I love how Rene sees the best/beauty (and potential) in everyone/everything, and how he doesn't have anything negative to say about anyone....very humble and appreciative.
First and foremost I didn't like the fact that he was even secretly married to my boo Janet from the beginning! LoL Apparently he inserted himself into her life and somewhat helped to shape and mold her career. However, the stunt he pulled when they decided to divorce was whack! Like so many other men who are married to superstars (a'la kendu Isaac's & Mary j Blige) they wanna rip off their ex-wives and take more than they came into the relationship with! I don't respect men like this. I think Janet gave Renee (along with Justin Timberlake AND other men in her life) Waaay too much grace in her documentary special! God bless Janet for being a strong woman in the end 👑💪🏾❤️🙏🏾❤️🙏🏾❤️🙏🏾
He didn't just "somewhat help" her. He really was a major creative force in her career. He co-wrote and co-produced every single song on Rhythm Nation through the Velvet Rope album. He helped her conceptualize every tour. He suggested Janet choose Tina as her lead choreographer. Janet acknowledged in an interview in 1997 that he did all things without taking writing credits, and she finally added his name in the credits on "Velvet Rope". Janet owes a HUGE portion of her success to him. Her creativity level took a major hit after they split up. I love Janet and will always be a fan, but he deserved a lot more money than he got in the divorce.
@@hutch1197 Yada yada yada... You can discount it all you want, but you're just denying it because of your blind stanning for Janet. Why should someone dedicate their life to the success of another person and then walk away with a fraction of the empire he helped build. I honestly don’t like the way he tried to vicariously live through Janet Jackson. Yes, he helped her creative process to an extent but honestly it just seemed like he wanted to be as famous as she was.
Latoya Jackson had the same problem with her manager/ husband Jack Gordon as well. Maybe it’s the way these Jackson siblings were raised ??? Not that I’m blaming any of them.
