Heritage Restoration and Design Studio designs, installs, and restores church interiors.
Our Lady of Prompt Succor Church, in Sulphur, Louisiana, was built in the 1980s. The parish wanted to say the traditional, Latin rite Mass, but their sanctuary was not equipped for that purpose. Heritage Restoration was called in to completely redesign the sanctuary.
When designing any church interior, we make certain that each aspect reflects the significance of the sacred liturgies. Heritage designed elements for: a sacrificial altar, semi-octagonal communion rail, side shrines, pulpit, pew frontals, Italian tabernacle door, and a twenty-two foot tall French style high altar.
The sanctuary restoration required ten statues including a crucifixion scene, St. Joseph, two adoring angels, and the Holy Spirit with a ray burst. The original statues of the parish’s patrons St. Peter Claver and Our Lady of Prompt Succor were designed and built from scratch. The statue of Our Lady of La Sallete was restored by HRD Studios and enthroned in a side shrine.
After the design plans were approved by the client, the components were manufactured over a period of several months.
Our artisans then installed the new sanctuary, creating a stunning transformation.
Upon completion of the restoration, the Sulphur Parishioners can now enjoy the celebration of the Novus Ordo and Extraordinary forms of the Mass.
