Fairly good compilation of "VFR" V4s but you are forgetting the most iconic and first VFR the VF1000R which started the gear driven cams for Hondas V-Four VFR lineup. If your going to include the cross runner you might have looked at the Sabre V65 and Magna V65 and others because of their relation to the VFR motor development especially the iconic VTR1000SP2 RC51.
Great video. VFR's have always been my favourite bikes. I've had two NC30's and they were brilliant (And very unreliable) machines. The VFR800FI was great and sounded amazing but the early fuel injection was somewhat frustrating.
The NC30s were mainly grey imports too so I very much feel your pain trying to find parts for it ! What went wrong on yours ? I'm gonna assume electrical shit like regrecs ?
@@UrgetoRide My first one was a repsol replica. It was definitely a race bike put back to road spec. Literally everything electrical broke and went through a reg/rec once a month. The fibre glass fairings also snapped off on the motorway. Second NC30 I had was much better but had issues with sticking brakes, reg/rec (again), steering head bearings, speedo, aged plastics, and my personal favourite, an electrical fire. I was 18 at the time and I would definitely not make the same purchasing decisions I did back then. That repsol bike got so much attention (Not that I seek it) from kids and old men that used to ride them back in the 90's.
@@101andytoll101 Hahaha thanks for the insights, gave me a good chuckle. Sounds like a lot of grief ! I hope it was worth it, tbh super rancorous me is surprised you still spoke highly of them and said they were excellent.. I would still be swearing at them to this day. Was it easy to sell them ?
@@UrgetoRide The NC30 was my dream bike. Had a lot of great times out in Wales on them. They were dead easy to sell due to being so rare. Did loose a bit of money on them due to the aforementioned issues. Totally worth it though but never having another one!
Really ? What was wrong with it ? The VTEC gens are not necessarily my favourites but there a millions out there that are hypermiled. Also I guess the hybrid supersport/touring seating position can be off-putting to some
I have a vtec 6th gen and it is the most reliable bik I have owned, when you look after it. Electrics are fixed when you add an extra ground cable o your battery, no hidden drainage issues in th past 20000km I have ridden
you forgot what 4 gen has 5" rear wheel, 3,5,6,8 gen has 5.5" rear wheel Also, the 4th generation has other Keihin carburetors. Carburetor blocks are the same as on CB400SF \ CBR600F \ CBR1100xx. For 2-3 generations, Keihin carburetor blocks are similar to Steed400 \ Bros \ Shadow750\400
ERRATUM 1:28 ; I meant to say shared the same headlight 'design', not exactly the same.
The 4th gen is the "best of breed", the last 750 is the ultimate endgame as far as VFR's go, it's an universal and undisputable truth ahahaha

Great video. Please publish more!
You got it ! Stay tuned matie
Were the crossrunners/tourers ever sold in America? I don't think so, but if they weren't imma save so I can import one, adv vfr sounds heavenly.
Ahhhh, classic and modern Hondas. The things of legend.
You know how to explain.
Good job

Fantastic video sir 👏 I want them all!!!!
I think than the first one has the best sound in the video

@@101andytoll101 Holy shit you got god's racetrack next door then if you live in/near Wales. Perfect grounds for pocket rockets like the 400
Former '90 and '98 owner here. Hear my words:
We've got to go back...
My 1997 is my favorite bike, i like it even more than my 2014 cb1100.
Love to ride and have my own bike
すげーいい音!👍👍👍👍
ホンダのV4サウンドは最高!
Good video. I had a vfr800 VTEC. The most unreliable Honda I've ever owned. Sounded good but it felt heavy and awkward.

@@BKLYF Any jerkiness to the VTEC after 20k km ? I trust the mechanism is very durable

Thanks for all the details ! I tried to keep it snappy and to the major changes so I'm afraid some things slipped through the net
Can you do a video about BMW bikes 😋
