I had the opportunity to meet and talk with Michael several times over the last 30 years working on several political campaigns. I always admired his straightforward and honest approach to journalism in the state. I remember asking him about why NJ and he said he liked being the big fish in the little pond. A real class act that will be missed.

Michael Aron was the consummate journalist, the dean of the NJ Statehouse Bureau. Pleasure knowing and learning from him. He will be greatly missed.
