I'm primarily a guitarist but I do percussion too. I notice no discernable difference in enjoyment between the two. They're mostly very different. Sure, there's rhythm guitar that follows the same lines as percussion but going ham on guitar and going ham on drums gives me the same amount of enjoyment. Some of the most memorable times I felt completely at peace was playing guitar and I had a perma grin the whole time. Unfortunately, I was forced out after some dude with a fancy college degree showed back up. I'd been leading music for over 15 years (half my life at the time) and all it took was his fancy college piece of paper for everyone to forget what I'd contributed and mostly never got paid to do for so long. And I haven't touched any of my guitars since 2017. It was devastating. He put me on djembe and ordered me around like I was trash right before I was totally forgotten about. I played it so much trying so hard to impress him just so I could stay around that my hands were one solid bruise. Wasn't enough and into the trash bin I went. I miss it. Haven't felt peace, assurance, and pure joy ever since. But it's better not to be where you're not wanted or appreciated anyway. Took me years to get ok with that. I still stand by teaching myself guitar and not putting myself into a box by making it a college driven career. If I'd gone to college for it, all the creativity would have been drained out of me. I can read chords but not music but I also play, or at least, played by ear and added whatever flare was needed when it was needed. Those times will still be forever special to me.

To have that many people playing and following that conductor, the drums sounding like waves crashing in the ocean, the diversity of the players, this made my heart race with excitement and joy!!! One of the best things I have seen and am sooo jealous I wasn't there to see and hear this first hand!!!!!
my god props to the AUDIO TECHS for managing and recording all those amazing sounds!
Wow! Awesome to hear all those drum voices all in one place. Pretty cool to see moms, dads, granny’s, grandpas, even little kiddos out there drumming a heartbeat! Would have been cool to visit the Netherlands just for that.
You can try to organize it in your country. This is medicine
That must have been some afternoon. I bet they are still living it - I mean all those amateur drummers - kids/grandads. FABULOUS!
Looks fun!! Golden earring drummer, Radar Love! Loved it. A lot of percussion there.
That looks like a LOT of fun, and hard work too! To get all those drummers etc. on the same page and organized. AWESOME and very ENTERTAINING!
Bravo to the months of rehearsals went behind this one day show! Amazingly excuted. Thank you youtube for keepin us sane wid such videos in times of pandemic🙏🏻
Always wanted to play drums, now I know why. Marvelous and look at those smiles! Thank You! Love it!
I'll tell you what...if this don't get you excited--you're dead! I love it. As for those 1,200 dislikes--they didn't make drummer in the school band.
This is one of the most amazing things I’ve watched on RUclips, I’ve been playing the drums for close to 30yrs now & my god I wish I could be part of something like this before I pass on. Something like this NEEDS to be done in Australia 🇦🇺
So do it ! Pull it together yourself !
❤
❤
This is just beyond amazing!! I'm sharing this with all my music friends and who doesn't love classic Golden Earring? That was an incredible ending!! Will be watching this again and again! 🤩✌️❤️

It is always very impressive to have so many players doing something like this
Amazing. So much happiness in one place. On the beach with salt air and love. Children and adults together sending praise to our Lord. I loved this so much. ♥
One of the most brilliant things I've ever seen. Speaking words of wisdom: Let people be free and keep creating.
Coolest thing I've seen in a long time! Caught myself wanting to jump up from my kitchen table (also desk) to cheer numerous times! So very awesome!
It's a Saturday in Texas 2020 , 2nd beer and I am blown away. This made my day. Many speeding tickets Radar Love.
Best song of them...❤🌎
Awesome show. I'd go to it & listen. It's really great to see so many people participating in such a concert. Wonderful.

Now we know where to get a drummer when we need one. GREAT JOB.
It's simply incredible to see a spectacle like this, not only for the ability and quality in it,but....happiness comes in my hart while watching all these people also coming from different parts of the world ,with different cultures, playng music all toghether and giving each one theyr contribute with different accents coming from theyr different history.......also if under a bad control whitch too often make many of us hate and kill and go in absurd wars...in this world...human race shows how much can be great !!!!
Yup! Divide and Conquer/NOT...We The People...Unite!!! The true Rhthym of Life.

Yes
I feel I am in the ocean of music.
Love and best wishes from India.
Wow! The sound must have gone right through you, if you were there, from your feet to your head. How amazingly cool! And I love the old rockers and post-toddlers enjoying the same event!
😃...I absolutely loved this ! Well done all who took part ..Brilliant 👏
This is awesome, I love the feeling of drums vibrating throughout your ears and body when in person. Lucky people
WOOOOWWW.... couldn't stop watching, even middle of the night and work in a few hours. This is really amazing. Heard as loud as my stomach could feel the beat. I love it. Thanks for that video...
Just need 2,000 bass players and they'd have a helluva rhythem section! Ha ha ... seriously, this is great.
What about 2000 tuna players? Now that would be a bass section!
@@danbytp ba da tss that was a good one haha
I was there about 40 years ago. Worked on a NATO antenna near there, still can't pronounce the town name of the town. If you can, most likely you're dutch. I love this video.
Wow! That's great for you to share that experience here now! Feels like connection through time and space! 😊
During WW2 if you could not pronounce it you were proven to be a German.

Fantastic
I was at the 1st USAFAD in Wesel, Germany and we went to Scheveningen, to the beach on a fairly regular basis. It wasn't that long of a drive to the ocean...
Wow! Wow! So stinking COOL! Love it! The best part is they are all having a blast! ❤️❤️
So amazing! Had to share this magnificent event! Thank you! Marvelous! The human spirit in a drum beat! Watching post COVID! Knowing that the world is so missing these wonderful gatherings!
Thanks maestro!!
Wow my ears are tingling with delight. At first i heard bees buzzing, then waves. The blending and lower and rising tempos were enchanting. Well done. Nice to see so many various drummers from around the world all in one place. .
Do you know how bad i would have loved to be there. I love percussion. I just love it that there’s kids drumming right along with the adults. This proves that you are never old to play drums either.
Totally agree!
Isn't it awesome to see all the children loving, living, and enjoying life? How I envy the upbringing. All I ever got told was " girls don't play drums", end of conversation.
Not even 4 minutes in and I'm over here crying.... this is beautiful, wish I could participate in something like this 🙌 🪘
Love seeing the best parts of humanity like this. Gives me hope not all is lost...
Everyone together at all age groups under the one rythem... .Amazing.
The greatest show I ever watched! Highly recommend. Everyone of all ages participated, this is so good. Congrats to the Netherlands, initiating and hosting such wonderful event. THE BEST 👍👍👍🙌👏
The drums sound like an ocean and the sticks sounds like seashells. It’s just awesome.

What a fun event!!!! Big marks for the filming and closeups on the kids in the zone. Great stuff for wake up sessions for my primary school kiddies.
