Context: the girls are robots called "T-Dolls" designed to master one weapons and (not shown in Black Ops 3 mod) naturally control multiple copies of themselves once trained to do so, and there is a deep dive or deep mind event in the original game (Girls Frontline) where whole thing takes place in the so-called "T-Dolls" mind.
biggest reason would probably be you can't see your own model, even with cutscenes going out of first person would be rare. What this means is that every other character you see would need to be memorable and/or eyecatching, both allies and enemies. Lots of unique models in game would be taxing on the budget. (memory management in game and money constraints).
The funniest thing about this is COD Mobile is literally getting a crossover event with Girls Frontline, the game where the girls in this video come from.
That's why I clicked! May have to try cod mobile out than xD Warzones updates are too much for me, but I still have that CoD itch hear and there. PubG mobile was fun for a bit at least...
The 3d Models work so much better then the MW2 mod in terms of lighting in the environment. I think they also just look nicer since the polycount is higher, but im suprised the facial/eye movment rigging is so clean too.

It's kinda infuriating but the upside to that is that there's a clear cut way to convince them to do it. Genshin Impact was evidence enough that it's worth dumping a lot of money and time into a AAA level release as long as it manages to plunge enough people into gacha hell. Genshin had the widespread appeal due to the gameplay and graphics being up to snuff for people even outside of the weeb circle. If the shooter also has good gameplay and pretty visuals, it'll do the same, especially in western circles. People are clawing for a good shooter these days. To quote Dunkey "The scene is so dry, people are playing Valorant." All it would need to do is not fuck up the first impression and it'll make the development money back ten times over within a year of releasing by pedaling waifus to the masses.
