Checking out this CG for some fly fishing on Tarryall Creek. Looks like you gotta bring your own shade at this location. Thanks for all y'all do to helping this road warrior from the southeast pick out some good campgrounds and campsites!
@@CampgroundRecon we going to be on 12 and 14 cant wait to see those rock formations. any recommendations on what trail to take idk if you guys camped there or just drove thru
Nice. We camped here October 2020, our last outing of the season. There was a mix of rain and snow and got pretty cold that night. There are a couple of walk-in sites beyond that bridge area, but really secluded and beautiful. Thanks for the video!
We have camped there 3 times the last two seasons and we’re going back in a few weeks. We love it! It’s beautiful near the creek & nice hiking too. It’s also a quick drive to taryall reservoir.
I stayed here a lot as a kid and one year a family friend took a bunch of us on a hike up the hill behind site 006 I believe and he took us through an amazing cave type thing with bats and all. I can’t remember how to get to it but wish I could find it.
Thanks for the useful video. Appreciate it. Do we need to book any entrance pass online for Pikes National forest entry in order to do camping here ? Also is this campground easily accessible from Pikes peak mountain ?

No fee for the forest. Just the campground fee. It is about an hour drive to the entrance of Pike's Peak Toll Road.
@@CampgroundRecon Thank you so much!
Is this close to lake George? Also can we paddleboard lake George?
It’s halfway between Lake George and Tarryall Reservoir.
Lake George is privately owned.
@@CampgroundRecon great video by the way. So any suggestions where we can paddleboard nearby?
@@texas2far maybe Tarryall. I think there is a small lake nearby but don’t know what access is like
So…are sites like #26 etc available for tents or only rv’s?
Either one. We've had to set up tents in the driveway at some campgrounds that didn't have enough room.
When did you visit this campground?
Mid September
Are there showers?
No showers or flush toilets at this one
