Nope, it’s basically just a “preset” tone made by the American company “ WHELEN” well known for manufacturing emergency and aviation lighting solutions. in the Netherlands of the 60-70’s , mostly German pneumatic 2 tones where used. Only during the end of the 70’s , American brand “Federal signal” became highly popular with their “Twin Sonic” lightbar. It came with a build in 2 tone preset, so maybe you mean that one…
@BlackieFoxxless As far as I know. There is no new law requiring a Hi-Lo siren. All emergency vehicles in the state of New York have Wail and Yelp tones. Of course, there are optional tones as well. (Such as the phaser or powercall)
The Hi-Lo tune is not effective in asking for yield right of way in the congested traffic of NY, especially in Manhattan, I hope Mount Sinai EMS and others will switch back to their original sirens.
Love These New NYC And USA Sirens!
Love that sirens.... 🤩
Awesome collection bud 👍👌👏
0:30 isn't this like the old two tone siren in the UK? It sounds also more like the sirens we used in the 60/70s here in the Netherlands.
The UK siren is not like that completely different go look up South Wales police two tone for the iconic British siren

Great collection!
In Singapore they use Hi LO siren I love it
If I had it my way as an America, we would have two tone sirens everywhere (and smaller police cars).
Do new Mount Sinai ambulances only have a hilo siren?
@Blackie Foxless The law actually didn’t pass, I believe. FDNY’s newest trucks and engines still come with a wailing tone.

The hilo woop was terrible but the rumbler and dual sirens was greate
I love Hi lo siren
Super Video! :-)
Does mount sinai only have hi-lo siren?

To be fair the wail/yelp sirens aren't really that effective either :P
Need some better hi-lo like in Germany or Netherland, those hi-los sound urgent, this one sucks
As european the dual is boring, the americans are the best 👌
nah, other sirens european are more cooler
@@robloxturc2647 other european sirens are ridicolous...like the Dutch for example
Do we know what the new HI-LO siren is called?
@Blackie Foxxless TM lmfao. Whelen what?????
It’s a whelen
Whelen epsilon
They're European sirens.
Nailed it
European Union 2 Have USA & European Sirens.
Fun fact: we call them "bus" instead of "truck"
NOT a fan of the European-style siren on those units
@Nebula Funny thing is that those sirens are actually quite different to real european sirens.
European audible warning devices are mainly two tone air horns, not sirens.
@@craigclaassen7346 In certain countries, but there are also a lot of electronic two tone sirens.
I just can't with Sinai...
🤮🤮🤮 that type of siren on the US vehicle, no no no!!!
yes and american need to have european sirens
@@robloxturc2647 why?!
