I'm not a silicone gal. Never been. So happy to find out the facts! I bought some in the beginning and used it maybe 3 times and just didn't like the results and all the work afterwards. You ladies are gorgeous and awesome and very knowledgeable. Love learning from you!

It's GREAT to put a face to the voice! Good to see you! I also don't like using silicone oil but found that coconut and baobab hair treatment oil works well and is much easier to clean.

Yeh.... hands up for the no silicone girls!!!! I just used zinc white as a swipe..... the heaviest paint from golden I could find.... amazing cells. You gotta give it a go Cathleen x
Thank you for all the great info. When i first started, just about 3 months ago, i always used silicone. I love cells and was afraid I wouldnt get them without silicone. But i got sick of it quickly and not using it now. I may again at some point but Im not right now. Love this painting too.
Fresco, thank you. If you enjoy the effects silicone give you, then use it. I just worry about the long term effect on your painting. Happy Painting Fresco 😊🎨🖼
WOW. WOW. And just WOW. Those CELLS!!!!! That is bloody gorgeous. I loved listening to Courtney and what she had to say about the paint and the silicone etc. That was so very interesting. Chemically it made absolute sense. I don't doubt at all what Courtney said but it also makes me wonder why some pourers are unable to obtain cells even with using the Floetrol. Maybe they need the gac too? I don't know as i am not yet a pourer but an avid sponge getting as much info as i can. I do wonder if the Floetrol in Australia is made differently than the Floetrol in the US. Either way i looooooved that swiping and the colours and so many cells!! Wonderful as usual. Trumi hello. My paints are very thin. I use the fluid paints and my PM is thin as well. I have done this swipe with the same colors three times. It’s one of my favorites. Make sure your base coat is thin as well. Give it another go 😊😊😊😊😊

Yeh.... hands up for the no silicone girls!!!! I just used zinc white as a swipe..... the heaviest paint from golden I could find.... amazing cells. You gotta give it a go Cathleen x

Thank you for all the great info. When i first started, just about 3 months ago, i always used silicone. I love cells and was afraid I wouldnt get them without silicone. But i got sick of it quickly and not using it now. I may again at some point but Im not right now. Love this painting too.

WOW. WOW. And just WOW. Those CELLS!!!!! That is bloody gorgeous. I loved listening to Courtney and what she had to say about the paint and the silicone etc. That was so very interesting. Chemically it made absolute sense. I don't doubt at all what Courtney said but it also makes me wonder why some pourers are unable to obtain cells even with using the Floetrol. Maybe they need the gac too? I don't know as i am not yet a pourer but an avid sponge getting as much info as i can. I do wonder if the Floetrol in Australia is made differently than the Floetrol in the US. Either way i looooooved that swiping and the colours and so many cells!! Wonderful as usual. I tried this using the same products. Mine came out muddy. The trick is definitely in the paint mixing. Plus these women are truly talented 🥰
Trumi hello. My paints are very thin. I use the fluid paints and my PM is thin as well. I have done this swipe with the same colors three times. It’s one of my favorites. Make sure your base coat is thin as well. Give it another go 😊😊😊😊😊
