Great advice to rent first! We rented for 3 winters and then purchased a home. Being from Alaska, we love the winters, especially that it never gets dark until after 5pm even in December.
Your videos are really informative and Montana just looks gorgeous. I'm seriously thinking about emigrating from Germany with my family in a few years and moving to Montana. This beautiful state combines pretty much everything I want from my living environment.
Prices going up again…incredible. One of the most unusual times for the housing market, but more frustrating for the buyers, I would say. Especially those of us that love Montana. Happy New Year 😊
Love watching your videos. I bought land in Rexford (West Kootenai) a year ago. I’ve learned a lot about Montana from you and your videos. Keep up the good work. Tony
Bought in Flathead county in August ‘23. Hoping to retire and live a peaceful life until my last days -with my wife, of course. Oh, I’ve got to build a house first
i recently found out i have a family member who lives on the western side of montana, i should ask him how things have changed over the years too, im sure hes seen alot. i also wasnt expecting to discover that
I personally wish all of these out of staters would quit buying land and moving here. It’s bad enough in the summer and in 10 years Montana will be unrecognizable from the other states but instead all of these out of staters want to come in and ruin it. It’s funny because all of these people watch Yellowstone or see some videos or TikTok and all of a sudden want to move to Montana. It’s such a joke and it’s frustrating watching everything changing
I totally freaking agree with you! Hate all the outta staters buying up all our land and making it so those that actually call this home can't find a house and end up being homeless because of them!!!!! So frustrating
It's funny, you see this in essentially every video about states to move to. I'm from low-middle income Connecticut, all anyone complains about is people who work in New York moving further up Connecticut to live somewhere cheaper. Vermont, New Hampshire, Maine, Idaho, Florida, Arizona, Nevada, Utah, Texas, even Georgia and the Carolinas. Everyone is complaining about everyone moving. Funny thing is, over 80% of states have had population growth, and Montana isn't even in the top 10
Say before buying a place u said to rent Most places don't allow pets How are the rentals for that Also can u tell me some of the Better areas to live My kids are all grown & I'm a single person
Do you guys expect societal or political changes with the growth? I hear more and more this is already happening. Interested on your take, if you care to share.
It has definitely changed things. The political leanings haven't changed that much since most people who move here are trying to escape the big cities and the problems. With all of the new population, we have gained a Congressman and an electoral vote.

Decided not to move but visit 5 months every year. 😂
What played in to your decision to not move
@@jm-xg7lm Iowa no longer taxes retirement income. Everything is much more affordable.
The background of your intro...is it new construction groundwork that you mention?
I'm from FL so it reminds me of boat slips.
Enjoy your videos.⛵
Those are boat slips, I'm at the edge of Whitefish Lake during the intro.

Has the length of fires seasons increased over the years?
