Wow, I didn't know that at all. I'm planning to dive deeper into how Frequency Modulation works. It would be really cool to create my own desired sounds. Thanks again for today!
Bravo! Thanks for reminding us of this incredibly fertile playground. I’ve found it hugely instructive when playing with EFM1 to use an oscilloscope (the free Signalizer is great) so I can see what I’m actually doing to that carrier sine wave in real time. It can also be helpful to turn off the fixed carrier frequency, and to remember that even just a little FM depth, at just one or two harmonics, can go a very long way toward reproducing some legendary old synth sounds.
Wow, thanks for pointing this synth out, think I'd subconsciously screened it out as some sort of legacy thing! Loving the 70s dystopian film vibes it triggers.
Never bothered to look at this synth before. Much appreciated.
Thanks Andrew. It's full of surprises!

You're welcome!
Underrated synth that I use a lot for randomly generated FX sounds and metallic percussion. Would love to see more on this
Absolutely - a secret weapon! I'll definitely do more on the EFM1 in the future.

Hi Dan. You're absolutely right. Infinite variation available via an unassumingly small feature set. It's a gem, this synth. Glad you're enjoying it.

It's a goodie, DP. I think you'll love it.
A lot of highly underrated features in Logic. There's more to it than Alchemy? LOL. Thanks!
There sure are! New episodes every Wednesday to explore features well known and less familiar.
@@jonobuchananmusic Thanks!
I've been trying to learn the stock synths so this has come at a great time!
Great. More in-depth looks at Logic's instrument suite to come in future episodes.
Great video as always! I’m looking forward to layering this over some aggressive basslines.
Oh yes. They'll be all the richer for it!
Toys that I didn't know I had...
😂
Always fun to discover new toys... ; )
