Good for summer, super hard to keep clean. So up to the wearer to go for them or not.

white jeans is best worn with pastel pink shirt and black shirt.
You could treat the jeans with a stain & water repellent spray available on Amazon. For safety sake try first on a small hidden part of the jean. My rugged wear is treated with such from the clothing manufacturer.

I love black, gray, and dark wash only. I’m 52 and don’t wear denim very often. I would wear the light wash if I were in college. So at this age, I’d look really bad. At least, I know this! Ha ha! You guys are awesome! Thank you for all of your wonderful videos. I know you are on lockdown. I hope Everyone comes out of this soon!! I miss Paris so much. I hope to get back there ASAP!
With a planned significant weight loss and retirement coinciding, I had an opportunity to start most things completely over, including my wardrobe. My donations went to the Vietnam Veterans-23 suits; 28 sport coats; shopping bags of ties, dress shirts, and casual shirts; and way too many pairs of shoes to count.
I came to Florida for college and never really left. The Florida retiree lifestyle is-no need for a suit except for special occasions, and that’s a big maybe here; kept 4 ties one might need for a funeral or wedding; for me I currently don’t own a sport coat, none fit, so that will change when the need develops. I lived in north Florida for 30 years before moving to South Florida, so I did own winter wear, plus I traveled extensively for work into snow territory often. I did keep two pair of gloves and a couple scarves just in case I need to go to the northeast in the winter.

This helped crystallize that I made the correct decisions. Having had literally no clothing that fit (dropped 6” in the waist) I needed to make some basic decisions once the weight stabilized.
When it comes to long pants, my wardrobe consists of 2 pair-dark indigo wash jeans, gray, and dark black; plus one pair tan, and olive. I thought about white and light washed jeans, but not at 60...not a good look for me.

I own a pair of purple Levis and they are awesome...gotta stretch out from blue, black, and white once in a while.

Chinos: Navy, Khaki, Olive
Cords: Brown
This way we can have a variety of fabrics and colors that all go well with anything.

I only wear dark wash and faded blue ones. Recently got into black. That's it. No grey or white or beige. I think for those colours chinos are better

better than grey jeans are washed and worn out black jeans. It is the best colour ever (also for t-shirts)! They age very well (if they are of good quality) and we help with the water footprint by not buying new ones ;) Cheers!

Jet Black, white, and off-white jeans. It's the only 3 colours I wear all year long.
I own two shades of jeans: Dark Wash and Black. That's it. That's all I need. I'm in shape, but I'm not in my 20s so I'm not wearing baby blue shades, destroyed, or other colors. My black jeans are for casually dressing up where I am usually wearing a button down shirt with a collar and will be wearing my boots. My Dark Wash jeans are my everyday jeans.

You're the experts, but instead of light wash or gray jeans I prefer chinos in light colors, such as tan or gray. Just an opinion :-)

Youre always mentioning how u love dark washed jeans but usually these dark washed jeans you are talking about are "Raw" are you just supposed to buy new ones every 6months-1year or am i missing out on something because that i how i understand it btw can someone help me i found a pair of A.P.C dark washed denim and on the website they are not considered Raw its a mix of 98% Cotton and 2% Polyurethane will they fade like Raw Jeans?

What are your thoughts on the “shine” of the jeans. I happen to have all 4 colors, but I notice that some washes are shiny while the rest have a matte finish. Do you prefer a matte finish on denim?

Matte finish is always preferable. Shiny can look bad depending on how much sheen it is.

Ashley, so back in the day jeans only came in dark blue, white and black. We would wash in salt and borax to get them lighter. As for white jeans, they became popular back in the sixties with the show I Spy. I know from a previous exchange with you that the clothing industry calls all the different types of military flight jackets bomber jackets but could you is some future video show your viewers each one with the correct name so they know the difference between a G1, an A2, an MA-1 and a B3?

I do not recommend the Diesel Larkee as I needed to get it tailored to avoid the poopy butt look.
As for the gray H&M she recommended, I exchanged it for a pair of Lucky Brand 121 Slim Fit Duncan Gray and it turned out to be one of my favorite jeans to wear along with the Diesel Buster that she recommended.
If you are someone who does squats and doesn't skip leg day, I'd recommend the Levi's 511 Performance stretch along with the jeans I mentioned earlier.

I'm not really keen to a pair of dark wash denim. It's just not my style.
I have / prefer my mains, which are : white, light grey, and black (which I only wear occasionally and not often). But other colors I do have are a light blue wash (for spring and summer as u guys mentioned), navy, and olive (for autumn).

What is the difference between dark washed jeans and black jeans and how do I tell the difference in the shop? Can they be used interchangeably?
Can you wear blue shirts and sweaters with blu jeans? Seems like a lot of blue going on.
What about white jeans? I only wear black color jeans and white colour jeans.
When it comes to white, i suggest trying chinos. They are going to need quite some washing but they look really fresh

ausphere _ I bought a pair of Levi's 541 in khaki and I regret it. Rarely wear them. It felt like a good idea at the store but after a couple of months I was "meh."
