Love your raw emotions 😢, I just wanna hug you, you made me tear up once again Thank you for the review I just found your channel from the Xmen 97 episodes...p.s. you need to Cosplay are Rouge 😁😉
I want Rogue's voice actress to get some sort of reward. She's had a hell of a run this season. The episode 5 work alone, adding her breakdown with Kurt and the "My man" moment. So good. Voice makes you feel her vulnerability (and irony in that).
Not so fun fact - Rogue's voice actress lost her 17 year old niece to cancer not long before recording for the series. She said on twitter that she channeled a lot of that grief into her role.
Rogue absorbs their "lifeforce", which includes memories, skills, but also their personalities, trauma, wants, etc. Way more than a mind reader, but once the effects wear off it goes away.
Yes she absorbs peoples mind and interesting fact is her super strength, flight, invulnrability comes from Captain Marvel whom she absorbed and put into a coma. It was the guilt of doing that which lead her to joining the X-men.
Those were the first time we saw a murder happening on screen (Gyrich aint dead, though) and a Hero commiting a murder herself (same thing here). This is a long way since '92.
Jadd J.A.D.D. Jadd My favourite moments are Rogue at the beginning and later with Captain America. Kurt's speech at Gambit's funeral (still stings), his speech to Rogue (I was in tears), Rogue dropping Trask, Beast, and the reporter moments and Roberto telling his mum that he's a mutant, I was so mad at the mum. It's like 'We love and accept you, but we don't want to lose money because of you, so don't show yourself to the public.' What!! It is sadly the truth for gay people wanting to come out to their families. Great series. Writers, directors, and actors are all brilliant.
Rogue can even takes their personality and emotions, making the use of her powers dangerous for her(let alone the victim). In the past, she was surly for a few days after absorbing Wolverine’s essence. Using her powers on the Hulk could just make an encounter with him even worse - two Hulks to contend with instead of one! She needed the X-men when she stole Danver’s powers because it got to the point where she couldn’t tell her thoughts and emotions from Carol’s, and she was going insane
I root for 2hours movies to soften the edges. 10 episodes of 20/30 minutes and one or two movies for the foreseeable future. They stroke it right 10/10
Hank and the reporter just like Kelly and X-Men there is a whole backstory of like 6 seasons well kind of; then the big big bad they've been dropping hints throughout 97 but unless you've read comics or explainer videos you won't know because he isn' in any movies or shows in that.
Rogue gets her powers that she's currently has from Captain Marvel,, there's a whole bunch of episodes about it and they're pretty good. She wasn't a good girl... Captain marvels currently in a coma because of it.. but yeah it's not the first time we see avengers Captain America has a pretty big episode in the originals series also.. rogues unique power is absorbing energy from others but also their memories... but her flight her strength and invulnerability comes from Captain Marvel, who she stole it from so rogue is not good , not truly
5:08 I wonder if The Avengers have formed yet as they never appeared in the original X-Men series thanks to the lack of demand for anything Avengers focused. Iron Man and Hulk both had their own shows with other members like Captain America, Black Panther, and Thor showing up as cameos but we never saw or heard mentions of The Avengers so that would be cool to explore in future episodes. The original X-Men series in its "Age of Apocalypse" timeline did showcase alternate Avengers who were hunting down mutants on behalf of the human race. This line up included Captain America, Iron Man, Wasp, Giant Man, Hercules, and Black Widow to name a few all with alternate designs. But we never saw the Avengers in the mainline Timeline.
The avengers vs X-Men almost never makes sense tho. Why would someone like Thor hunt down mutants??? Steve Rogers wouldn't either. Tony, giant man/antman and wasp, and banner would but hulk would switch sides to join the mutants. Black widow and Hawkeye would but black widow would switch sides to help mutants. Vision would not hunt down mutants since his wife is Wanda and his brother in law is pietro. Black panther would switch sides and help mutants or stay neutral
@@Mayckon.D.Colman yah but wasn't reality rewritten in spiderman tas in the season finale? Spider man actually met Stan Lee who was in canon his creator and I think had pictures of X-Men so in that series spider man knows he is a fictional character and his whole universe is by Stan Lee in the season finale?
