criticism because I really love these stories, but is there a reason your keep rapid cutting the video while you're speaking? I'm just finding it distracting every time I see an edit/cut while you're mid-sentence. Maybe this is just an editing style I'm not used to.
Sometimes I may have stuttered a bit, other times I tend to go on in depth more than I want so I cut out certain parts. And lastly trying to cut the overall video down wherever I can because its just too long. Thanks gor your comment

This series is great. As someone who has seen every tour she's had, 1 thing I can remember is you were always so sweet when I'd see you. And the love you gave my baby sister (whose crush on you was MASSIVE) from the stage in Summer 94 at the Blockbuster Pavillion (out in Devore).... Thank you for that. This was an awesome video!!!!! Since you joined, could you give us insight into why Janet didn't perform as much on tv as she did the other tours? I'm wishing she did "If" more than once and they may pop up at a performance in another country or something.... Like I'm JUST seeing footage of her doing Rhythm Nation and Miss You Much and they're all overseas.

Omgsh I came across a Rene Elizondo interview on RUclips and I kind of skipped around, it was crazy cuz I landed on the Janet part so I didn’t have to listen to him for the whole interview. lol Anyway,it was kind of sad how he described first meeting Janet because the focus was how it led him to writing 36 songs, directing videos, traveling etc. and then he briefly said “and Janet and I were married as everyone knows ” 🤦🏽♀️ Looking forward to pt. 3 tomorrow 👏🏼

Love your behind the scenes of Janet tour. Janet is and has always been my queen so I love the stories. Do we ever find out what happened to Patrice? And i can’t wait to hear more about rene! I was front row for many of the shows i attended because of rene. Sounds like he was jealous that Jan liked u so much! I’m also happy to hear Janet was kind. Always hear that but it’s nice to hear still.
Rene was a control freak and a manipulator in my opinion. He was a jerk to many people, I was just one he couldn't control. I'm glad you got front seats!!! You must have had great energy and was good for the cameras. I did think that was a great idea! That was his opportunity to show off his position and feel like a star. ...in my opinion. LOL! that's a really good question as to why they let her go, did yal ever find out? It was actually surprising to me to find out that she was the original MD in the first place. I know Rex Salas was the tour MD once it kicked off. I have SOOOO many questions about this because I've been intrigued with the janet. tour since I was a kid in 93. Were the song arrangements that yal actually used for the show the same ones that Patrice created, or did they get changed? I'm totally shocked to hear what you said about Rene as well, because every interaction that I had with him as a fan was always amazing, and have only heard similar stories to mine as well. Do you have anything as far as pics/videos from the production rehearsals? I would soooo love to see them since very little is shared bout this tour since she never put it out for a retail release 🙄 I know a fan leaked the audio from the rehearsal sessions a few years ago and yal sounded great. Most of all, thank you so much for posting these two vids and sharing with the fans. You didn't have to, but you shared a lot.

@@NastyBrkdwn I'll just say this, I honestly don't think it was a decision that came from Janet. Janet has never displayed anything to me other than a good heart and integrity. The arrangements Patrice created were primarily used. Later when new arrangements were required, Eric Daniels (keyboardist) was usually the genius behind those. People were getting credit and holding titles they didn't deserve.

I've now listened to all three, and very much looking forward to a session on working with MJ, how he was different than Janet, how rehearsals and touring might have run differently, did you find same 'personality issues' working with his team. I think you were VERY RIGHT to tell the MD you would not correct the drummer. That was waaayyyy out of line for him. After all, his job title was musical DIRECTOR -- so his job is to DIRECT. Generally speaking, in all work environments there are people who, due to character flaws, will CHOOSE -- consciously or unconsciously -- to throw a wrench into the harmony of the workplace, and can affect the outcome if the behaviour is not stemmed immediately. These folks are not team players.
Would love to hear you drill deeper into the minutia of what makes a successful touring artist; what average work day is like in rehearsal, and on tour,;what HABITS do you cultivate that make you successful, both on and off tour. Loved hearing you refer to GOD as the provider, and would like to know more about how you nurture that relationship as an artist, and a man. Thanks for these videos. I think they are useful for those who want to up their game professionally and personally!

No that’s not true. We did have two sub dancers for a minute. A young lady and a guy.

I try to believe there's good in everyone... But I just didn't see it in him. it's No secret that he and I were not buddies. I honestly feel like I can get along with anyone unless they choose to not get along with me. Sometimes, I wondered if it was jealousy, control issues or something else. I definitely couldn't take it personally, he was a jerk to many. He just didn't like they I gave not one damn about him nor whose dude he was...

Out of curiosity what % of lead vocals were live during the show?
Not sure of percentage but definitely more than The Rhythm Nation Tour, There was a lot of full out dancing on those tours. Ballads were live. But isn't it funny that Today it's totally accepted for Artist to have their lead vocal supporting...

Yes, I give Vocal lessons daily to clients from all over the world. After touring and being the Vocal Coach on 2 MTV P DIDDY Show and the Vocal Coach on NBC’s The Voice, I went back to my private practice and Loving it!
I haven’t spoken to Janet in a few years.
This is not meant to be a criticism because I really love these stories, but is there a reason your keep rapid cutting the video while you're speaking? I'm just finding it distracting every time I see an edit/cut while you're mid-sentence. Maybe this is just an editing style I'm not used to.
Sometimes I may have stuttered a bit, other times I tend to go on in depth more than I want so I cut out certain parts. And lastly trying to cut the overall video down wherever I can because its just too long. Thanks gor your comment
