Lisbon Lemon:
• Origin: Believed to have originated in Portugal.
• Tree Characteristics: The Lisbon lemon tree is more vigorous and upright with a denser canopy.
• Thorns: Typically has more thorns compared to Eureka.
• Fruit: The fruit is slightly more oval and has a smoother skin. It is also known to be more cold-hardy.
• Production: Tends to have a higher yield and can produce fruit throughout the year with peak seasons in winter and spring.
Eureka Lemon:
• Origin: Originated in California.
• Tree Characteristics: The Eureka lemon tree has a more open, spreading growth habit.
• Thorns: Generally has fewer or no thorns.
• Fruit: The fruit is usually more textured with a rougher skin. Eureka lemons often have a higher juice content.
• Production: Produces fruit more consistently throughout the year, with no specific peak season, making it a popular choice for continuous production.
