Why would people leave dogs in a “Dungeon” dogs should be free running around anywhere in the house. they shouldn’t be left in a room for 15 hours isolated alone

Its an incredibly extreme and unfortunate situation for the dog. But people have a right to make jokes about a situation which makes them uncomfortable. Just the same as that dog has the right to roam more freely and be more intellectually and ohysically challenged than he was before vicotia entered the situation and trained the people how to be owners
I can't stand people like this.. they get a dog for the image.. then just leave it at home for hours while they go out.. And they get surprised why the dog messes up the house...

Well you only should neuter when your dog has problems. Unneutered dogs are fine. Never neutered my dogs and they are amazing.

And, of course, he eventually ended up in court with the dog who did wind up biting someone. I know the judge quarantined the dog for 6 months, but I don't know what happened after that. Poor dog.

DUDEEEEE I hate that, like is a freaking dog they are going to bark. I have 2 dogs the girl dog barks A LOT and by watching Victoria I manage to control her.
Barking is communication for dogs, it can tell you a lot about how they feel. I love how Victoria teaches dogs that they can bark at the door once or twice and then they should stop, our dog always barked at the door but now that I say ''That's enough! Thank you'' she actually stops and she learned it very fast! I don't like the people in our neighbourhood that get upset when my dog barks, they say I'm the bad owner but it tells me they don't know dog language that well.
He’s frustrated barking and not knowing why how’s he being cruel that’s a natural human response when we don’t know the problem
This was maybe the most difficult segment of Victoria's show I've ever watched. It's hard to believe that this guy will keep the dog throughout the course of its life.
He doesn't. After Victoria leaves, the wannabe tough guy doesn't follow her instructions and the dog ends up biting somebody.

this is exactly why Pitbulls and other big dogs have such a bad name. cuz people like this buy those kinds of dogs and don't give them the time or effort

i feel bad for my dog when i have to leave for school , which is seven hours max , with my dad checking in multiple times while he works , with toys and bones AND the tv on. i can't imagine how eric allows casper alone with nothing for almost 13 hours

Victoria deserves 5 million subscribers because she is helping dogs that need training and if she is scared of one she still does it and helping a dog shelter to look better that just makes me happy.

For anyone that doesn’t already know this, after the show the guy ended up having to go to court after the dog bite someone else because Eric couldn’t train his dog well enough. Victoria even wrote about it on her blog but luckily the dog wasn’t put down and just ended up being neutered
Thanks for letting us know! I wish they did updates way down the line. It's hard to tell how much owners stick to the training & recommendations in the long term.

Yeah, I can't believe that he didn't make the connection between her looking upset and him arriving for a scheduled meeting with her a full hour late. Blows my mind.
It especially pissed me off when they said he could've left work in time, but instead chose to stay longer "to make more money". Time is money - and he just wasted a full hour of Victoria's time...and she is a professional helping him train his dog for FREE. You would think having a trained dog would end up saving him money, given the damage that dog does to the house.
To be honest I'd be upset to if someone leaves a dog locked in a 'dungeon' for FLIPPIN 15 HOURS like bruh

One of my favorite episodes, cause it shows not only how much effect Victoria has on dogs, but on humans as well.

I find it fascinating how people actually believe that neutering is something you have to do or a male dog will misbehave. Castrating a male dog is not something one should do without looking for every other option, it is much much more risk involved when it comes to behavior problem than with bitches.
My dog isn't fixed on purpose (told not to by the shelter and the vet) and he's fine. I'm not planning on breeding him, but it's better for him to not be fixed? If you're responsible it's no problem

I got my dog not fixed to. But now i have to because he has big problems with his prostata.
I have only a small dog. He spends every day at least 2 hours outside + time he spends in our yard. Me and my husband work remotely different days, so he can get outside in the middle of the day and does not need to be alone most of the days. We never grate our dog or lock him in a bathroom etc, as it is illegal in our country anyway.
It takes lot of dedication to own even a small dog. Please really consider before buying one.

