That Ferris Bueller show is what killed off his momentum. He was constantly compared to Michael J. Fox and Matthew Broderick, he never had a fair chance.

David Keith was ok, but he just didn't look anything like Elvis, they should either got Kurt Russell or Michael St Gerard or at least somebody that look like Elvis.
David Keith was a good pick. I'm sure all the other candidates that they had in mind were out of this world to expensive, but they had a great cast, and Chris Columbus did a hell of a job directing and writting it.

As much as I like this movie (with it's far-fetched, ridiculous story), I always had a hard time with David Keith portraying Elvis. Because he looks nothing like him at all. I always wondered why they didn't try finding an actor who looked more like him.

It needed some polishing, specially with the mom's story but it is a really classic romcom 80's gem.
