Well-articulated and clear-cut performance of the three beautiful pieces by D. Scarlatti. Thanks for sharing!

Scott Ross' Scarlatti just never flies rhythmically - it is very staid playing. Antidote to his K57: try Claude Bertrand and his accordéon: ruclips.net/video/bhvPJNGjiLc/видео.html. His playing is playful and astute, without being vulgar. - Well, K57 is a little musical carnaval, with some Scott Joplin in the wings mm. 85 ff. Some Scarlatti sonatas transfer surprisingly well to the accordéon.

I think Mr. Ross had the Baroque view of Scarlatti, and missed out on the expressive, rhetorical aspect of this composer that connects him to the preclassical.
