that little block you removed has something to do with allowing the front wheels to break away and not get shoved into the driving area in case of a front impact.
Metal parts like that in the front, sometimes are designed to break the wheels in extreme collisions. Wheels are very strong and you actually want to destroy them in a severe frontal offset /small overlap collision so they can’t intrude to passenger space.
Looks great! I just wonder how this affects the calibration for FSD and Auto Pilot. Definitely don’t want to go too crazy on MODs if you’re planning to use these features.
It looks 100 percent better with lift and look. The trimming is what we do when we buy a regular 4x4, so it's no biggie. Are you going to wrap it or leave it stainless?
the wheels have a low enough offset meaning the poke out enough to clear the upper ball joint. In this case, If a wheels offset was too low, wheel spacers can be added to space out the wheels
Do you mind sharing the wheel details then? What happens at the low ride height setting with those new links and wheels. Do you get even more rubbing? Btw, this is exactly what I've been planning to do once I pull the trigger on the truck.
@@peten6445 Links are from CybertruckCO . To be honest they werent that much of a help, i was just forced to trim a bit of the bumper and fenderliners down to avoid the rubbing
wouldn't need any software change? obviously CT have plenty of power to accommodate but as far as stats for milage or speed sensor no issue? also not voiding any warranty ? suspension , drive train ?
@ but it’s riding at a higher suspension on average now which changes the camber. Camber adjustment or shims might be necessary to prevent excessive premature wear. Probably should atleast have it measured and adjusted accordingly. In any case Teslas typically have poor alignment fresh from the factory.
@@darylfortney8081 its all within the same normal ride height , just tricks the suspension. Any camber will create uneven wear, but not premature wear. Premature wear is caused by toe

makes sense, thanks!!
Monroe thought it was to help the tire shear off quicker in the event of an offset front impact or something like that.
ruclips.net/video/BwT48KOfuSo/видео.html&si=LkNDM9PeDTPDrjJv or just a harmonic balancer.

I didn't know there was anyone who liked those wheel covers.
I'll consider myself enlightened.
Looks sick, what kind of wheels and tires are those? Also, need a video on range impact
Thanks! wheels are Eton MD039 18x9.5 +10 , tires are Nitto M/T 37x12.5r18
Keep in mind that putting CT higher means quicker wear on the drive shafts
likely negligible
Glad to see your back in my feed!
37’s look great. Post a driving video to show how much rubbing you have .
6:45 I think those are a safety feature, where those spacers push into the rim to disengage the wheel from the "truck" in the event of an accident.
what is the reason for the 37", you go off-roading or just for looks?
aesthetics, i think 35s are too small for this size truck

yep i fit 37s easy on my JT jeep, but the cybertruck requires some more attention.
I wish theirs a lift like that for the rivian
Can you show how you avoided contact between the front tire and the upper ball joint?

Looks awesome, thank you for sharing
Very sick, love those wheels.
Let us know how the rubbing gets resolved. I’ve been looking for content on putting 37s on a cybertruck. Its scarce
whats your watts per mile diff on the new tires. looks great
Are those M/T or A/T tires?. Looks good, def way better than stock!!✌🏼😎.
mud tires! 👍
I wish I can run 18 wheels with 37 on my Rivian r1t. Where did you get the links. I wonder if they have it for the Rivian?

my model 3 is able to change wheel size in the settings, but i havent figured out a way to do the same in the cybertruck
spoilers viper defender mode but still needs sideflectors
Okay 37 it is!
maybe its a steering travel limiter
Can you post a video regarding range and efficiency?
Front camber looks off. Did you also do an alignment?
no alignment, suspension geometry has not changed.

@ uneven and premature wear
@@darylfortney8081 agree to disagree👍🏼
You should get stronger hydraulic jack, if you want I got a Daytona 3 ton that I used less than 10 times
the jack pictured is also a 3ton👍

Honestly I Do Not Understand Your Thought Process 😕.
Why not replace the links at the tire shop lol
sometimes i like doing some work myself😅
Which wheels?
Eton MD039
Looks great
Naaa.
100% looks 0% function
Naw man 37s aired down to 10 psi and youll get a really by contact patch

@@abrahamdz1471 air suspension is still fully operational
exact opposite of you huh
@@SonsOfAnxiety I feel like though the Tesla truck should still have coil over suspensions because they have so much more articulation
Too bad it's useless as a truck
Too bad this was a useless comment.

@RogueSith most people use pickups nowadays as family haulers anyway. May not be able tow heavy loads but how else isn't it functional as a truck.