When this was filmed it was in NY/NJ area
It’s the accent. It’s mostly people from the East Coast that talk like that and they talk loud too over there. I’m from the Midwest so I have more of a Midwest accent and my voice is quieter. I work with a lady with the East Coast accent and she drives me nuts with how loud her voice is and with some of her pronunciations.
Because that's how it's pronounced. Duh! Especially in Georgia...Go DAWGS!
cause "its me or the dog" was filmed in england and then in new york-ish area. that accent is largely from italian american influence in the area and ended up just becoming a regional accent.
@@rayrayvgcftwMostly true but I'm a transplant from upstate New York very close to Canada and I live in Kansas City MO now and I don't have a typical Yankee accent but I'll admit I'm loud sometimes and my Midwest husband makes fun of me sometimes when he says I have an Upstate Yankee accent mixed with some Canadian accent too lol
The dog ended up being taken in 2012(this was filmed in 2011) after the dog bit someone on the arm. Dog wasn’t put down but instructed to be neutered and to see a board certified behavioral professional and the dog was placed in a shelter. Can’t find anything recent tho like if the dog was returned to his owner& rehabilitated or put down.
That’s so sad 😞 I can’t say I’m surprised just based on the irresponsible owner, but I hate that the dog suffered the consequences of that ahole’s actions

I prefer complete episodes. These truncated episodes tell disjointed, fragmented, confusing, incomplete stories.
The one above suggests that toys are all the training that the dog needed which isn’t true.

15 HOURS?! My dog asks to go outside to potty every 2 or 3. Then again, all his life, at least 1 human has been at the house with him to let him out every time.
I think this is one of my favourite episodes (all of Casper) because of how dedicated and relentless Victoria is for the sake of this beautiful Presa Canario. Casper is a gorgeous dog and could've had an amazing life if he wasn't stuck with such an appalling owner like Eric. And that's another thing, Eric claims that going out to party isn't his life anymore. He's 20 years old in this episode and he USED to spend all night partying and drinking with friends? I thought the States' drinking age was 21 XD
He got that dog because he wanted to look tough, when in truth he's a boy who can't manage his responsibilities. That dog needs 3 walks a day + playtime. He probably went right back to neglecting the dog the moment Victoria and film crew left.
That dungeon is basically like being in solitary confinement and studies have shown that being in solitary confinement can literally drive humans, a social species, insane. Dogs are also a social species, so he is basically torturing that dog by locking it up in a featureless room with no enrichment and no social interaction.
Dang, Victoria can handle every dog she's the best!

I have a pitbull rescue. I gave her basic training within the first month. She has a problem with pooping In the house when I'm gone cause she had high anxiety. Sure I get frustrated, in fact, I have OCD, but I still show her love and respect. I give her ice water when she is hot and sweaters when she's cold. I love her and would never want her to be stressed or sad.
You know it's bad when Victoria stands in the same position for an hour ready to glare at you in disappointment...

I remember that the people living next to my grandparent's house had bought a large dog but never stayed with it much, left it home all day alone and when they did come home they yelled at it for misbehaving even if they never really trained it. Last year it died of a heart attack, and I hope they never get another dog if they're going to treat it like they did with him.

So sad, there was a news article a year after filming this which said Casper bit someone and the police had to take him... Apparently the judge decided not to euthanize him and instead said he had to get neutered and see an animal behaviorist. Not sure what actually happened to the poor dog though.

Victoria. It definitely looks like you should make a video regarding the pros of neutering and spaying dogs. I know we have several responsible breeders as well as professional breeders, but there are still people who disregard the medical risks of unfixed dogs/cats as well as the occasional behavioral risks and societal risks incorrect/irresponsible breeding causes.
I don’t get how his family allows the man to treat the dog like that. You just have to teach the dog but instead, you lock Casper?! Victoria has a right to get mad

As someone from a country with a very different (and honestly much more humane) culture around dogs, please can someone explain to me how American can leave their dogs (sometimes in a cage) for 8-13 hours every day and still believe that they have the time or money for a pet?

The fact he had this dog locked in a room with ZERO CHEW TOYS! Id go insane! I only crate my dog for bedtime and thats it, to keep her from eating dangerous objects or getting into something she shouldn't. She sleeps right through it. If you need to crate/confine (in a room ect) your dog when you work thats fine but you NEED to exercise them to burn off all that frustration and pent up energy from being confined. Yes they have playpens for babys to keep them confined when youre busy but a baby dosent need tons of exercise to keep themselves stimulated. That dog sould of been sent off to another place (foster/trainer) that would of neutered him and gotten him the training he needed to live a safe happy life. The fact he wanted to take his dog who he cant even control them breed him to a random female of his breed and pop some puppys out for some cash is extremely irresponsible. I hate punks who get big distructive natured dogs then get cold feet when they grow up and cant be controlled.

Something's called a crate. You put your dog in there when leaving the house or at night so the dog dosen't destroy your house or pee and poop
