Shabbat Sermon: Rabbi Paul Yedwab on Pleasant Time Together (July 5, 2024)

During Kabbalat Shabbat services at Temple Israel (West Bloomfield, Mich.), Rabbi Paul Yedwab spoke to the various sermons he had given during Parshat Korach over the years.
In this year's iteration, Rabbi Yedwab speaks about speaking about politics. He shares that this July 4th and the events we share around it may become more of a civil war and reflect how Korach went about his discourse.
So how does one approach such loaded situation, Rabbi Yedwab asks. He responds that people undervalue simple, pleasant time together. Pleasant time spent together is truly a blessing