@@Mayckon.D.Colman "You don't find the Fantastic Four in a sewer or the Avengers. Never have I seen The Avengers in a sewer or the defenders... Well maybe the Hulk" Oh shoot you were right. We can assume that the X-Men and Avengers were formed around the same time like the comics.
@@Thed538dhsk no. Spider-man just visited another Earth in which he happens to be a fictional character. In his Earth everything continues to be normal. The series finale didn't even involve his Earth at all. First he was on Scarlet Spider's Earth, then he went to the rich amoured Spider-man's Earth, then he got to the actor Spider-man's Earth (the Stan Lee one) and the series ends while he goes back to his own Earth.
Rogue takes everything from everybody including powers, knowledge, abilities, and personalities. And is if she holds on long enough, she can even cause death. For all purposes Rogue is a vampire. She has absolutely no control of her powers. Even someone whom accidently brush up against her would fall victim to Rogue mutant powers. Because of this, she always has to be conscious of the people around because she can accidently kill them,
Rogue absorbs memories and natural abilities which includes powers. If she’s not careful she can take too much from a person so she tries not to do it if she can help it and it can mean having someone else’s voice in her head. This happened after her first appearance in the comics after she absorbed too much of Ms Marvel
in case you're wondering about how many people died. in the comics 16 Million people died on the attack on Genosha. While we can't say for sure that it'll be the same number, i bet that they are going for the same kind of impact as in the comics. pretty much anyone that you didn't see survive can be assumed to be dead.
The guy Sinister is working with is named Bastion he's a mutant hating cyborg from the future. He's a Fusion of mastermold and Nimrod (a sentinel that can mimic mutant powers) He was reborn in human form using a magical object called the siege perilous. After losing his memory he was raised by a human and learned about mutants through the media and grew to despise them. Now he's travelled to the past to kill the X men.
Rogues power is to absorb the talents, powers and memories of whoever she touches, so yes in a way she read Gyrich's mind via touch, as well as absorbs the doctors medical knowledge to deliver jeans baby oops i mean madelyn
@DeashasAlwaysWatching You asked how Rogue's powers worked, her requirements as you know work on touch and the longer she touches someone the more of them she gets, like mine, personality and powers, this makes her easier to control and use powers but think first she takes powers/abilities, then their personality and lastly memories, people she tgist powers of their personality stay with her as an eco even when the powers wear off, she holds someone too long powers she takes can become permanent and kill those she touches. Then I notice that a lot of people forget that Rogue started her career as a villain and this tragic event shows an ounce of what she was, so the question you have to ask is if this is understandably a tragic and tragic event, will this make her go back to their original criminal selves ? Keep in mind she took out all the Avengers one by one by defeating the weakest one first and taking its powers and abilities and then going to the next and the next until all were defeated.

she's compensated not to worry. and she's well recognized in the community go to a convention meet her
@@Pinkielover I understand what you're getting at. I don't know what sort of awards voice actors can receive, but she deserves several for this.

i believe the actress is lenore Zann. the original Rougue voice actress from the older series!!!!!!
Yeah they should've had Storm show up to Gambit's funeral ....when it was raining ...I thought she was....RIP Gambit.
Rogue absorbs EVERYTHING about the Person just not their Physical form, unless she does not let go!!
yeah, go talk to Captain Marvel shes still in a coma
“The doctors ability to doctorize” lol you’re funny

It's awesome to see Captain America in here 👏🏿. Also I knew Magneto wasn't dead because it didn't have a funeral for him.

Rogue can't use her power as a way to *read* minds, but more of a way to *take* minds. Temporarily.
I think Bastion is going to use Xavier and Magneto to create Onslaught.
Spoilers dude!!
I'm calling it: Onslaught will be the grand finale of the entire show! :D
Thank goodness I have no idea what those words mean.
Nevermind😂
Your raw reaction are priceless and Uncanny!!!! Some of the best and true reactions of this love letter to the fans called X-men 97 season 1
